That's not a characteristic of any other dimension mod, and not something I would like in my game. You don't have to ONLY use Aether blocks in the Aether.

You are right, but why make the texturepack without being able to test it or use it for something yet? It's not only you that has to wait, I'm sure there are other persons too that wait for the textures. Please be patient
I suppose tribes are not done yet. There are going to be more than one type of tribe? Maybe tribes on the top of the trees, some tribes in the middle of the lakes? Also, are you working in different kinds of above-ground dungeons, temples or ruins?

If they made it explode all you'd have to do is take a stack of dirt to the betweenlands and you'd instantly have a stack of free tnt. Seems a bit overpowered considering how easily it could be used against mobs.
