I love the mod and am currently working it into a modpack. It would be nice if you could add the ability for players to automatically walk up blocks and keep their momentum. It would make it a lot easier to use this mod in Minecraft's terrain.
Have found a very interesting, but pretty rare, interaction with stairs. It's hard to do with any consistency, but on occasion you can shoot up a pretty long set of stairs, almost like a very fast ramp slide. I think it may have to do with jump timing, where you manage to land and jump in just the right spot so at to not get clipped by each step.

Yeah, I found this as well. It's pretty cool and difficult (but possible) to maintain. The way I found to trigger it consistently is by landing on the middle of a stair.
Man, this reminds me quite a bit of one of Corosus's mods from way back, where it added dodging from Unreal Tournament. Wondering if compatible or not? I'd assume that it isn't, but this does look cool, I was a big fan of Surf maps back when I played TF2, so trying this mechanic would be pretty neat.
Alright, so I've got a little bit of a problem; I can do the zig-zag thing just fine in a superflat world, but when I go on my survival world, I get no acceleration from it what-so-ever.
So I have this mod installed, but I'm not noticing anything different. Is there a key I have to press to activate it or something? I love rocket jumping in TF2 and would really enjoy having some decent speed in Minecraft.

Squake when combined with other mods can sometimes be very broken, would it be possible to have Squake disable and enable dynamically based on what is equipped or active?
Examples of things that can be broken:
- OpenBlocks glider or EnderIO gliders constantly add forward momentum which quickly gets your speed past 100 blocks per second. When combined with trimping you jump high in the air and are able to glide again for exponentially faster speeds. Ended up going 1,500 blocks per second before crashing the server.
- When attempting to use a jetpack (tested with Simply Jetpacks) you end up in a scenario similar to being in a 0 gravity source server. You can't move forward normally, you have to skate to gain any speed.
Both of these issues require items to be in specific trackable spots, a dynamic config that prevents squake from being active when certain items are held or certain items are equipped you can negate the effects.
Quote from Scorpion365»Isn't bunny hopping and strafe jumping already in Minecraft?
Bunny hopping wasn't in Minecraft, and neither was the more widely known version of strafe jumping.
Way back when a lot of games used the Quake engine for movement, bunny hopping was a popular way of getting from point A to point B quickly. In Minecraft, you just have sprint jumping, which is nowhere near what bunny hopping is. Bunny hopping is kind of resembles a snake-like movement pattern, as the player swerves back and forth while constantly jumping. This allowed the player to gain amazing amounts of speed, compared to regular movement speed. Strafe jumping was simply going left/right and jumping. This also gave the player a slight speed boost, but wasn't as efficient as bunny hopping. In Minecraft, you can jump in the left and right directions, but that won't give you the same effect like back in Quake.
This looks pretty good. I'll try it out ASAP
You guys have to check out S4 League too. Just Imagining how would be doing Melee Weapon Jump Attacks, Guard Dash, Commet and Reload Cancel on MC!
Thiking a little, it would be good if you could modularize your movements from a lot of games, using two master keys to swap the modes or assigning a shortcut ( combining keys if possible ) to change to an especific game mode.
This is an amazing mod! I love how the bhop mechanic can be implemented into Minecraft and it feels so good and easy to move around places! I cant live without this anymore now that I've tried it and Im wondering are you still updating this mod? I would really want to use this in my 1.8 server.
I love this mod, i used to play cs 1.6 surf maps too much and this mod is just too fun, i have an idea, could you have source like config options (e.g. sv_friction sv_airaccl. and others) and also some way to surf like in cs 1.6 surf maps. Love the mod, recommended it to like 40 of my buddies when i saw it.
Hey dude this is a great mod but are there any servers with this mod on? I just think it would be amazing!
Not that I'm aware of. Note, however, that almost all of this mod is client-side-only. The only thing that requires the mod to be server-side is allowing you to take fall damage without losing all your speed.

We should post videos/pictures of our high speeds and have highest record speeds gotten through bunny hopping.
The mod isn't compatible with Smart Moving, but could it be compatible with Freerunning? It's an old mod that was discontinued but the guy released the source code. Someone updated it and released it here.

Probably not compatible.
Are you familiar with how bunnyhopping works?

Great work on this

I am a prehistoric histories and manga / anime fan.
