Okay everyone! I have made some progress on the mod. Retaw now flows up and I added tic-tacs... do you want this to be a full release 1.5, pre-release, or beta... or should it be version 1.4.2? Comment and let me know.
Hold on to your seats because I've got an announcement!
I will finally release a video of the mod inaction on alpha 1.5 sometime this week. Once I post the video you will be able to grab the alpha version from my github repo or curseforge.
I'm still waiting for the curseforge widget to update but it can be grabbed over on github or curseforge.com. The changelog is updated on the main post and I will be updating the post with the latest additions and changes to the mod as well as a review sometime this week. So without further adieu here are the links:
How's progress going? Just thought I'd check in since it's been a month since the last activity on the thread
The latest version of the mod is looking pretty good! Although I have some feedback:
- The Superbium Sword is far too OP -- maybe you should have to mix it with a Nether Star at an anvil to get the effects? Also, I think you should be able to turn the effects off in the config.
- The Ruby Shovel has haste on it and has no animation when breaking blocks... I assume this is a bug
- The Miner egg crashes the game.
- Aradactite is way too common, especially for something that spawns fairly high up.
- The Superbium torch's model doesn't show when you place it.
- The Instant Miner's Shack has no texture.
- The Apple block looks strange... It doesn't really resemble an apple
- The pure water is a bit too fast lol.
- Superbium TNT and Hydrogen Bombs both use normal TNT's texture when they change to an entity to explode. Additionally, after they explode it takes a few seconds for their explosion to actually occur.
- Hydrogen Bombs just create a hunk of stone underneath them rather than changing blocks in their range into stone.
- I don't know if I already suggested this at any point, but because of the nature of this mod, there are going to be features for every player that they don't want, when they do want others. I think every feature of this mod should be toggleable in the config.
- Lastly, there is a bug where the game tries to load an invalid biome id for some reason. I assume it's this mod because this is the only mod I had installed when I found it. Here's my crash report:

Sorry I didn't see this until now. Can you put it all in the github repos issues for me. I'll start work on fixing it soon.
Bug fix release for minecraft 1.7.10 is out. It addresses #16 which was caused by the haste speed being set too high. AFAIK it is a bug in the minecraft forge source that is causing it so I dropped the haste amplifier down to 2 (Haste 3) so the animation will still be a little off but it is still pretty fast. It also removes the dependancies for CoFH and ChickenBones mods The main post should update in about 10 minutes with the latest version or you can grab it here:http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/220860-commumod/files/2246302
Hey, I might download the mod, but first, I have a suggestion (rather more than one)
-New mob, Wind Wolf!
-Wind Wolves drop Essence of Wind!
-Put Essence of Wind in a crafting table with 2 sticks to get Wind Staff!
-Wind Staff can easily create strong wind!
-New blocks, Dimension Creator and Dimension Portal Creator!
-Dimension Creator can easily create a dimension for you!
-Dimension Portal Creator can create your dimension a portal (If the portal is already made, there is an alternate button you press to load the portal)!
-New items, Dimension Saver and Advanced Activator!
-Dimension Saver can save your dimensions (Put this in Dimension Portal Creator for the data for the portal)!
-Advanced Activator works just like a lever, but is stronger (This is the only way to activate the special items in the dungeon I am going to add)!
-New dungeon, Balloon Factory!
-Balloon Factory spawns in plains biome!
-New boss, Balloon Creator!
-Balloon Creator spawns in Balloon Factory and can inflate the players!
-New special items, Air Pump and Balloon Launcher!
-Air Pump can inflate anything but blocks!
-Balloon Launcher can shoot assorted balloons!
-Both Air Pump and Balloon Launcher can be placed to be activated!

Can you grab the latest update and tell me if anything else is broken and what I fixed.
I don't know if these ideas have been suggested, but here it goes:
Shaded redstone lamps: These lamps would emit a different color glow based on the stained glass used to make them with. Each one would light the area in its color.
Police golems: I seen these in different animations. They would be normal golems, but dressed in a police outfit. They would be made of one iron block, a pumpken, two blue wool blocks, one black wool block.
Cloth armor: normal armor made of wool. The different color armor would have to be made out of the right color of wool.

This is absolutely amazing. Perhaps one of the best thought out ideas i've seen. I'd love to work on it if you could get a team together. I'm dual-enrolled in college and high school right now so my mod development has hit the back burner(as you can probably tell) due to classes, my job, and web-development endeavours. I'll do my best to start roughing that out because I've never dealt with anything that changes actual game mechanics.
And could also, BetterArchery would be awesome to have added/updated too!
Hello everyone! I finally have a pre-release version for MC 1.8 out for you. Curseforge will take a little bit to update the widget but if you don't want to wait you can grab it here:
Golden pumpkin pie... YES!!
Pet Potato... idk... i'll start working on it but it'll take some time...
Hold on to your seats because I've got an announcement!
I will finally release a video of the mod inaction on alpha 1.5 sometime this week. Once I post the video you will be able to grab the alpha version from my github repo or curseforge.
You can get to the link from the main post badge next to the "Known Bugs" section or from the link here:
Link Removed
I'm still waiting for the curseforge widget to update but it can be grabbed over on github or curseforge.com. The changelog is updated on the main post and I will be updating the post with the latest additions and changes to the mod as well as a review sometime this week. So without further adieu here are the links:
http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/220860-commumod

Version 1.5.0 is released!!! Grab it on the main post!

Does anyone still want me to update this? I've been working kind of slow on it and I apologize for that. I've been running into problems with the texturing/modeling update in 1.8.
Sorry I didn't see this until now. Can you put it all in the github repos issues for me. I'll start work on fixing it soon.
Can you add a Top Hat Penguin and a Penguin with a Sherlock Holmes Hat?
And Maybe You can kill them to get a Top Hat or a Sherlock Holmes Hat
Yo!
I will certainly try... I'll mark that for version 2.1.0
Awesome Ideas! I don't know how much of that I can do right now, or how long it would take, but I will certainly try and get it done.
Sorry for the late reply,
I will add these to my list of items todo.
Also,
If you all would like I think I'm going to add a link to my waffle project board so everyone can see whats on my list and can contribute if they want.

Asked the developer for permission to update and source code. Hopefully he will respond with an okay.
Hello everyone! I finally have a pre-release version for MC 1.8 out for you. Curseforge will take a little bit to update the widget but if you don't want to wait you can grab it here:
