The biome list for which biomes to apply coral to doesn't save, or rather, it doesn't even apply. The moment I change it and go back in game, coral is still in rivers. I want them only in oceans.
I have extreme block breaking stutter when using betterfoliage. Like breaking many grass blocks with an enchanted shovel. Removing the mods makes it dissapear. I have an i7 4790 @4ghz, 8gigs of RAM and an GTX970, that shouldn't be an issue at all. The mods I'm using are in the image. No java arguments only -Xmx5g
But im running 1.8.9 Better Foliage vers 1.8x 2.0.2
When i select rounded logs most logs dissapear.
Is there a way to fix this?
Sure there is: updating
2.0.2 is ancient, more than a year old. I recommend you use 2.0.14, the latest has a problem where config options don't save properly.

I don't think Better Foliage is playing very nicely with Lithos Core 1.11. When better foliage is enabled and Lithos Core is loaded, all logs are invisible.
I played around with this a bit a while back, and discovered that the issue is a result of a texture pack using optifine to modify the leaf colour. Birch leaves aren't normally registered to the colour handler, and BetterFoliage doesn't get the modified leaf colour from Optifine, it just gets the default vanilla one.
If you delete the birch colour map from your resource pack, it will disable the birch leaf re-colour, and it will at least match. Not a solution, be a workaround.
Ah, I got around to it later than I thought, but I tried this and it worked. It didn't make the extra leaves blend, but made the original leaves no longer blend, as you said. It's not my preferred option, but they match for now. Is there a way to get them to match while having birch trees blend? After all, it works with other trees. If not, this is a good enough solution I guess.
I also would have had another post here asking for help but it was solved by this too. I had other mismatches that I never noticed because it occurs in a biome I seldom visit. In swamp biomes, the EXTRA leaves correctly changed color compared to how they look in a "normal" biome (such as a forest), but the normal leaves refused to change/blend. In other words, the opposite issue of what was happening with Birch trees in deserts/savannas. I decided to delete the swamp files from the texture pack, and they now also match, and as a bonus, they "changed" to the biome specific color (I thought the opposite would happen and they'd simply appear the normal color like Birch trees now do). So, this helped me fix this too.
Hey awesome mod but I was watching a showcase from the old mod better leaf's and grass I was wondering if there's a way to get the old connected grass feature instead of all green block and if there's a way I can use the 3D grass??? Those features were so awesome
With ars magica 2 returned, that's a new leaf type to setup. With it's default behavior of dropping it's own leaf particle, that produces a small challenge as well.
Speaking of challenge, with any non vanilla leaf, I get a rather pronounced flicker going on with better foliage on trees. Is there a setting I should be adjusting?
1.10.2-2.1.3 is the latest release on curse, so I think I'm up to date?

I found a [BUG] a conflict between MoreCommands-1.11.2-5.0 and BetterFoliage-MC1.11.2-2.1.3 .On login to a Multiplayer server , the world is invisible.
Can someone else test these 2 mods together to verify this to be a bug .Thx

I guess you have tried disabling leaves/leaves opaque? Also ive had same problem with Vanilla leaves and logs, and i
found out that i had 2 config files.
The problems goes away if I disable rounded logs. I think the issue is that the game registers bamboo as a log, but it uses a model similar to fenceposts. So when it chamfers it, it just makes the whole thing disappear. I can live with just not using rounded logs, but I do like how they look normally.

You have to blacklist the following: com.sdj64.highlands.block.BlockHighlandsLog
Unfortunately, that will disable round logs for all other Highlands wood types as well, as the same block is used for all of them, and there is currently no way in BF to match on subtypes. I'll give the issue some thought.

I don't think there is any special dependency, so the version recommended by Forge should do fine.

ive tried 1720 up to 1761, it keeps crashing.
I get to the MC menu, then i notice the background is white, then it crashes. Ive tried the 2.14 version and the 2.15 version.
So what could cause it. Well it was Optifine. Vers OptiFine 1.8.9 HD U H5 and OptiFine 1.8.9 HD U H2
They dont work very well with BF 2.14 or 2.15
But OptiFine 1.8.9 HD U H6 does. So if anyone encounters a crash now you know.
BUT alas, 2.14 doesnt give me any options for round logs and it seems like the config misses alout.
So ive downloaded .2.15, everything is fine now.
(1.11.2) the generated texture for grass doesnt seem to work with resource packs, does it need a texture somewhere in the resource pack?
