This is a pretty awesome mod, I highly encourage you to update it to 1.8.9 since it has some pretty great stuff in it that make for potential use in mod-packs... Oh and don't bother with 1.7.10, it's really overrated.

Yes Please update to 1.7.10 That is the version of Minecraft I use and It is the FOrge I use for my other mods. Also Is it Mod Compatible?
