Hey Sheenrox, Is it possible to configure the blood effect or regen speed?
Also it's abit difficult to do things when being nauseated early, why not have fatige?
It be cool if meat(Beef, Pork, Chicken, ect.)helps regenerate your blood abit quicker.
An issue popped up with the mod tonight in multi-player testing. Basically, when I was effected below 50% my partner in crime was also receiving the nausea and blur effects and then their screen would go black. They tried logging out and back in and something curious happened, my nausea and blur would clear up momentarily then come back a moment later before they would log back in. On their login, it would clear up again for a moment for us both, then my effects would come back, so would hers, then her screen went black again....
We are running the lastest forge, along with a number of other mods on an E3 1230v2 server with 10Gb of RAM allocated:

Its not a modpack for a public server yet, but I would like it to be in the next few weeks...just gotta iron out these bugs =)
Extremely helpful suggestion: Would you possibly make this compatible with health potions, or at least the regen potions/effect to be fair? The nausea is the first effect, and can get annoying with that long regen time, so I think it would be fair to have these potions work slightly with the mod, like a 10% increase in health regen or heal 10% of the amount of missing health you have.
Agreed! And/or, I would love to see something like tiered bandages that stop blood loss and recover it a small amount. Maybe even something like a tourniquet.
Wool Bandage - Slows down bleed a little, and eventually when it stops, restores a small amount.
Linen Bandage - (Made from Flax plant fibers) Slows down bleeding faster, and when it stops, restores a little more blood than wool.
Tourniquet - Stops bleeding, and prevents the player from bleeding out, but doesn't restore blood lost. Make them somewhat hard to make, maybe a linen bandage and a lead. Like so (replace wool with the bandage):
Just suggestions of course!.. This mod has a TON of potential, and I can't wait to see where it goes! I love it for the idea of a hardcore island survival map/modpack, maybe with Mob Dismemberment by iChun, and Zombie Awareness by Coros >: D
You mentioned that Minecraft is pretty much medieval tech level, which is true, but not for modded Minecraft, which could be just about anything. Adding blood bags, syringes, etc. might fit well if you have some tech mods installed alongside this mod. From your end, you could just disable these with a config option to get the medieval tech level (and a higher difficulty level).
Other than Blood Magic, there's also Tinker's Construct, Necromancy and Evil Craft, which all use blood, so you might want integration with them as well.
Blood loss from mob attacks, falling, etc. makes sense, but from poison, potion of harming and other potions it really doesn't. That might be a good place to start if you want to change what damage causes what blood loss.
Instead of adding a separate bleeding out mechanic and having the player just immediately die at a certain blood level, maybe you should have the player take a half heart of damage at intervals which are shorter for lower blood levels. So at 0% you'd pretty much instantly die because there's no delay, but at 35% you'd be dying fast enough that you're not likely to save yourself. Also, since you're taking damage, you lose more blood, which would give you the bleeding out mechanic as a side effect.
A potion to raise the blood regen rate might be a nice addition and would still fit with the medieval theme ("blood tonics" have been around for ages).
