Additionally, instead of making a useless tool whitelist, can you make a blacklist? I only want vanilla tools useless pretty much, so I don't want ALL tools useless, but if I keep vanilla tools in, theres no point in iguanas.

Hey, I'm so glad that this was finally ported to 1.7.10, but I think I've come across a big issue.
After making a flint pickaxe, I found that I can't mine any copper with the pick. This might just be me not understanding the tool progression, but the tool pattern says it only allows stone, flint, obsidian, or netherack. If it is me just not understanding the progression, could you put something on the main post explaining it?

You mean like
Pickaxe Mining Level Boosting
Pickaxes can gain a mining level
Pickaxes gain xp for the mining level like they do for regular levelups
Pickaxes start with 1 harvest level less, therefore have to be "mining leveled up" to reach full effectiveness
MobHeads can be used as modifiers to instantly boost the mining level
Exchanging the tool head removes the mob head and substract a bit of mining xp
Furnace recipes for ores aren't disabled, or even in the config. Also, vanilla swords are still craftable and useful. I think there's an event for damaging entities you can use.
Is this the mod that sets vanilla tools as useless? I'm having an issue with Ex Nihilo crooks. Those really ought to be exempt from the nerf and they're not. I'm running a 1.7.10 test world with mostly the same mods as Agrarian Skies (all the ones updated to 1.7.10 anyway) and this issue is causing a problem. On a regular world not being able to crook the leaves isn't a huge problem, except I can't get silk worms for string. When I get to a skyblock world though this would make it unplayable.
Ability to also make non-Tconstruct Hoes, Swords and Bows useless
The ability to black/whitelist vanilla tools that shall/shall not be made useless (with sensible defaults)
Sweet! Thank you very much for these two options. (I absolutely adore how you implemented it.)
@schuby
You make it seem that you are having an issue with tools not being able to mine what it says it can? Have you leveled the tool after creating it and aqcuired the tier bonus?

Mojang, please prioritize bug fixes before content.
Those are only the default values, that Forge Configs fail to properly write into the file for some reason. Doesn't have any impact. Also it's inside a comment.
I don't know anything about Forge syncronizing configs. Would be kinda weird, considering there are clientside only config options in many mods.

Is there a way I can re-enable some tools? I have some mods that include end-game tools that are currently disabled. Also, is there a way I can disable tools like vanilla swords and the bow?

I can't seem to replace pickaxe heads from alumite to ardite. I could for flint->copper->iron->bronze->alumite, but not to ardite. My pickaxe is at Master (which it was at during bronze->alumite), boosted (since flint), and repaired to full durability.

You have to level one up in every step.
@bonusboni Will the settings for easy patterns and easy tool building come back?
You mean like
Pickaxe Mining Level Boosting
Possibly.
Oh, yeah, sorry bout' that. I'm oblivious.
Have you thought about having the tinkers book modified for Iquana Tweaks?

Tools works fine.
@gmousss Don't use cauldron, or wait until cauldron releases the fixed version.
Thank you very much! After updating cauldron to the latest version everything works fine!
Perhaps you need to level up to a boost? Not sure.
