Someone else had the same crash (with the same line of code) earlier though, so that's probably not the cause in this case.
did you find clues about what is causing that crash ?
Yeah I'm pretty sure I know what caused it. It looks like a sound had no position, which shouldn't happen; it was probably a sound from another mod. I added a check to make sure that it can't crash there again.
So I've fixed all the crashes mentioned so far, and I've also fixed the lag caused by minecarts (which was most noticeable with Railcraft installed). It shouldn't lag any more (for that reason)!
And, what's more, I've created the first 1.8 release. =)
Nice! I'll have to update my pack now 1.8 release is a nice surprise as well. Where there any changes/difficulties with porting it to 1.8 (Forge wise)?
The mod is great, I've been looking for an updated mod that does this!
As a side note, but an important one, thank you for keeping your showcase video short and to the point.
Edit: Your mod pages are also very well organized and make great use of spoilers to concisely show information. It's sad that I have to point this out, one would think more mod authors would do this. Thank you for being one of the rare ones!

Not really. They changed a few things (it look me so long to figure out how to get the block metadata), but they didn't change sounds that much.

for the cave reverb, how well does this work with mods that replace stone? or do i need to manually add those new block types to config list?
It's based on the block material, so as long as they used the stone material (which they should be using), it should work. There are a few other high-reverb materals too, like ice, and glass.
Exactly the kind of mod i am looking for. Will i have to do much work in config files or should Chisel and Thaumcraft blocks play well along with the materials?
Just went through all of the posts and realized no ones asked this question yet so I thought I'd throw it out there =P
Is there a possibility you could make this into a LiteLoader mod also? If you still wanted to keep Forge support you could have 2 downloads (And some mods even have one download that works with both)
I know some mods can't be made into a litemod, but usually if the mod is just clientside it can be, so just wondering
Might be interesting to look into.
Using LiteLoader with a cracked launcher is never a bad mix and I wouldn't doubt if thats one of the issues
this isn't a litemod
It doesn't matter... it says in your crash report you're using LiteLoader and just having LiteLoader by itself with a cracked launcher can cause many issues.

Thanks!
Oh god that's great news! Thank you so much for finding the minecart lag! I never found time to check myself, so this is great!

Ah, it looks like you have FML instead of Forge itself. The Minecraft Forge download is here: http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge//1.8
It's a bit confusing, since they have such similar download pages. =)
It's based on the block material, so as long as they used the stone material (which they should be using), it should work. There are a few other high-reverb materals too, like ice, and glass.
