Can the category be any mod-added loot chest? (Mystcraft library chests is what I want to target here).
For item, in 164, you indicate that it needs to be the item ID (names are 17x), but your other files identify things by name instead of by ID. Can I use ID-based names in 164 for the custom loot?
On the chest quantity: I've got a mod that is adding seeds to various chests. Not that much different than vanilla adding new plant seeds to mineshaft chests so you can get the new stuff in old worlds by exploring.

What is the best method of tracking down the internal names of each item, to make sure I'm inserting the right names into a loot table? For example, I want to put a specific color of dye with 100% drop chance in each loot table, as a means of marking chests I find in the wild. However, I'm a little confused by this native entry:
Lapis Lazuli is considered a dye powder with meta tag 4 (for blue), but it also has a unique name and icon, so _blue is added to the item name, Rose Red also might have it's own name, while other color dye powders simply use a meta tag. So what are the correct item names for Rose Red, Ink Sac, and other unique dye powders? What is the correct item name for generic powders? Is there an easy way to find this out?

How do you open the in-game GUI? I have looked at keybindings (god I wish too many keys would update) and could not find it there. That was the feature I was waiting on most to use....
