This mod was created for the purpose of automating mob farms and I thought I would share it with everyone.
Version 2.0 is now in Alpha for MC 1.8!
You add a blaze rod to the spawner (just like any other upgrade) and then all mobs that are spawned and killed have their drops smelted. For example, a cow that was spawned with the blaze upgrade, when killed, will drop steak. Theoretically this should work with mod added recipes!
Getting Started:
The first thing you need to do is acquire a nether star and craft it with 2 sticks to get the Nether Wand.
Right click a mob with below half health to get an Enhanced Spawner that will spawn that mob.
The Nether wand has one use so decide which mob you wish to spawn wisely.
You may break and place the spawner as you wish without losing it.
To upgrade the spawner, simply right click with redstone, lapis, or emerald blocks.
To get maximum efficiency, use 20 redstone blocks
To make the spawner spawn more than one mob at a time (up to 5) use 4 lapis blocks
To make the spawner spawn whether a player is near or not, use one emerald block
Finally, to activate the spawner, apply redstone signal!
This spawner can spawn any mob from any mod thus tested!
I really like it! Just a few things though. I see multiple colors, do the spawners colors mix when right clicked with multiple of the blocks? Can you only use one or the other gem blocks? And finally, I suggest making them a full block, considering they need to be activated by a redstone signal. Also making the bottom of the block unsee through. Just for visuals. But again, looks great!
The colors do indeed mix. You can use all of the upgrades to make your spawner turn white.
I'll look into making it a full block as well!
It doesn't necessarily need to be a FULL block, just so long as it has a full bottom. (for covering up cables and things connecting to it. (Or a lever haha)) c:
I am desperately in need of some better textures for the enhanced spawner. If anyone is willing to make a texture for an 8x8x8 pixel cube that sort of fits this mod, I would love to use it and of course put your name in the credits for texturing
There is also a 16x16 flat surface that could use a nice texture (its the bottom face that isn't open) This is what it looks like now: Current Texture pic (Note: the cube in the center should be in black and white - or close - to allow easy color changing from the upgrades!)

The lower left 6 squares are the inner cube, the right two squares are the bottom face of the spawner and the rest are the cage edges.
Here you go. Happy to help. I suggest enabling alpha rendering for this particular block. To do so add this line of code to your block class:
@SideOnly(Side.CLIENT)
@Override
public int getRenderBlockPass() {
return 1;
}
Also add this before your model.render():
GL11.glEnable(GL11.GL_NORMALIZE);
GL11.glBlendFunc(GL11.GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL11.GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA);
GL11.glEnable(GL11.GL_BLEND);
Just because there are other mods that do similar things doesn't mean I shouldn't share my work with other people. I did this because I wanted to learn, not because I wanted my mod to be famous. If you don't like my mod, then you don't have to download it

Modpack devs:
You may use this mod in your modpack unless told otherwise. Easy as that!

Could I have the texture map?
