Ignoring > THIS < is not the solution. Just say if you are done forever with it or if you could fix this big bug for the last time.
I'm not ignoring anything, although I understand it may often seem like it. I check this topic (and Curse and GitHub) fairly regularly, I just don't reply unless I have something useful to say. I only have useful things to say when I actually sit down to do modding, and can look at and debug issues. That usually happens in rare but intensive bursts.
Without going into the reasons too much, the short version is this: modding is one activity among many competing for my time. I don't dare to force it either, because I know myself: if it starts feeling like work, I lose interest. So I'd rather do a bit less and keep wanting to come back - even if it's frustrating for you guys to wait for me to get my ass in gear - than do more and kill the mod. I don't know if that makes any sense to you.
As for the issue itself: I'll fix it, of course. I don't want to leave an unusable final version behind. In fact It's a good thing you bugged me about it, I have completely forgotten about this. This is actually a very good case for having issues up on GitHub - they're concentrated in a location I can just read through easily, instead of forgetting stuff that falls off the last page.

I have an issue, I notice the short grass only works on 16x16 texture packs. Like if I use Vanilla, the short grass rendering on all the blocks works fine, if I use say a, 32, 64, 128, etc size texture pack, the short grass no longer renders on the grass blocks.

But ANY 16x16 texture renders fine, any solution?
Forge version?
Better Foliage version?
OptiFine version (if any)?
Are you using the generated short grass option?

Noticed a few more discrepancies with the config while I was digging around, like the biome lists for reeds / coral / algae not being saved properly. Config-related errors *should* be all fixed now (I hope), and 2.0.15 should be a proper final version for pre-1.10 Minecraft.
Got some more work done on Forestry compatibility. Decorative leaves still don't work, that's for next time.

I just came to say that the game kinda crashes when i try to save any settings... and by "kinda" i mean it locks up for a while, i get some exceptions in the console and then resumes, but any change doesnt get saved after quitting the game...
I noticed that you just said that you fixed the same issue, but for me it doesnt seem to work.. maybe an incopatibility with another mod ? I actually kinda have a suspect, mainly auto ste pup mod. Why ? Because i also had this mod in mc 1.9 and something similar happneed (settings nto saving) but without the apparent crash.
Below is the error log.
EDIT: well, it seems that my log was too long, here.
I can't help but notice the flood of

Ill have to add/remove mods to see what's causing this... aaand its from the excore mod. Ignore it. Filed a bug report to the author.
All I get from that log are these pictures, that were encrypted in the number of spaces, comma's and dots in the logs and the word "regrowableleaves", which was revealed to me by a medium to be your long lost great grandfather..
I already figured that part out, it was from excore framework/mod that i had installed (as i mentioned at the end of my message "aaand its from the excore mod. Ignore it. Filed a bug report to the author." Ill upload a new log with that error out of the wasy so as its not so cluttered, meanwhile i "fixed" the issue of settings not saving by editing the config files by hand. I'll have to test if my theory about the auto step up mod still stands from the previous game version; beccause if thats the one interfering with BF then i guess that guy has to do something about it...
As a side note, where did you get the last 3 images from ? the url points to the first one (the green "x" thing). I'm curious.
EDIT: scratch that, not even editing them by hand gets them to stick, it's like they are ignored completely, testing without the suspected mod now... nope, nothing, i have to start from scratch with just bf installed. Sigh, why can't those things ever have a simple solution...
There's four different versions of that error in your log, all referencing a different imgur image. There's 2 of each.
Oh, right Either way, i meanwhile tested with just BF and Optifine installed and STILL no settings stick... i have no idea what else to do, i'm on latest forge build (beta because certain mods whined about the stable one being too old) and using Magic Launcher if that's of any importance...
My problem still persists, any idea what may be causing it ?
EDIT: FINALLY got it to work. No idea how to be honest, but it seems the latest removal of the .cfg and letting the mod remake it did the trick. I have tried this before and it didn't work, on multiple ocasions... Either way, glad to finally get it working
i tried to modify the config file (change 'true' to 'false' for 'falling leaves' and 'shortgrass'). But, after the game loads with all the mods and things, the config resets to the default setting. Is there a reason why this is happening? Is it not possible to permanently change the config file?
it was, but by another person, i think. I too am having this problem. its like when Forge loads the mod, it resets the config. i wanted to permanently change the config beforehand because toggling them in-game causes the game to freeze for several long seconds, and sometimes just freezes to the point of 'not responding' and forcing me to close the game.
Nope. Didn't work. it still resets the config after forge loads the mods.
The config still resets everything the mods are load. BUT, i've fixed the game hanging issue when changing the settings in-game. Made Minecraft to use more RAM then the default 1GB. Changed it to 4GB and the game runs smoothly now.
This is a quick heads-up regarding my (lack of) progress.
I've recently committed the grave mistake of starting an InfiTech 2 world with some friends. Now any time I might have had for modding just went out the window (and some of my non-modding time with it). Once I've built a few Mk3 fusion reactors, we'll get back to our regularly scheduled programming
That means BF remains in maintenance mode for the time being, most likely until the holiday season. Critical 1.10 bugs will get fixed (crashes and bad glitches), everyone else has to fend for themselves.
If you're having problems with the configuration not saving:
MC 1.10.2 -> use Forge 2094 or later
MC 1.9 or 1.8 -> go back one version. Config handling was the only change between 2.0.14 and 2.0.15
MC 1.7.10 -> shouldn't happen, report as bug

I tried it with generated short grass option on and off. Short grass only generated on 16x16 textures packs, nothing higher.
I'd be willing to bet odds that OF is upscaling textures that don't meet the mipmapping standards (basically the texture must equal a square number).
So, it has to be exactly 16x16 or 32x32 or 64x64 or 128x128 (or 32x128 if it is CFM).
It could be an issue, but you would think that it would have popped up more in the last few months since the release of 2.1.0?
I'll do some playing without an RP, with a stock RP, and with my modified x32 and x64 RPs (replaced textures that aren't meeting standards).
This seems logical. Have you tested your theory yet?

Hello! There seems to be an issue with the latest version of the mod for 1.7.10

Regarding 1.7.10, I think this is a critical bug. Nonetheless, I would like your opinion about it!
