Surely if the loot is rare than you can't have too much of it?
Maybe you have a mod that stuffs chests full of seeds -- to the point that 80% of what you get are seeds.
Maybe you don't agree with Reika's idea that steel items and parts, and ingots, should be in every chest, about half of what you find in a typical chest if you've just added RoC to vanilla.
Whenever I want to generate a complete loot-table via the chatcommand, it works fine until it reaches a chest that seems to be named "mfr:villagezoolologist" instead of something like "strongholdCorridor", so everytime the mod tries to create a json-file called "mfr:villagezoolologist.json" it onviously fails... as a result, all I get in my config folder is a file named mfr (empty), and some of the other chests dont appear to generate a config. I'm missing the nether chests and some other MFR chests completely. Oh, and the dungeonChest.json is also completely empty.
I scanned the log and only found
[23:32:26] [Server thread/INFO] [STDERR/]: [java.lang.Throwable$WrappedPrintStream:println:-1]: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.Byte cannot be cast to java.util.List
as a possible error source. The full log is 5MB large, so heres an excerpt with the "error" in full:
The post is bugging out... apparently it doesn't recognise the spoiler-tags anymore and I don't want to leave a huge mess of text lying around...
EDIT2: Dont want to bump, but apparently I goofed somewhere... either my issue is so easily solved everyone is ignoroing me, or I am not posting the right things at the right place... Help pleease?^^;
The error I mentioned above (about not casting to java.util.List) isn't caused by MineFactory Reloaded, it's caused by Forestry.
Once I install Forestry (v3.3.06) the dungeonchest.json fails to generate properly, but I have no idea why is this happening. Apparently every chest gets new loot added by Forestry ends up empty.
Adding MFR to the mix only makes it (not) create a file called "mfr:zoologistchest.json" (I used another customlootchestmod to compare), so any new chests added by this Mod won't generate a config at all.
I'd really like to use your mod since it is very simple and elegant, without adding tons of other features I am not interested in...
Is this mod still being supported? I installed the 4.0 version for 1.7.10, generated the JSON files, edited the bonusChest.JSON, and moved it to the /config/TooMuchLoot/loot directory. Am I doing this right? The Adding Loot page seems to have been removed and the documentation seems sparse. What are the correct file names and directories?
Hello, yes I have TooMuchLoot-1.7.10-4.0.0.B25, which I do believe is the latest version and unfortunately I am not getting any loot tables for the nether fortress with the generate command, nor am I getting any for the chests that Thaumcraft adds. If this could be looked into it would be greatly appreciated.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
To hell with a banner here's a link to what I'm doing to support Dokucraft.
well, all i can say is, that for my 1.6.2 modpack the 1.6.2 version (1.6.4-1.2.2-b9-universal) simply does not work. It only created the gen/config-files once, but after that, not even the loot command worked anyhow, isn't enabled anymore as the chat-log says.
mmhh, quite disappointed, because this would have been great ..
Hey! Would it be possible for you to post your folder structure, because I can't for the life of me figure out where to save the edited loot tables files. I gather the edited files should be .cfg and not .json? I just need to see a working configuration set-up and can work from there, probably ^^" (This is for SMP, by the way)
Been away for the week, so I could not really answer.
