This was all I ever used RedPower for anyway.
Frames were too complex to use. Blutricity was too expensive and too useless. Microblocks are neat but eventually I wind up lagging terribly and I can't make the exact things I want. Tubes were confusing and pipes were more intercompatible anyway. Marble looked cool but was too easy to mine. Volcanoes were terribly implemented. Tungsten was only useful for GregTech or EE2. Gems looked pretty, but that was all they were good for. Enderpouches were always more functional than canvas bags, and you only needed to kill about 3 monsters and a couple of cows instead of fifty spiders. And there was that backpack mod if you just wanted to slaughter cows for extra storage. And the fancy sorting machines were just a little too fancy. Again, BC pipes.
This looks awesome, Immibis. I'm excited to get my red alloy wire back.
But please, sir. Please please PLEASE check out PowerCrystals's RedNet API. It'd be awesome if we could use your system in conjunction with his. Often times I find myself wanting just a little bit of "last mile" or "first mile" logic. Being able to natively work with RedNet would be amazing.

Fo real. If there was ever two modders that needed to join forces, it's Immibis and PowerCrystals.
I second KirinDave's appeal for RedNet API support. If RedLogic gets colored wires and bundled cable that can interface with RedNet, I'll be very, very happy.
The texture for breaking red alloy wire seems to be missing:
This was taken in Red Logic 55.0.2.
Also, in RedPower the gates glow like a redstone torch as seen here:
Red Logic gates do not glow, as seen here:
And a third item, the game's reading of the signal state of red alloy wire to apply a texture doesn't seem to save between world loading in a somewhat specific situation. For example, with the T-Latch set in this state:
After saving and exiting the world then loading the world again this occurs:
I'm not sure if the signal is still present and just the texture of the wire doesn't match it as this only seems to happen when the wire isn't connected to anything other than the originating gate. This does not occur with switches or redstone torches, and using redstone instead of red alloy wire on a gate does not duplicate this minor cosmetic issue.
ok now with the link to the beta frames remake, and now with immibis (holy cow dude) taking the bull by the horns, we are totally 100% red power - no update free.... OMG this is why i love minecraft mods and its community, regardless what mojang throws at it update wise we always pull through. honestley i dont see MC modding ending anytime soon even if mojang would ditch MC it wouldnt matter this community is the best! great work immibis!
just wanted to say i love you made this a seperate mod i like piecing instances for how i wana play not be forced to have a bunch of bloat i wont use thanks again!
What about the rumor that Eloraam has returned? She's supposed to be making some big announcement in a few weeks.
Otherwise, awesome mod. I may stick with it even if RedPower is eventually updated, considering it'll probably be just as long for Eloraam to update it again when MC updates - And Immibis is refreshingly prompt with his updates.

I couldnt stop myself.... another infraction point incoming?.... LOL
Seriously though im with you man, i love what RP2 brought to the game its just a shame she took on soo much, she should have done frames and the logic and been good. all the rest was unneeded and adds to her stress on updates. i wish her the best but honestly she cannot compete she is way to slow, the next release she does will only be a port i bet. no new things and all her stuff has been remade now, most even better. sorry Elo shouldnt have been napping on the job...
Officially, no, but I guess people got tired of waiting six months between updates so they're taking matters into their own hands.
I like the recipes, I hope you don't unnecessarily complicate them.
In Eloraams own words.

KBI Enriched Gravel Mod -- sift out nuggets and chunks and make gravel useful! (Outdated)
Tinker's Construct Recovery Addon -- get back some of your half-used tool materials! (Outdated)
You're right! It looks just like vanilla repeaters and comparators.

I can't even imagine the awesomeness that such a team-up would produce.
