Description
Ender Utilities is mod packed full of miscellaneous utility type items and blocks.
As the name suggests, most of these center around "ender type" mechanics, such as teleportation, remote access, extended storage capabilities.
This mod was made/started as part of Modjam 4 modding event/competition. It is also my second mod overall, and my first mod that adds any content such as items or blocks in-game. As such, this mod for me is mainly a modding learning experience/project. I hope at least someone else will find it useful and fun to play with as well

This mod looks pretty nice and has quite a bit of potential. I will give it a go, and if you wish, i can help with textures! (Unless, of course, you plan for it to be a solo project.)
this mod looks like a really good mod. im gonna try i out now + what will the ender furnace do?
The idea for the Ender Furnace was to be quite a bit faster than a regular furnace when using fuel, but it could also run without any fuel, but really slowly. Ender pearls and eyes of ender would probably also be valid fuel sources. And the furnace could be set to output to the owner's vanilla ender chest. At least those are the original ideas for it.

Thanks, but I'm doing it solo for now, so I can learn all the things myself, including making somewhat decent textures.
But of course you could make a resource pack for it.
Maybe you don't get the arrows back from the bow cause it's a bit op and hitting a mob with the arrow should be an item instead of a bonus to the arrow. I sound like a downer sorry, it looks great!!!

I have actually considered both. I might make the arrows not drop and possibly make the recipe a bit cheaper. Although ranged mob teleportation is pretty powerful... So maybe they should be really expensive.
And I will probably add a tennis racket or similar to play proper chicken tennis. As I said, this mod is basically just me learning modding so there can and will be these random things all over the place temporarily

Status
During the Modjam event itself (96 hours), I only managed to implement about 5 things completely, a couple of more partially, and 12 things were left on the TODO list entirely.
Mostly finished items at the moment are:
- Ender Arrows
- Ender Bow
- Ender Bucket
- Ender Lasso
- Ender Pearl (re-usable)
Unfinished/non-functional items:
- Ender Bag
- Ender Furnace
Items
- Ender Arrows: The projectiles used for the Ender Bow. You get the arrows back after you shoot them, at least at the moment. (Thoughts?) Bonus: if you hit mobs with them (as in whacking the mobs with the arrows in your hand), it will randomly teleport the mob around you in a 10m radius. Fun for chicken tennis
- Ender Bag (UNFINISHED): Sneak + right click on an inventory to bind the bag to it. It does nothing else yet, since it is currently unfinished. Also note the derpy placeholder texture
- Ender Bow: Sneak + right click on a block to bind the bow to that location. After that any mobs you shoot with the bow (and the Ender Arrows!) will get teleported to that spot, cross-dimensionally. Doesn't work for players (yet?). Black list config will be added later.
- Ender Bucket: Ever get frustrated with carrying your inventory full of buckets to transport fluids or build something with fluids? Well this bucket can hold (by default) a maximum of 16 buckets of the same fluid at once! Can be emptied to the same fluid by sneak + right clicking. (a little bit incomplete still, probably only works for water and lava atm, and no mod tank interaction yet. Also doesn't cause a block update atm. (bug or feature, what do you think?))
- Ender Lasso: Sneak + right click on a block to bind the lasso to that location. After that any mobs you right click on will get teleported to that location, cross-dimensionally.
- Ender Pearl (re-usable): Frustrated of carrying around several stacks of Ender Pearls to get around? Well these ones you get back after they hit and teleport you! Also only deals 1 heart of damage at the moment. (Thoughts about this?) Stacks only up to 4.
Blocks
- Ender Furnace (UNFINISHED, doesn't do anything yet)
Crafting recipies
NOTE: These are pretty unbalanced and will be changed sometime later.
Probably most of the crafting recipies will be changed later when I get into actually balancing the mod, after I first implement more of the stuff on my TODO list.

Yes, updates and new stuff is coming out at some point, when I find the time to work on this mod again. Hopefully I get something done in the near future. At least I have some changes/additions planned to some of the existing items, those should be pretty quick to implement.
maybe you should make the reusable ender pearl take damage per use and be crafted with diamonds
I have actually heard from several places that the pearl should not be infinite, but it should take damage. I don't want it to be too expensive though, otherwise nobody might want to use it anymore. The other issue with it taking damage is that then pearls with different damage values won't stack anymore. I actually have an idea that might kind of solve this issue though. I'll try to work on it once I get my current new little mod project out of the way.
I might start doing smaller feature-test-releases and implement just small things in each, possibly in different ways and then gather some feedback from the users and then decide which version to keep in the "main" releases.
I haven't used the yet because I still play 1.6.4 modded, but it appears to have good potential. I may try out the mod she. I update, which will be whe. Mods like TE3 and big mods like that are updated.
I thi k you should make the reusable ender pearl more balanced. I like the idea you suggested by making it not infinite, I thi k it should have durability that is at 0 when you first craft it and you can craft it with ender pearls in a Crafting Table or you crafting table in your in inventory. Like you craft it with 3 ender pearls and the durability goes up to 3/__. Also making it out of diamonds like that other user suggested is also a VERY good idea, but you don't need a lot, you can just have it require one diamond. And if you want it to cost more, make an item that does nothing by itself, but is used in that (if not more) recipe(s).
I like the mod so far I can't wait for more items/blocks features! Also, could you make the Ender Bucket usable as furnace fuel when filled with lava? That would be really convenient
I've been working for about the past week straight on polishing up and improving the existing items and features. (How can the time fly past that fast, or alternatively, how can I be that slow at modding? :p) I'm hoping to finish it and release it during this weekend. There probably won't be any new items in this release (at least there aren't any atm), but the Ender Bucket and the Ender Bow have gotten new features/abilities.

Hmm, after taking a quick look, it _might_ be possible, but I'm not sure if I can get it to give the empty bucket back. I'll take a better look tomorrow. If it's not possible, I will most likely at least add it as a valid fuel source for my own furnace though

i have a thought about the ender furnace for you to think about.
it takes any ore that are can be smelted into ingot and all so take any fuel source from a ender chest and return the ingot back to the the ender chest.

An interesting idea. But what about if the player just wants to store some coal and iron ore in his ender chest? Then the furnace will just steal it and turn it into iron ingots... I may add it as an optional operation mode though.
it would be amazing if one could kinda "linkup" the endebag with a chest of choice or an ender chest so one could acess he chest via the bag from far away ^^
That was exactly the idea behind it. It is starting to look like that might not be possible or at least not that easy to do though :/ (linking to arbitrary inventories that is). But I will at least (try to) make it link to the player's vanilla Ender Chest in a future version.
