Unless you backed up your save files the only easy way to get your villagers back is to use spawn eggs.

Yes, I am still fine tuning the miner AI so that they get stuck less often which causes them to occasionally disappear. If your villagers disappear for no apparent reason though it may be due to mod compatibility issues or problems with Forge.

When you download the mod it will appear as a single .jar file. Move this file to your mods folder to install it.

Yes some problems with the farmer have already been fixed.

The plan is to have villagers go to any guild hall chest that has the materials they need.

It depends on the other mod. If the mod adds a new type of profession to the existing vanilla villager professions they shouldn't be affected by this mod, but if the mod replaces vanilla villagers completely it probably will not work.

Most likely
