Also, insulated wire doesn't seem to transmit directly to redstone lamps, as seen here:
Instead, a non-insulated wire must be used, as seen here:
I don't know if this is intentional behavior, but as a reference RedPower lets insulated wire directly transmit to redstone lamps:
Intentional, I didn't know how RedPower behaves. I'm going to leave it like it is now, because this way means insulated wire doesn't cause block updates.
insulated wire texture looks crude. But this mod is still a great idea.
You can try making a better one, if you're a good texture artist. The texture in the jar file is at mods/immibis/redlogic/textures/blocks/wire-insulated.png. (Don't worry about the way there's 256 different textures - 15 of them are copies of the first one with bits cut off and minor tweaks, and then the other 240 are recolours of those 16)
this mod is great.... probably gonna test it when its a little more stable... or done WIP. And i saw a mod that adds the RP gem tools and all the lamps.
I have an idea immibis, instead of making a similar copy of redpower's computer, why not make a programmable gate? Basically a block with different colors in each side (like buildcraft's diamond pipes). When you rightclick, a gui appears, similar to computercraft's computer gui. You then can use the colors in the sides as variables and using basic logic you can program it. Examples of what could be a script:
[north and south]
[east andnot west (output 11) || south or north (output 7)]
[up or down or east (output SOUTH)]
[not up]
[down toggle up]
[1.5sec tick down]
[south pulse north]
Maybe you could set a price for each logic gate you use. Like having to insert in a slot 1 redstone torch for every time you use a "not" gate, redstone dust and a redstone torch for an "and" gate, a lever for a toggle latch, 2 iron for a "tick", 1 iron for pulse, 1 redstone for an "or" gate, etc. The output parameter can be used as indicating what will the output strength be if the script succeeds. Maybe using || or new lines to separate scripts.
Just to help people in RP2 I was somehow pretty good with wires, the insulated wires needs at least 1 uninsulated wire near the interactive block you want to connect to, so your insulated wires are probably working fine, just need a piece of uninsulated wire near the redstone lamp and everything should work #1.
Cool, can't wait until you get out the rest of the cabling. I am gonna work on some re-texturing. It appears that what you have right now is just temporary anyway, unless you intend them to look like that
The recipe's are temporary, and I thought of some ways to improve them.
1) The red alloy can be made in the Induction Smelter from ThermalExpansion. If TE is not available, red alloy can be made by sandwiching iron in a crafting table.
2) R.A.Wire can be made by putting 3 ingots on top of each other in a Railcraft Rolling Machine. If RC is not available, do it in a normal crafting table.
3) Extra R.A.Wire can be made in GregTech's Wiremill
tl;dr Recipe for wires will be two steps: 1. Put it in a induction smelter 2. Roll it in a rolling machine or when you like RailCraft or Thermal Expansion: Do it in a crafting grid.
And the gates:
We will need a solid gate bottom to support the redstone. Maybe stone slabs? You need one of these support materials and put it in a soldering table. The soldering table looks like a crafting table, but with a extra slot for the support material. When you insert the support material, you can solder your gate. Put in the redstone dust and the other stuff like it is now (maybe change it to a 5x5 grid for more complex gates) and solder your gates!
tl;dr Put the recipes you have now in a soldering table
Hope you like it!

He's probably trying to make all of the crafting recipes vanilla or able to be made with the mod.
Been using your mods for a long time now and they've never let me down, so I am very happy to see you pick up something I use all the time from RedPower and put the Immibis touch on it \o/ Keep up the good work. This is definitely going in my list when it's polished up
BUG:
the red alloy wire part doesn't render outside of the bounding boxes when they need to connect on the edges.specifically, i am referring to these fields:
nzCorder, pzCorner, nxCorner, pxCorner.
if i force the render, the colors don't blend well, and you end up getting rendering glitches where they interlace.

I always hate having to craft a machine and power it just to make 2 or 3 things.
I don't find RedPower's alloy furnace too bad, since it runs directly on coal (which is plentiful), can be crafted in 2 steps using a single common material, takes up only one block, and can be left to run while you do other things.
Railcraft's old rolling machine was about the same.
Railcraft's new rolling machine (since it started needing power) takes 7 steps to craft (crafting table, 5 pistons, 9 sticks, 2 wood gears, 2 stone gears, stirling engine, redstone torch) and takes up 3 blocks, and takes forever to craft, and you have to babysit at least one craft so you can click the icon.
Edit: That doesn't mean the recipes will stay this simple.

Makes sense, but why bother? It's not like stone slabs are expensive, they're just annoying. (Remember crafting gates in RP2 and always having some cathodes left over?)
The 5x5 crafting grid is the only reason I might do it.

Have you considered changing the red alloy wire to use red alloy ingots like in normal redpower? I don't see the need for a new tile entity for getting it, so perhaps you could use redpower's old recipe for red alloy ingots, similar to the compass recipe, however inverting redstone with iron? I'm actually quite fine with the recipes at the moment, but I feel that making redstone wire require more redstone to make would make for a nice balancing act!
Also, I second the suggestion of including stone slabs in the recipes for gates to resemble the wafer that the gates are created on!
I just thought... Why don't simply smelt redstone powder into wire? It took 12 powder and 3 ingots to make 12 wires. Smelt 1 powder and get 1 wire. Instead of wasting iron (which is much more valuable when there's all those mods) you waste time and fuel instead.

Awesome mod, but two things:
1. When RP2 is updated (if it ever is), would there be some way to convert to redpower without losing everything?
2. since 1.6 is coming out soon, how much longer would you support 1.5?
The stuttering when placing and walking over the wires can easily be fixed by removing collision axis from the wires. Even in red power, wires don't have collision, only a bounding box.
Edge rendering can be fixed by making a part on inner top, and bottom to never render edges, and the inner side ones to render only upper, lower, and right edge. this way, no 2 neighbors will ever render an edge in the same position.
The breaking effect is still broken because not only do you have to override addBlockDestroyEffects but also addBlockBreakEffects. The new method can simply return true, because we don't need particles while we are actually breaking the part. (Though, the block cracking effect would be nice)
In 1.6 (when Eloraam will update) this mod will be outmatched by RP2.
I don't think Immibus is trying to replace the whole RP mod, just a few specific portions of it. So comparing this mod against the total RP2 package really isn't a fair or accurate comparison. And your suggestion that Immibis just try to add new features leaves us again dependent on Elo to keep RP updated. Clearly you haven't been paying attention to Elo's recent release schedules and process.
Even Chickenbones is updating his wireless redstone mod such that it no longer is totally dependent on RP. Just another example of folks who don't want to have to wait for RP to update.
I applaud Immibis and the other mod makers who have chosen to take on the challenge of rebuilding and enhancing some of the features that were contained in RP.
But opinions vary, so feel free to use whatever mods make you happy. Just don't stand on the sideline and throw water on our parade.

Original redpower content really funky code and needed full rewrite.
Getting an error when trying to run Immibis mods. Core is installed and the server runs with that alone but trying to run it with redlogic or microblocks and it gets a crash error. Is anyone else getting the same issue?
That's odd... I cancel the default block break particles and then add my own which are identical but with the right texture.

Volcanoes
Block Breakers
Tube systems
A Mostly useless power system
Laggy Marble in map Gen
Etc..
@ people complaining about BC pipes, try Logistics pipes. It was there before RP and is vastly superior.

No, just logic and logic-related things.

That's why it was disabled.

And there are mods now that are adding frames like Redstone in Motion.
