The last patch worked for me but the config resets after every game restart / it doesn't saved it at all.
Is this bug only for me?
Without a log or even a version # to test , anyone who reads you request for help is only guessing . My best guess , after testing all the latest versions with no problems that you described , is that the directory is set to read only or you are not on a Admin account on your computer. What you describe is your setting not being saved . Change the Perms on the .minecraft directory to read / write .I guess this is a OS problem
I really hope there won't be a 1.11 in September, the community moves to 1.10 and things can calm the fk down a bit... I have 6 different BF releases atm
In the next month or two, I'm only doing critical bugfixes.
BetterFoliage (1.7.10, 1.8, 1.8.8, 1.8.9, 1.9, 1.9.4, 1.10) - Leafier leaves and grassier grass CartLivery (1.6.4, 1.7.x) - Pimp your minecarts
For modders: simpledeobf - get OptiFine in your dev environment
I am happy to see this updated to 1.10, but sad to report it is once again conflicting with Optifine. See attached screenshot. (I'm using the purebdcraft texture pack, but since the trunks and leaves look okay without Optifine active, I don't think that makes a big difference)
I am happy to see this updated to 1.10, but sad to report it is once again conflicting with Optifine.
D'oh! I forgot to test with OptiFine, it was already late. I'll do a hotfix again...

Hmmm... actually, it looks fine on my install. Forge 2000 and OptiFine B7 like yours.
Can you give me a full modlist? It might be a 3-way conflict with something else.

Edit #2: it looks like certain Optifine settings seem to be the problem - after temporarily renaming optionsof to get default Optifine settings, the rounded trees looked fine, but turning up Anisitropic Filtering caused them to look bad again, though AF seems to not be the only problematic setting for BF, because reverting to my prior settings and turning it off didn't fix the issue.
Edit #3: With both AA and AF turned off, Better Foliage seems to work correctly, but that makes looking along rails or a road I've built from stone brick slabs and stairs look bad, unless I turn off mipmap levels, which looks a bit weird in a different way, leaving me somewhat conflicted as to what to do.
Cant seem to run minecraft 1.7.10 with the mod installed. i have java 8 and tried everything but with the mod it says that im playing, but then the launcher doesn't start up and it tells me im not playing. im really confused. my current mods are Xarios minimap, biomes o' plenty, decocraft, harvestcraft, connecting glass, bibliocraft, and carpenters blocks.
As a shorthand, by "proper bug report" I mean "tell me the full modlist you use (with versions), and the resourcepack too". Any of those can be the cause of issues.
@MauveCloud: yep, it's the age-old problem with AF again. I didn't realise that might be happening in your case. I haven't been able to figure out yet why that doesn't work...
@Rainbowgal090: weird, that should be working fine. If you're still having the problem, proper bug report please.
@skyli91: same deal - proper bug report please.
You can't turn the snowed leaves off at the moment, but I'll make that an option next time.
@jnglcrst: proper bug report please.
@GlowTimeHD: hmm, I didn't realise it was happening with 1.8 too. It must be a change in the Forge configuration handling, but I haven't been up to date with the changelogs lately. I'll fix it.
@Metromones: I'll shelf the idea for later. Right now, I can't even keep on top of issues, I'm not looking for new features to implement.
@Forstride: Sure thing, thanks for the list! I'm glad you like it.

sorry, but with full bug report i cant help you, it doesn't give me a crash report ( or maybe i havent noticed -.- ) and i dont think that any of my current mods would conflict, since they have nothing to do with the mod. i can list the mods/resource packs i have now if needed:

Hiya, question for you. Is there any way to add support for custom json models (actually, any non-default json), for things like logs and leaves? Currently some resource packs have elements that go invisible when you turn on round logs or extra leaves, and it seems the thing they have in common is that they're customized in some way (usually with alternate texture adding jsons).
Two examples are Pixel Perfection's birch and dark oak leaves which don't receive extra leaves when the option is turned on. Some leaves on the larger birch trees also turn invisible. Another example would be Lithos, which has logs with alternate textures. They turn invisible when round logs are turned on.
I've tested this in 1.8.9 (Pixel Perfection v3.3) and 1.10.2 (Lithos-Core 1.08 for 1.9x + 1.10x) as I've been playing mostly in those versions. Updated support for model variations in newer versions of minecraft would be amazing.

At the moment, no. It's all hardcoded. I've been planning to overhaul this part for a while now, to allow for much more precise white/blacklisting, but something always robs me of modding time. I hope I can implement it this autumn, but no promises.
Shaders not getting round logs' block ID (17, 162).
Forge + Optifine + BF Version: 1.10
Minecraft 1.10.2
I'll probably need to do a proper port to 1.10.2. I'm using a lot of class transformers (a.k.a. coremod), and those are more likely to break even between minor versions.
very wonderful, can you add roots to the trees? that would be epic!
I don't know how that would work with BF. No worldgen, remember?
I'm open to ideas though.

Hi!
For me, connected snow is using the texture of grass but without biome coloring it.
Also I have a question: How can i disable the fancy snow on the leaves?
Hi, first of all thanks for the mod.
Now, i'm having an issue with your latest version. I'm not getting any falling leaf particles. Only other mod that i'm using is Optifine.
I suggest to add moss on trees trunks. It should be awesome.

For roots, would it be possible to detect the bottom log of a tree and then render roots coming from that block?
