QQ: I can't find any wiki or github threads on how the betweenlands mod API works. For example how to get a handle to IBetweeenlandsAPI reference. Does anyone know if there's an FML message or a pointer to an example mod that integrates? Pointers appreciated.
To be honest, I've never really tested the API myself. I've wanted to redo it properly for a while now but lately I haven't had the time to work on the mod. As it stands right now the API's instance needs to be retrieved from BetweenlandsApi#getInstance(), either via reflection or hard dependency. If you need help with something more specific please let me know

I must be some kind of weirdo for asking this, but can you grow reeds or the weedwood saplings in the overworld? I don't see anything saying this isn't possible. I got some swamp water and swamp dirt for the reeds, but am left wondering if they requires being in the swamp itself. (A shame if they don't because the weedwoods are amazing trees).
EDIT: Nevermind, I got them to grow, they just grow really really slow....

I have an error when I load the game. Your mod and another mod uses the same Datawatcher ID. Can you give an option to change this ID in config? Please, I want to play Minecraft with both mods.
I could use some help with distilling aspects into aspect vials.
I've ground up a single Angler Tooth (aspects: Dayuniis: 1.04, Byrginaz: 1.94.) and thrown it in the infuser with a single bucket of swamp water. Transferring that to the alembic, I get aspect vials with a yield of Dayuniis: 0.3 and Byrginaz 0.55.
Looking through the wiki, I couldn't figure out if there's an inherent loss to the process. And if so, what is it, and how am I supposed to produce higher yield aspect vials?
Is it okay if I make a small reference to this mod in an animation I may make in the future? I'll have a swamp and I want a brown slime with a skull inside to attack and some giant lily pads. It won't use any assets of the mod though.

Yes, there is a loss when distilling aspects. If you fully fill up the infuser you'll get three infusions, i.e. more aspects. You can place Aspect Vials on the ground by shift-right-clicking and then fill it up with other vials.

Definitely! I always love seeing animations. Also, feel free to use assets for your animations (just don't claim them to be yours )!

We are no longer supporting the 1.7.10 version. The datawatcher ID's we're using for our own mobs do not need an option to change their ID. If another mod tries adding their own datawatchers to our entities then it's that mod's problem.
I finally gave this mod a try last night, and my friend and I were blown away by the quality of the content we found through the portal. It honestly exceeded our expectations by a good margin. The art and world generation are beautiful. Thanks for making it! I'm going to try to spread the word a little more. This kind of content should get more attention.

i think nevermine 2:Advent of Ascension is not compatible with this mod. It says that dimension id 20 is taken up by nevermine which it is. I tried to change the dimension id of the nevermine dimension to an available id using a mod called anti conflict but then it gave me another weird error when i tried launching the game. Also for some reason thebetweenlands config is not there in my config files. PLEASE HELP i want to play this on my server and I thing that this mod would be an amazing addition along with nevermine.

You can change the Betweenlands' dimension ID in the config. The config may not generate due to the crash. You could install the Betweenlands without any other mods to generate the config files, copy them over, and then change the dimension ID.
Hey, I can't remove this mod from my modpack without causing my game to crash every time I try and open a world. I've made multiple new world's based with only this mod, and when I remove the mod I can't play on any new worlds. The full crash report isn't opening for me. Here's what I could get:

Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: thebetweenlands/client/ClientHooks
I was using version 3.3.8, and version 1.12.2-14.23.4.2705 of Forge.
Could I get any help with this? I'd like to play the game without this mod, but the game crashes without it.
Edit: Nvm, I figured it out. Just had to delete the core mod in the 1.12 folder in my mods.
Okay so the other day I downloaded this mod but it kept crashing my game so I looked at other youtubers doing a review and i didn't like the world so I went to my mods folder to delete this mod but it just wont go away i delete the file and BOOM it somehow comes back please help me!

Delete the "TheBetweenlands-3.3.10-core.jar" file (replace 3.3.10 with the version you downloaded) in your "mods" (or "mods/1.12.2" for more recent Forge versions) folder.

Anyone know an ETA on the next release? There were a bunch of commits that tackle issues I would love to test for our mod pack.

You can't and you shouldn't. That's no longer a thing in 1.12

Is Herblore back in or is the dev/devs still giving it an overhaul?
It may be back in, however if so, I don't think it's done yet
