[Quote From TheCyberBrick]="As I said, we need an error or crash log in order to tell what's wrong."
Reply:= Here it is, I wouldn't say it was a crash-log though, more like a launcher log error. :/

If you guys want any incompatibilities or crash logs from The Betweenlands, I'm over the next day or so going to be doing some extensive testing on a custom pack on a private server, so hopefully that will help. (If there's no crashes or other problems, then hey, that's great too, because it means less to fix for you guys I believe.)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.
First of all, don't use the latest version of Optifine, but use this one. Various heroes before you have already bitten the dust, trying to wield a sword as mighty and corrupting as the latest Optifine version.
If that doesn't help, seek your salvation in an update for your graphical drivers (via the manufacturers' website) and Java.
If that doesn't help, your only hope will be to remove the mods that add graphical overlays, such as Minimaps, mirrors and portals and things like Better Foliage and shaders.
Actually, I've changed my mind. Start with shaders.
Regards,
Robin Birdhood
First of all , i want to thank you because you make a nice quote with expliquations .
I've tested what you say ,
1. with the last version of Optifine : http://imgur.com/e1YNbZW ... Blackscreen ?!
2.With optifine HD C 1 : http://imgur.com/orJRYRR ... That spam , but no generation problem , and good Fps !
3.Without Optifine , but with NEI and Code Chicken core : http://imgur.com/dMYO1Uo ... bad Fps , generation bugs heavy lags with Events.
{All things was tested without Fastcraft and a Minimap mod }
it's all !
Thank you,
Dark .
Three more questions:
1. Windows 10?
2. Java version? (and 32 or 64 bits?)
3. Updated your graphical drivers?
I can answer those questions! (If that's what you wanted... He he.):eatenalive:
1) Nope.
2) Java 8, 64 bits.
3) Nope, Never can anyway. Considering new computer? (Eh...)
Hope that helps.
Also, did you guys make the mod for Windows only? Because that is a cause of crashes for some computers.. Mine just wants an update, but apparently it didn't update when I was given it... Strange how it won't update no matter what I do...

Reply:= Here it is, I wouldn't say it was a crash-log though, more like a launcher log error. :/

Looks like the game is still using Java 6 but the mod requires Java 7 or higher. I don't have OSX so I don't really know how it works, but maybe this helps: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/183821
I can answer those questions!
Just thought this might be interesting, and I didn't see any posts regarding it:
This was using Optifine HD U D1 - I know a previous version is recommended, but I at least wanted to check it out. Plus, I thought this might be useful in some way. For whatever reason, Optifine doubles the character model sitting in the boat. Even more interestingly, once Optifine is removed and the double character models are gone, the rowing animations become extremely slowed and stutter badly.
The only other mods installed are: Anti ID Conflict, Biomes o' Plenty, No More Recipe Conflict, OpenEye and Tabby Chat with LiteLoader. (Was testing a few things out while exploring this mod.)
Really love the mod though, and I'm greatly looking forward to the upcoming fixes and increased compatibility!
Edit: The bug persists using Optifine HD U D3 as well. (The current/latest version.)
> I have found 6 wight fortresses and killed 3 primordial malevolence. In two of the fortresses (chunk loaded after killing the primordial malevolences in the other forts, and in which I have not killed the primordial malevolence) the armory room is "non-functional". There is no glowing orb in the center of the room and breaking the item cages did not do anything.
> In all the wight fortresses I clear them out from bottom to top. On the 4th level with the wight spawners I have encountered a grand total of one wight in the six fortresses. The spawners in the double chest loot room above the armory appear to work fine.

Suggestions, do with them what you will!
- Increase the rate of lore scrap drops? In all 6 fortresses, 10 towers, multiple tar dungeons etc. I have found two. Unless I have simply been very unlucky.
- Another use for amate paper. I have stacks and stacks of them from the pots. A decorative block or can be used for books?
- Reduce the effectiveness of bows (or at least arrows) from outside the betweenlands, similar to the swords.
I have not found any issues with mod compatibility to this point. I use MultiMC5 for mod management. List below:
Hey, I found a glitch when the Betweenlands mod is combine with the magic crusade RPG mod, there is a giant upsidedown skin of your self that walks and moves when you move
not really that big of a deal, but if you get a chance to fix it sometime that would be awesome (:
Edit:
i tested the glitch with older versions of MagicCrusade, Player API (core mod) AND the betweenlands and it was the same problem. i think it has something to do with the live image of your mc character next to your health and mana bar. but i havnt had this problem with magic crusade ever before with any mods. (i dont know if any of that helps you identify the problem)

1. Not sure about the armory. The energy ball shouldn't despawn and that hasn't happened to any of us. Have you tried it without any other mods installed?
Could also be that they broke due to an update, maybe check if it still happens with newly generated Fortresses.
2. We decreased the spawn rates and maximum spawns a lot because the Wights were much stronger when we added the Fortress. We'll probably increase the spawn rates again now that they're more balanced.
3. I assume this was another mod that caused them to spawn or that there is a biome ID conflict or an overworld biome somehow generated due to chunk corruption.
4. Yeah that's a bit too rare, we'll increase it a bit.
Amate paper was removed from the loot tables in the last update, newly generated dungeons shouldn't have it anymore.
Oh man, I've been following this mod for a couple of year now, (just made this account recently) and I'm impressed by how far it's gotten! Looks really impressive, and I just love the dark and swampy vibe I get from it, are there any more info regarding the bosses in this mod?

1. I checked with two newly spawned fortresses, which both had the energy ball present. I went >1000 blocks away and back and still present. I have no good ideas why the other two were missing, other than possibly they despawned when I updated versions. There have been no other changes in to mods since I installed The Betweenlands. And, as pics or it didn't happen, I uploaded a screencap. I also have some shots of two wight fortresses basically side-by-side, with one having a giant weedwood tree growing into it displacing the armory section; unsure if that is something you can or would want to fiddle with for the worldgen.
3. As I said, I have been unable to replicate the overworld mobs. There was no non-Betweenlands biome present as far as I was able to ascertain. Will update if more information becomes available.
Thanks for all your really hard work. This is a very impressive endeavor you have created and it is fantastic how responsive and interactive you are with the community,

If you have Thaumcraft installed, it can sometimes create an "eerie" biome around some of its nodes, which could have been what was causing them. The nodes which do this are pretty rare though, so it's not surprising if you've not seen it happen again.
1. Hmm
2. That's cool
3. Google it, because I don't know what video card/GPU you have and the site where you can download the necessary files is different for each one.
Windows 10 is widely known for its outdated "up-to-date" graphics cards drivers. Windows update will tell you you have the latest, while you are actually way behind. This causes problems with Java and Optifine only clarifies this problem.

Ha! good thought. I will have to check around carefully if it happens again, I have not been wearing goggles of revealing in The Betweenlands since, as has been noted before, late-game thaumcraft material invalidates a lot of the difficulty of this mod. I may have marked that spot on my map, will have to go check.
/ you can pry the boots of the traveller from my cold, dead toes though.

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

{All things was tested without Fastcraft and a Minimap mod }
it's all !
Thank you,
Dark .

Looks like the game is still using Java 6 but the mod requires Java 7 or higher. I don't have OSX so I don't really know how it works, but maybe this helps: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/183821
I don't think that was aimed at you
Just thought this might be interesting, and I didn't see any posts regarding it:
Possible bug report ahoy!
> There was one time I encountered a group of overworld mobs, skeletons, spiders and zombies in one of the marsh biomes. There was nothing else amiss and I have not been able to replicate this. No clue what caused it.
List below:
- bibliocraft
- Biomes o plenty
- Binnie's mods: Core, Patcher, Chickenchunks
- Damage Indicators
- Enderstorage
- Forbidden Magic
-Thaumcraft4
- Forestry
- Inventory tweaks
- Metallurgy4
- NEI
- Thaumic horizons
- The Twilight Forest
- Voxelmap
- Witchery
- LiteLoader
- Optifine 1.7.10 HD U C1

Yes, there is a wiki here
1.Yep
2.normaly 64 bits
3.I don't know how to do that !
Support Ice and Fire , This is terribly awesome !:D

That's not two different players! Definitely just me, and on a singleplayer world.
Also? If needed, I can record a video of the problem, if that'd help at all. Not sure what other information I could provide on the issue beyond that.
3. I can't update it ...

Seems to be a biome conflict. Try changing biome IDs.
Also, Forget the prime wight, the true villain is the portal trees. They multiply sometimes when you pass through them.
As you can see here they already started their conquest while a humble beast stares in horror:
They'll also multiply in the overworld too, which could possibly wreck someone's house.
I have erebus too, so hopefully its not a dimensional issue.
Wow! truly interesting mod!
Ha! good thought.
