I'm trying to move my DBS. According to https://github.com/SkyNetAB/enhanced-portals/wiki/Items in the description about Location Cards this should be very straightforward. However after moving the DBS, when I try using a newly configured location card on the portal controller nothing happens. The only way I can find to connect my portals to the moved DBS is to break the portal controller and reinitialise. However this loses all the portal configuration settings. For now I have gone back to a world save that I took just before moving the DBS as I don't want to have to reconfigure all my portals from scratch.
I'm running 3.0.7 of the Enhanced Portals mod with Forge 1231.
Whether you're are using a Dialing Device or a Network/Redstone Interface combination to connect the portals, I have a solution for you; however, this will only work if the old DBS is broken. Since you wish to move the DBS, this shouldn't be a problem.
After moving your DBS to its new location, the portals need to realize that they are no longer connected to the old DBS. To do this, you'll need to attempt a connection either through the Dialing Device or the Redstone Interface of each portal.
When the portal tries to connect, you'll get the following error in the chat -- «[Error] The DBS could not be found. Insert a new valid Location Card to continue» -- once you insert the new card into the Portal Controller, the portal will be connected to the new DBS with all of the configurations intact.
This needs to be done with each individual portal before they can connect again. DO NOT try to connect a new-DBS portal with an old-DBS portal -- in SPM; I would get kicked if I tried, and I'm not sure what would happen on a server world.
Also, if you have portals to other dimensions such as the Nether, you'll to access those dimensions by other means (eg, a Nether Portal, other established portals, etc) in order to get to the portals and their Portal Controllers.
Let me know if you do have any problems.
Edit: We'll look into making this easier with the portal automatically realizing it's no longer connected to the old DBS.
I know I am probably missing something, but I cant config this mod. I have the latest update to this mod, the latest forge, and I still cant config this mod from the game menu (in game or on the title screen). I have loaded a world and it is all there. I have already built several portals and set them up. I just dont use any redstone/power mods. I dont want to "industrialize" my world. Im trying to make an adventure fantasy map with several dimensions. I need portals, but dont want to power them with yet another mod. How do you disable the power requirements. I have heard in several spot lights, and read on the forums that you can disable it. I just cant find any instructions on how to do this task. The only thing I can see is open the code source and re-write it. I dont want to have to do that.

OK forgive me, but I can not figure out how to make this mod work to link two "worlds". I have my primary world all set up and running on my FTB server. I have created and uploaded an additional "world" file with a separate name (for ease, just say "world2"). It says to link portals you have to be in the spot to create the location card... well how do I get to the second world without a portal already set up to go there? seems like a catch 22 to me.
I have read the wiki, and read through this entire 8 page thread, and can not figure out how to do this.
it says in step 13. Goto the other dimension and create another portal with a different ID... again the catch 22.... how do I get to another FTB world, if I don't have a portal already setup? (when I used to use multiverse with bukkit, you would just type a command to import the world, then teleport yourself there... I cant seem to do that with FTB, and EHP3...
so bottom line, can someone give me an A-Z set of instructions on how to accomplish this task? (Link multiple WORLDS with EHP3). I want to have 3 worlds for people to go tear up, without tearing up the primary world,. and need to get these portals to them working.
Thanks!
PS. I have the power requirement turned off in the config.

If you are using mystcraft you could just /tpx [dimensionid]
And making another world like that wont work if you dont have Multiverse installed since there wont be any mod that can run some code to load that world.

by world do you mean different worlds saves different dimension in the same world ? if it's the first then you can't obviously
there is 2 ways to set up portals
if you want a portal to connect to others portals and choose which portal to open then use the Dialing Device
if you only want 2 portals to connect to each others then use Network Interface
first craft 12 Dimensional Bridge Stabilizer then put in this formation
for each 12 new block it adds 2 more2 portals connection by default you can only open 4 portals
now craft Location Cards and Glasss and wear them , next put the location card in the DBS then take them out
start by building your portal with Portal Frame Blocks it can be mostly any shape and size
craft Portal Controller & Redstone Interface & Network Interface if you want to connect 2 portals only
craft Portal Controller & Redstone Interface & Dialing Device if you want to connect more than 2 portals and choose which location to teleport to
now put the Redstone Interface & Network Interface in any place withing the portal fame preferably in the middle left or right because when using a Network Interface the only way to open portals is with a red stone signal like buttons , levers , pressure plates
then put the Portal Controller however it most not be placed the bottom rows
now right click with a location card on the Portal Controller and it should say portal initialized successfully , right click with a wrench on the Portal Controller and choose a Unique Identifier this is not an important if you are using the Network Interface Identifier also no 2 portals can have the same Unique Identifier next right click with the wrench of the Network Interface and choose a Network Identifier those have to be the same for the 2 portals
all that is left to build the other portal the same way ( it doesn't have to be the same shape or size ) and choose a different Unique Identifier but use the same Network Identifier then simply put lever or button an click and teleport
the dialing device is pretty much the same however unlike the Network Interface it doesn't need a Redstone nor the Network Interface blocks you just put it with a network controller then enter other portals Unique Identifier and right click to to open a passage to that specific portal
If you are using mystcraft you could just /tpx [dimensionid]
And making another world like that wont work if you dont have Multiverse installed since there wont be any mod that can run some code to load that world.
Not using mystcraft, these are actual complete world files (like multiverse worlds with bukkit).
And that's what I am asking to do... I was advised to use this mod to accomplish that (and from page 1 of the mod):
"Use them on your server as thresholds to other worlds or biomes"
So a definitive yes or no, can this mod allow me to create links to multiple "Worlds" with a world being defined as a separate complete world entity(with its own file folder) as far as minecraft is concerned. (I don't see why it couldn't, the nether, and the end are technically different "worlds" they have their own file folders just like an overworld world does). When you travel to one, the game just loads that particular "world" file. This portal should do the same thing... its getting that link setup that I don't know how to do when its on a separate world.
If there answer is NO, then does Feed the beast have something like Bukkit multiverse mod, that will allow you to link multiple worlds together? (I do NOT want to use mystcraft dimensions!) or can someone tell me another way to set up additional worlds and links with FTB?

No.
The reason you can create portals to Nether and End is that Minecraft loads these worlds when the game is started. When you create another world the game does not know of this world since there is nothing that can load it. Mods that add their own dimensions use some code to make these load.
There is nothing like a Multiverse mod besides mystcraft that I know of.
You could try and use Cauldron instead of Forge, Not sure if cauldron is still alive. But Cauldron will let you run plugins on your server > You can use Multiverse.

OK thanks for the info. Just seemed like it "should" be able to.
As for cauldron, with the recent EULA hoopla its done for now... so I don't want to use it when it wont support future changes.

and when relaunch i find two copy's of the horse, one on each side of the portal, sometimes it doesn't crash but it just teleports me back in an instant and still creates the copy.
also pushing the horse without mounting it will result in creating a copy of the other side without teleporting the horse!

I really have liked what you did with this mod, I think it really changes up the experience. I hope you dont mind but I made a mod spotlight on my channel, if you dont mind putting it in the forum post that would be AMAZING! Here is is:
I'm having issues with the Redstone Interface. I'm trying to use Output - Portal Created to trip a timer (well, an Automagy hourglass) so that the portal shuts down some time after it's created. The other interface, set to shut the portal off on pulse, works fine; I've got a button on the other side of it for manual shutoff. However, the Output interface is never outputting a signal.
I've tried on Portal Created and Portal Active. I've tried with the hourglass right next to the interface, and I've tried with ProjectRed red alloy wire, Automagy redcrystal, and vanilla redstone, as intermediaries. Nothing.
The portal uses a dialing device, and I've tried dialing both another portal in the overworld, and one in the Nether. I even tried creating the portal from the other end in case it was somehow triggering only on a remote dial-in. Nothing yields even a single unit of redstone signal.
I'm on 3.0.7, but the changelog since doesn't seem to refer to the redstone interface that I can see. Getting the server to update would be nontrivial, unfortunately - it's running the latest Resonant Rise - but I can try pushing for it if this is a thing that's since been fixed.
Am I missing some ultra-important thing about how the redstone interface works?

Hey Shurhaian,
The Redstone Interface outputs a signal to a surrounding block but does not output directly from itself. Not sure how your set up is but here are some screenshots to help you out.

Dimension, like Nether,End or Mystcraft ages/dimension etc. You can't link two diffrent saves/worlds like that.
by world do you mean different worlds saves different dimension in the same world ? if it's the first then you can't obviously
there is 2 ways to set up portals
if you want a portal to connect to others portals and choose which portal to open then use the Dialing Device

first craft 12 Dimensional Bridge Stabilizer then put in this formation

also pushing the horse without mounting it will result in creating a copy of the other side without teleporting the horse!
