Thanks for updating this to 1.7.x, the original mod was great to have but I was disappointed because it didn't get updated. Now that I have found this, I will definitely be using this as a server moderator. Please keep with the updating, and I will keep with the LOVE.
I also noticed that highlighting can cause issues at times. If I have a filter set to highlight hte word "mod" and a player is named armodo the "mod" part of his name gets highlighted and the rest turns to white when it should be green.
There's a few issues in the current version that I'm hoping will disappear while I'm rewriting it for 2.0. One that has already disappeared, and perhaps even enhanced is that chat is split when it's rendered instead of of when it's received. This should fix the issue of both some text disappearing and color not carrying over to the next line. Stay tuned for more info.
I found a bug :
I am using this filter: http://i.imgur.com/ALxYsLw.png
the expression is: \*.*(entered snitch at)|\*.*(logged out in snitch)|\*.*(logged in to snitch)|(\[SkyNet\])
This filter works only if the msg is 1 line, if it is 2 or more it doesnt filter it
How do I fix it?
btw I am using 1.7.2
I don't usually support multiple minecraft versions, but maybe if I'm really bored one day, and it's mostly complete and bug free, I'll port it to 1.7. It also depends on how much I'd have to change. For 1.7.2 - 1.7.10, all I had to change was a constructor to get it to build. It's not guaranteed that 1.8 will be similar. In fact, I almost guarantee that it won't.
Add -> Import / Export - Server / Global Settings.
Pretty self explanatory. Add a way for people to import and export settings, filters, etc.
If you google TabbyChat the 2nd result is a video review i did a wile ago, and i get a millions questions about it wile in game. 90% of the people who try the Mod give up cause its hard to set up, but export and import could fix that... In that way people who arent that good with computers or are just lazy could have their friends just send them the config. And me, as a server owner i would make a custom one for all my player base to download. Tabby and Macro Keybind are the most useful mods ever for players, staff and server owners. Keep it up! =)
Sorry, but no. Nicks are handled by the server. Depending on the messaging plugin, it may be able to use nicknames in place of the player name, but the way you describe it, it sounds like that's not the case. Is it sending ~ with the message?
If it's not, then you're limited by the plugin. Nick and messaging plugins that use vault should work with eachother. Do do you know what plugins are being used?
If essentials is being used for nicks nicks but not messaging, you're stuck with what you have because essentials doesn't use vault.
I have downloaded tabbychat for 1.7.10 yesterday and I love the concept. However, the option to put PMs in channels does nothing. Edit: It seems to differ per server if it works or not. The PM message format differs, and it seems to catch only one type of pm format! I hope you can edit that in a future version!
And when I put something in Ignored channels it does nothing either. I was on a prison server with more the 26 ranks, and that gets a bit crazy with tabs. So I 'ignored' the A-Z ranks (separated with |) and closed what was there, but they kept recreating. What did I do wrong?
