Yes I wanted that, but there is no such config in the metallurgy config file all there is a config to adjust the spawn
Oh, my bad. I had the wrong file in mind. Here is my BlockOverride as an example for you.
# Configuration file
##########################################################################################################
# info
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------#
# To change the harvestability, create a 'blocks_<toolclass>' category. See BlockDefaults for examples.
# Format of the block entries: <mod-id>:<name>:<metadata>=<harvestlevel>
# A metadata of -1 will apply the setting for all metadatas.
# A harvestlevel of -1 removes the tools effectiveness for this block.
# You can also add new properties. An Example:
# blocks_pickaxe { I:"minecraft:chest:-1"=0 }
# blocks_axe { I:"minecraft:chest:-1"=-1 }
# This changes the chest to be harvestable by pickaxes instead of axes. Note that this does not make any sense, since chests don't require a tool to break it.
#
# Mining Levels:
# 0 - §7Stone
# 1 - §4Iron
# 2 - §cRedstone
# 3 - §dObsidian
# 4 - §9Cobalt
# 5 - §5Manyullyn
# 6 - §5Manyullyn§d+
# 7 - 7

Ok, I think I remember reading somewhere on here, that I could remove/change (or re-roll) the last bonce modifier from leveling up. My reason for asking is my ax that I use to cut down trees, now has the modifier auto smelt. That would be fine if I wanted a lot of charcoal.
Is there any way to set exactly what level up bonus modifier you get on tools instead of it being random? It's pretty much the only thing I dislike about this mod, because there is a specific order and set of modifiers I like and I don't want to have to make 30 picks and level them all up to get the combination I want...
EDIT: ESPECIALLY ON SKY FACTORY WHERE I HAVE LIMITED MATERIALS >:C
For example:
on level 1 It would always add Mossy to any tool
on level 2 it would always add Haste for tools and Sharpness for weapons
on level 3 it would add emerald for tools and fire aspect to broadswords/longswords/rapiers and beheading to cleaver/battleaxe/scythe
I would love if there was a config option to treat materials as metals or non-metals. Right now, metals require a smeltery and casts to make parts, and non-metal parts can be crafted with wooden patterns. If I want to change a metal so that it can be crafted with wooden patterns, the only config option I can use to accomplish this at the moment is the option "B:"Craft metals with Wood Patterns"=false" in the Tinkers Construct config file. But this just toggles ALL metals, not specific ones.
Is there any chance of such an option being added?

Well, you could disable free modifiers, and instead have every level grant a free slot. Otherwise, I don't think so.
Regarding replacing tool parts: what happens if the resulting tool has less modifier slots, but all slots were previously used up? So, all paper tool, full redstone, then replace all the parts with Cobalt or something. Will the modifiers stay or vanish?

any idea if this is going to be continued to 1.8 and 1.9 any time soon? i was kind of disappointed that it wasn't updated with tinkers ;D
1.8 its not worth bothering with as majority of 1.8 in terms of modding will be skipped over completely .... 1.9.4 and 1.10.x it would be most likely be coded for though.
You've awoken on this barren wasteland planet, a civilization once ruled and proud, but where is everyone? All the buildings are empty, nothing remains, all that can be seen is mass hordes in all directions of zombies, skeletons and other creatures never before seen. Inside isn't safe, Outside isn't safe, what will u do to survive this planet and escape? Can you survive the 1st day without death claiming you?
There is no natural light, when night time comes it's pitch black, no moon light and all that is heard is the scratching and moaning of whats around lurking to destroy you. Mining reveals unbeknownst horrors from the rocks just waiting to come out and devour your soul. Puddles of liquid blue or purple are not water, but also intent on harming you.
Does TC2 makes it possible to have the same progression as Iguana did? The nice thing about this mod was that u could alter the mining level on ores and make it harder and slower to progress. The config also gave u alot of options.

I have a "little" problem with the mining levels.
I have my own "pack" that have Applied Energistics 2 in it. And of course TiC and IguanaTweaks and a few other mods.
I'm in an early game, and I like to make a AE2 Grindstone, because that is suposed to be an early game ore doubling thing.
I'm lucky and I find Charged Certus Quartz before I find any normal Certus. I can mine it with my IRON pickaxe.
Now I have BRONZE pickaxe and find normal Certus Quartz and CAN'T MINE IT!
I just don't understand, Charged Certus is a rare and precious thing, and you supposed to use it later in the game to make Fluix Crystals.
I hope you understand, I don't want to waste it just to make a Grindstone. You supposed to use normal Certus for those things...
So it doesn't make any sense that you can mine a mid or end game ore; the Charged Quartz, with an IRON pick, but you can't mine the early game ore; the normal Certus even with an BRONZE pickaxe.
I think this isn't right, because it makes the grindtone totally wortless and useless.
It must be the opposite way, mine the common Certus Quartz with lower tier pick, and mine the rare, precious Charged Certus with the higher tier pick.
I didn't find anything in the configs to change quartz mining level.
Is there a way to chaneg it?
Or can you fix it so it works like it supposed to be? Make the normal quartz an early game thing, and the charged one to a mid or late game thing?
Those mining levels should be editable in the ITT configs.
You could install and use Waila Harvestability (+ Waila) to view the mining levels required for blocks in-game.
No matter which config file I search, but there is nothing about quartz or any material mining level.
If you know exactly WHERE I can change it, or HOW, please, can you tell me?
I never have problems with mining levels. At least none of the mods that I used to use have problems like this, that I can't mine some ore at a certain level. So I never needed to change mining levels. How I can change leveles? In which config file and what I need to change?
I relatively new to AE2 (I just play with it in the MaterialEnergy3 pack, but that is not like you play in a normal world.)
I never included it in my modded Minecratf, so this is the first time I like to play with it.
With other mods I never have problem that I can not mine something.
If my memory serves me right, there is one config option that can toggle the feature to change all mining levels and you have to start Minecraft after that to generate the additional config files in which you can actually change those mining levels.
Still including Waila Harvestability would be a great help for sure.
So..Do you KNOW it or not?
Sorry but you don't help me in any way, I don't know what I supposed to change and in what config file. In that I need help!
I don't care about that epilepsy generator, annoyingly flashing mod or any other mod. I posting not about what I need, to see the harvest levels of anything. Please read my post again, because what you "aswering" to me is doesn't help me to solve my problem in any way!

Repair it fully? no not the just the capacitor but the pick itself.

Ditto.
Yup, that pretty much explains why i was having issues =/, just waiting for release now.
Minecraft fanatic, xla mod finally up and running on Ranked Boost and Pokemon GO server.
Just in case anyone is using this mod in 1.7.10:
If you can craft stone tools even if you have "B:disableStoneTools=true", the issue may be fixed by removing stone material from MaterialOverride.cfg
1.8 its not worth bothering with as majority of 1.8 in terms of modding will be skipped over completely .... 1.9.4 and 1.10.x it would be most likely be coded for though.
