First off, please use spoiler tags around your crash report. No one likes to read a page or so of Minecraft gibberish when they're just perusing the forums. Secondly, I'm wondering if your Minegicka download might've been corrupted. Try redownloading it and see if that works. Otherwise, we'll have to do some more tests since I'm not all that good at reading this, sadly.

For some reason sometimes i cast a shield-snowstorm thing (the one that sprays snow layers) then I leave, and if I come some time later or repawn near there the spell is cast in the same place for no reason (nor me recasting it).
Not a big deal but is there a bug with this?

Make thingys less expensive to craft, honestly it takes 16 gold and 16 iron to make a blue thingy, and 4 stacks of both to make a purple one. Unless you have a giant a** factory that takes a hundred chunks wide of quarrys or you waste your whole life at farming mages, some items like the super staff, the tier 3 max-mana upgrade or some alternative staves are just impossible to make. This is surprising considering that, in exchange, the staff enchanting table is worth its components and trades.

The storm currently has 1 bug, I'm looking into it.
About the thingy's recipe, that's as cheap as I'll go, originally you need 1 emerald for each thingy.
Higher tier items are very expensive, I know, that's why I made it so you can choose whether to craft strong staves or enchant weak staves.
And this mod is nowhere near the end of it's development, lots of things will be added sooner or later, there'll be other ways to acquire higher-tier thingys and items

There are 2 main reasons for the spells being weak at first with just the basic staff
1. It's not that hard to get the basic staff, if with just the basic staff you can easily kill every mob with a few elements then it'll be too overpowered. Besides, each spell has it's own strength and weakness, for example lightning can chain through mobs, killing multiple at the same time, but short-rage while beam is single-target but can be shot from very very far away
2. Lots of people, I believe, will use magic to play PvP games, since players only have 20 hearts and some armor, if the spells are too strong then PvP battles won't last long enough.
Either get better equipment or use the right spells for the right time
I seem to be having the same issue with the spray-shields like Pixelmod I was wondering if there is a solution you've found to fix the issue since its been a few weeks since it was reported last. I'm just curious because it seems to be an issue with only sprays combined with shields and the client/server seems to recognize it's still there when the area loads back up. Is it possible the sprays are glitching in place where you would cast it?
I'm already fixing lots of existing bugs, development is being slowed down a bit because I'm having some other matters to attend to but the next update will not be minor.

hey WilliamLe im having problems i've been messing around in creative mode hemmys staff but for some reason no matter what staff i use i cant use spells like Vortex
Edit: i can use the short spells like snow or depotion

First off, please use spoiler tags around your crash report. No one likes to read a page or so of Minecraft gibberish when they're just perusing the forums. Secondly, I'm wondering if your Minegicka download might've been corrupted. Try redownloading it and see if that works. Otherwise, we'll have to do some more tests since I'm not all that good at reading this, sadly.
Though this does seem to be causing an issue itself: cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/nbt/NBTSizeTracker
You should re-download the real version for 1.7.2
And self-spells have been implemented in 1.7.10

It certainly isn't. Probably you got something wrong, maybe wrong mod version or wrong forge version

About the thingy's recipe, that's as cheap as I'll go, originally you need 1 emerald for each thingy.
Higher tier items are very expensive, I know, that's why I made it so you can choose whether to craft strong staves or enchant weak staves.
And this mod is nowhere near the end of it's development, lots of things will be added sooner or later, there'll be other ways to acquire higher-tier thingys and items
There are 2 main reasons for the spells being weak at first with just the basic staff
1. It's not that hard to get the basic staff, if with just the basic staff you can easily kill every mob with a few elements then it'll be too overpowered. Besides, each spell has it's own strength and weakness, for example lightning can chain through mobs, killing multiple at the same time, but short-rage while beam is single-target but can be shot from very very far away
2. Lots of people, I believe, will use magic to play PvP games, since players only have 20 hearts and some armor, if the spells are too strong then PvP battles won't last long enough.
Either get better equipment or use the right spells for the right time
