@joeyjam:
If it can't mine the block it just skips it. A pump style block is planned, I'm not sure if it will work with the miner or just on it's own yet though.

UPDATED - v1.2.0 - The Tree, Tree, Tree Release
Added a new set of blocks, introducing the Chopper!
The chopper will plant and harvest most types of trees automatically. It will require a source of fuel and an axe to do so. The tree will be planted on the same level as the chopper is placed.
The chopper, like its miner brother, will only process one block without any upgrades and will take the same upgrades. It also comes in 4 different favours and uses the durability on the axe that is in the machine. However it won't use durability when harvesting leaves but the speed at which the leaves are harvested is solely based the level of the machine and not the tools.
Also made some large changes to the codebase (nothing that you would really notice in game).
Download available Here!. There is a chance it says 1.6.4, that is wrong.

@Redsaphir_CZ, oh.. Thanks for the bug report, i'll fix that post haste.
@BlackGeckos, Thanks! I've been removing the features once complete so get feature looks like it's gonna be RF support unless everyone who voted for trees changes to something else!
@Ayvaz, The redstone is only for the upgrades, You were able to get your miner up to an iron miner and just move it around and you should be able to get yourself some redstone to make some upgrades to get more redstone.
And yes, please, anyone who would like to contribute with textures I'd be more than happy to accept help on that!
And just with the manual bore. If you are spinning a wheel, wouldn't it just be easier to manually mine? Or did I miss the point there, apologies if I did.

Haha. I actually didn't see that one...
What I might do when I add RF support is add a manual crank generator (similar to the clockwork engine I suppose) Then you could mine by clicking!
Great Mod! I am also having issues with the tree chopper block.

I am fairly certain this has to do with the new way that Forge is dealing with the ore dictionary. Is there any way to fix this?

Update
Pushed a new update, v1.2.2 (don't ask where 1.2.1 is, it's a secret!!) which fixes the above problem with the chopper (and another problem that wasn't reported here).

The key in a jar update
This release brings RF support to all of the machine as well as a simple furnace generator so you can use the RF support without having any other mods.
To make a machine accept RF though you will need to crash yourself a RF Engine and then put that item into the fuel slot of the machine you want to power.
The generator, like most machines, comes in 4 levels and all 4 levels will produce the same amount of power from the items they burn. However the lowest wooden tier will produce that at 20RF/t while the Diamond tier will produce 160RF/t.
The Wooden generator will also start fires around it while operational and may also get consumed itself. The stone one also has a small chance of starting fires but wont burn itself.
I'll be posting a video of the new features later today!

OMG, that is so funny (and great IMO)
I can't wait until (if ever) I finish Agrarian Skies so I can throw together a 1.7.x modpack for myself (that would include this mod of course)

@Redsaphir_CZ: Sounds like the same issue I was getting with AE2 ores and chisel blocks. I'll have to have a look into that again and see if I can solve it.
@GlobbyPotato: Yeah the cobble will automatically be ejected into the chest if the miners already has a full stack. I've heard people putting a double chest on top of the miner with a hopper under it, that way they can send the cobble back into the miner? I haven't tried that myself though.
Dirt can't be used because it's the same block (stone turns to cobble when mined) so it would just constantly be mined until the shovel broke.
I like the idea of pellets, you could always just use wood that you are chopping to fuel it. The bigger you make it the more efficient it actually is as well.
Hey Vanhal! This mod looks awesome but I was wondering if there were any plans for emerald/obsidian machines and if so tools and armor? I think it would make a great addition. Have a good day!

RF = "Redstone Flux", the type of power generation in mods like Thermal Expansion, Extra utilities, and some others I can't think of right now.

I'm the same in the same boat. Need to finish Agrarian skies before 1.7 proper!

According to the forge/minecraft guys 1.8 forge will not be out for quite a long time dur to the large amount of changes to the code base. (src: https://twitter.com/SeargeDP/status/481116162680696832)
But the changes between 1.7.2 and 1.7.10 as very small however, so I only have to change one line of code to compile!

Tools and machines? I hadn't thought of it. It's a possibility though.
