Description:
ChowTime is more than just another food mod! We have added unique mechanics and features that add a completely new level of gameplay in Minecraft.
Basic features:
-Dynamically loaded foods
-Innovative new way to get seeds for plants
-Harvesting levels for crops
-New items to make harvesting easier
Dynamic Foods:
ChowTime is, as far as we know, the first mod for Minecraft to dynamically add foods. This allows us to update old foods, change recipes and add new foods without you having to re-download the entire mod. Although some re-download of the mod will be required (not everything is dynamic), this will hopefully let us give you more content quickly and without as much hassle.
TurtlePis:
These cute little turtles are ChowTime’s special way to get seeds for our crops. To get ChowTime seeds, simply find a TurtlePi and right-click on it with vanilla wheat seeds. The TurtlePi will take your seed and give you a random ChowTime seed.
Harvesting Level:
ChowTime crops are different from vanilla crops. Unlike vanilla crops, most ChowTime crops require some level of expertise to plant and harvest crops. Experience is gained from breaking crops within your experience level.
Below is a list of the experience level required to plant/harvest different ChowTime crops:
Experience Level: 0 – Barley and Blueberries (Gain +1xp for each harvest)
Experience Level: 20 – Tomatoes, raspberries, and cranberries (+2xp for each)
Experience Level: 100 – Corn and grapes (+4xp for grapes; +5xp for corn)
Experience Level: 300 – Strawberries (+5xp)
New Items:
New items are being added to make harvesting crops and food in general more interesting. Currently, we only have one useable tool, but it is well worth it. This item is the Farmer Boots, which when worn prevent trampling farmland. (Warning: this item is still WIP and might be buggy. Have fun!)

Currently there are only beta build! This might mean some things don’t have crafting recipes. Go ahead and report this so we don’t forget about it, but it might be helpful to have NEI or cheats on so you can play with the items anyways. Hopefully (and with your help) we will have an official version out soon!

TLDR:
You are not allowed to say the code or the binaries are your own creation. You are not allowed to distribute this code or any derivative code under a different license. You are allowed to look at and use the code. You are allowed to play with the mod!
Modpacks:
You are free to use ChowTime in any mudpack you wish, however we would love to know that you are using it, especially if you are a large pack so we can prepare our servers for the extra load.
Also, due to the dynamic nature of all the food, if you plan on using multiplayer, we suggest you run ChowTime once on your computer, then disable dynamic updates by setting the option “ForceLocal=true” in ChowTime’s config and then including the ChowTimeDyn folder from the mods folder in the pack. Hopefully we can make it so the client and server will sync available foods, but right now this is not available.
