I got this mod after I used MCA (Minecraft Comes Alive) crystal orb. Just after I picked my gender and status, my world shut down and the crash occurred. At first I'm confused whether I should report it on MCA thread or this thread, but as the crash report mention Betweenlands a lot, I decided to post it here.
Any ideas how and why this crash occurred? Did I do something wrong or is it a bug?

It looks like there's an issue with the shaders in Betweenlands. Disable them in the config and see how it goes.
I run a server, we're currently using Direwolf20 1.10.2 as a base with a few mods added in. I thought the Betweenlands would be a great edition for my players complaining that things are too easy.
However, I'm getting a crash at launch. Here's what curse says:
The game crashed whilst there was a severe problem during mod loading that has caused the game to fail. Error:net.minecraftforge.fml.common.LoaderExceptionModCrash: Caught exception from The Betweenlands (thebetweenlands)
Would be great if you guys could give me any help with this. If I need to configure something I'm fine with doing that, however I'm a bit noobish with knowing exactly where to go for that stuff.
Hello! I've been a fan of this mod for years and I'm very happy that I'm able to play it now!
However, I've encountered a crash recently. Here's the log: http://pastebin.com/kSPJy6ec

Looks like this is caused by RenderWorldLastEvent not being called which usually doesn't happen. I guess MCA does some asm stuff to cancel the world rendering, I can fix it on our side though. Until that is fixed you can disable the shaders in the config.

Your mod pack has too many blocks. If you want to play with the Betweenlands you'll have to remove other mods that add blocks.

Just chiming in since this is an id limit issue.
They could also add NotEnoughIDs to expand that limit.
I reported a possible error, where the animation for creating the Swamp amulet was not happening.Today I tried it again. I made sure that the 4 amulet pieces were all different and it worked. Silly me.

Sorry if these seems like a noob question.. Would disabling mods on the server by chance lower our over all block count, or would those blocks still be counted? There are mods in the mod pack no one uses so it's a matter of curiosity.
Just saw this reply after having already posted, but will give this as try! Didn't know that one existed. Thanks!
I can confirm the NotEnoughIDs is required for doing fancy mod packs. I have one that uses Betweenlands and a total of 274 mods. Runs great but not without NEIDs.
Hi Has anyone tried the 1.10.2 version with ForgeSponge? When using the portal tree to come back from one dimension to another (usually from betweenlands to overworld) it results in the generation of new portal tree at a random point around the original portal tree. Not always, but we are up to five portal trees when we only created one! I will send the error to the sponge team also, but thought I would check here just in case anyone has experience of using this with sponge. We use the sponge plugin so we can have the server accessible from our Bungeecord hub.
Ok. so if nobody else has this problem or is using sponge forge, then perhaps I should ask what versions of forge does 2.0.2 work flawlessly with? Perhaps I can work this issue backwards and start off with a working pure forge setup, then introduce sponge forge mod and see how that goes. I am trying to keep my forge versions consistent - hence using 18.3.2202 (pixelmon uses that). I get new portal trees generating randomly around the original portal tree when I use the tree to warp back to overworld. Not always, but often enough that within a day of playing we have half a dozen portal trees.
(fixed the exception generation in the original post with the latest sponge forge mod build, but the problem still persists)
I recently picked up the game again and started putting mods on a 1.10.2 build. The main issue is that I've been trying to get Climate Control to stop activating in the Betweenlands, which puts me at bedrock layer with 60-some blocks of water above me. It seems that the biomes of the Overworld are copied and generate 1:1 in the Betweenlands, but almost no terrain spawns. What little does spawn is small, strange, and usually submerged.
It's definitely Climate Control, as it causes this issue even without RTG, and when CC is removed, the problem goes away. I looked through the settings for all three mods, but the only useful-looking setting I could find was the dimension exclusion list for CC, which still didn't work. The Nether and Aether (from the titular mod) still generate fine, though.
I'll bring this around the other involved mod threads, but if anyone here knows what could be causing it or how to fix it, I'd appreciate it.
*I've since replaced CC with BiomeTweaker and used the suggested tweaks and it solved the problem.
Hello, I've seen in the changelog for 2.0.2 that mob spawning was increased. In the config it says "Max. entities per loaded area" or "per world"; does this only affect the Betweenlands or other dimensions as well?
Also, what value did you increase it from? And what was the reason for increasing it in the first place? (Just curious.)
It only affects the Betweenlands. If you haven't already changed it the original value can be seen in the config (if you did, I believe it was 100, although don't quote me on it). It was pretty much just changed because mobs weren't spawning at the same rates as they used to.

I see, I'll try to disable it in the config then. Thank you so much for everyone that helped!
EDIT: I think I found another incompatibility. Whenever I hit the test dummy from the MmmMmmMmmMmm mod, I got this crash: http://pastebin.com/4WgFDj1B
OpenEye reported that it involves the MmmMmmMmmMmm mod and The Betweenlands.
Hope this helps!

Keep up the good work guys

Hy there, It's me again.
I have found a problem, that The Betweenlands causes to another mod.
There is a mod called 'Starminer'. You can walk on walls, and even on the ceiling with the mod, and it truly flips the camera too.
Whenever I have The Betweenlands mod installed next to it, the camera cannot be flipped upside down when It's supposed to be upside down.
I have tried turning of the rowboat view, and turning the shaders on, but no combination of the 2 options helped. (I'm in 1.7.10)
Is there anything that you guys can do about it?

Just came back, gave this 1.10 version a download, I hope it's good.
I like castles and the Twilight Forest.

Cheers, C
The arrows crafted with angler tooth are named "anger tooth arrows". Intentional or typo?
Praise be Ro-naza, greatest among the thaumaturges!
Day 30 - someone has finally discovered the anger issues of the Tooth Arrows...
Of course it's a typo, quite a funny one haha
Is there yet a server using this mod yet? I'm a glutton for punishment.
We are running a 1.10.2 server. Still testing it out and working out some minor issues, but it's online.Go to ob-mc.net.

Be sure to open an issue on the github when you get the chance.
