If you're still looking for Operation Wight Lighting members, I found a good youtuber who may be interested in it. He's pretty good at conducting teamwork, too. He's TodaysMarriedGamer.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
One day I'll make a new texture pack. One day.
I'm an amateur texture designer, skinner, and over all graphic design artist. Learning the trade, I'm getting to be okay.
Omg, Mr Compost i dont understand you, why dont you make a release now, and when you add something new release another "snapshot"? TOO many time waiting, this must be the oldest WIP with out release ever.
no some didn't ever get released (and never will)but this is the longest that is getting released(or at least it seams)
Um, can I give a suggestion for the mod?
You see I actually gave this suggestion to another mod but they didn't accept it
Here it is anyways Might not fit the mod theme though, just thought it was a good idea.
The Malroid Scavenger
He has a chest helmet
He moves by hopping, but you usually won't be seeing him in this form (continue reading to find out).
He can blend in walls, best to look at this diagram for an explanation.
First step for him is: Ambush.
He either blends in walls/pillars near you and attacks you when you pass by, or disguises as a chest (to get you to come closer) or a passive mob (he'll walk to you, not you walk to him).
When you aren't looking he could secretly come closer to walls/pillars close to you or move the chest to a closer location next to you XD
Second step: Attack
When he attacks his disguise wears off and he uses his syringe (in his left hand) to poison you with blindness, nausea, slowness (etc.) to confuse player, then tries to kill player OR beacon on his body and shines light at him and he gets blinded (by light not darkness XD).
After you die, he uses his bottle (in his right hand) to absorb the items the player has dropped (items appear in his bottle). After that, he gets a speed and jump boost and runs away. He could leave a trail leading to a hideout/himself just so the player can get his stuff back XD
His damage isn't so powerful since he has no arms for weapons, he uses the ambush to have an advantage.
Drops: Random loot/ores/the things he stole from you if he did steal from you.
The amount of things he steals could have a limit.
Maybe he could drop a decorative wearable chest helmet Or even better: A chest helmet, beacon chestplate, furnace leggings and crafting boots XD. That'll be fun to see. It could even be the textures of the betweenland's crafting table.
I've asked you before about Operation Wight Lighting, and why haven't you done it before, but you never responded
So, I really don't have anything else except that I'm waiting patiently for this mod, and i'm worried that the stupid updates Mojang keeps releasing that f*** up the modding community will keep postponding this amazing looking mod. The fact that's it's still a WIP means the updates will keep biting the mod in the side and dragging it away from the release door and into the swamp of WIP or unreleased mods :(. I'm SICK OF THESE UPDATES! WHY WON'T MOJANG RELEASE THE DAMN PLUGIN API!!!!
P.S. Sorry for my rage. I'm just waiting for this mod ever so patiently, and the fact that these updates keep pushing the release date back just makes me really sad. Please respond to this.
Haha, like your artstyle!
But i dont think it will fit in the Betweenlands!
Try maby some more swampish creatures?!
Maby Mr. Compost will implement them!
Just try it..
I love this one alot but its just to.. Metal and to far in the future i guess...
Thanks, but as in the features aren't swampish or the looks aren't?
Well, it doesn't really fit with the Betweenlands, however I like some of the AI ideas, so I may implement them in the other boss mobs
I didnt answer it because I got that question just a couple of posts before it, and I had already answered that. Nothing is happening with it; it's a future plan.
Also, the updates arent really delaying us much.
Woot!
Yup, for me the AI idea was my main idea. I just thought of a mob later. XD
Why are you guys expecting it today anyway I never said it was gonna be today.
no, I mean did this affect the coding of Betweenlands and nothing else...
I was not expecting that you would update the mod quickly because I know that the code is really hard to make (might be easy for you guys) .
Ok, I got another idea!
I made it more swampish themed too.
The Behemoth Wight
He's might be a mini boss actually cause he has special attacks.
The Behemoth Wight is twice as tall and big as the player.
There are actually more than 1 Behemoth Wights as they were all once the most trusted followers of Revil O' Elcanrab.
Stage 1
First you're just walking in the Betweenlands when you see some mist/fog in front of you. The mist/fog is very thick so you can't see through it. Now this is the part you can't escape the mist/fog will come so fast (yet slow from your view) that your stuck in a misty area, unable to see anything but the mist and the floor.
Then vines with claws start to shoot out of the mist and attack you, you're only chance of survival is dodging them and attacking the vines.
Then when the vines are gone, wight versions of you(the player, they are basically wights with the player's face) will come out of the mist(summoned by the behemoth wight) and attack you.
After killing all of them, the mist starts to become visible(a little) and you look around for the behemoth wight and attack it. By doing that the mist disappears and the behemoth wight goes into stage 2.
Stage 2
Then 3 things start to happen at the same time continuously.
Rotten fruit start falling from the ceiling and onto the floor. If you are able to destroy them(with one hit) before the thing reaches the ground, the fruit will be destroyed however the fruit drops all over the place near you so some will escape your attacks. Those that escaped will drop on to the floor and quickly grow into a fruit minion which shoot poisonous seeds at you.
Vines with claws will also quickly shoot out from the ground near you(so you'll only get hurt by them if you're moving and unlucky). If you stay still they won't shoot out below you, just near you.
The Behemoth Wight however will start throwing dark crystals (not dark destroyers XD) at you. The dark crystals upon contact with a block will act like a small black hole and suck things near it in a 3x3x3 radius. If the dark crystal hits you, you'll get blindness.
The Behemoth Wight also will teleport to you occasionally and smash the floor (like the hulk) which will make an explosion (it destroys blocks and hurts you but not itself) and send you flying (not to far and high though).
Stage 3
When the Behemoth Wight's health is low the rotten bombs and vines with claws will stop appearing, but he will then start using his final and powerful attacks (not using his dark crystals and teleport attacks anymore).
First of his abilities is that he gets really fast and hard to attack. He will also start jumping towards you and melee punching (fast) you with his four hands.
If there is water nearby, blue particle effects start appearing out of it and track it down to you, which cause a little damage. The only way to get rid of the water particle effects is to destroy the Behemoth Wight.
If there are trees or tree pillars nearby, green particle effects will come out of the trees and track it down to the Behemoth Wight which heals it slowly. The only way to get rid of the green particle effects is by destroying the Behemoth Wight.
He lastly can also stay still at a certain spot and charge up a dark energy ball and shoot towards you. The dark energy balls cause poison and darkness.
When his health runs out he'll explode (no damage to player and blocks) and your computer screen will get very bright (cause of the explosion). After then when the brightness is gone you'll find a petrified form of the Behemoth Wight(as if Medusa looked at him) which you can break and use as a statue.
A staff will also ascend from the sky above the statue. The staff can be used to summon vines from the floor or walls to attack enemies.
It can also be used by going near trees or tree pillars while holding the staff in your hand, which will heal the player.
He could also drop more but for now I ran out of ideas XD
Tell me what you think
XD YAY! Woohoo!
I'm an amateur texture designer, skinner, and over all graphic design artist. Learning the trade, I'm getting to be okay.
Actually, I want to say that it looks amazing so far, and will be absolutely breathtaking when It is done
Its a very time consuming, slow, repetitive process...
Enjoy.
That was posted on @betweenlandsdev four hours ago. Even if it's for 1.4.7, I hope it's true!
"longest" Lol.
BTW, Forge has a lot of changes in 1.5, does this affect Betweenlands?
You see I actually gave this suggestion to another mod but they didn't accept it

Ok, fixed it
