It seems hard to predict the future of the player, does it not? But if you go back in time, could you meet someone from the future going back in time, making the past the future?
As a somewhat lag-saver, the mod could only save when the player stops, then make the "clone" use a pathfinding AI to get to the next save area. So, basically, you have two options...
1. Some lag and a perfect past.
2. Less lag, but the past won't be 100% accurate.
I think we should find a way to fix the lag, as a 100% accurate past is a very awesome idea.
Yea.... I think that lag would be a better option for now, so at least we get the mechanic working.

Lol xD no, there will be a slightly different skin for the future self. Also, when you go a timezone, you will have to travel back to the present to go to the past so memory is saved and stuff like that doesn't happen.
I haven't mastered JAVA, though. All the others, I have.
I doubt you've "mastered" 6 programming languages.... At 12. Also, you so have not mastered java yet.... You have a long way to go based on your questions on the forum.
Also, I sense EXTREME LAG in multiplayer (if you port it over to). Here are my reasons:
1). The server would be saving the world frequently, and it would save even more blocks / player locations than single player. (Hint hint, voxelbox server map is over 1G....
2). Have you heard of Multi-World? If not, Multi-World is a plugin that allows a player to go to a different world at a time. This plugin is a HUGE cause for lag. Therefore, with potentially 15 people on their own different worlds at the same time, I'd think that that would crash the server... Or if not severely lag it.

It wouldn't be different worlds per player; It would just be one universal world / Time zones that anyone can access to. The saving the world may lag, but think of it as a "backup"; the player locations and blocks are all saved when the plugin activates. There is little lag when this happens (depending on you server, of course). It would be more taxing, but not more than a few plugins (depending on your server, of course).

No. You have to click a certain block. This opens up a directory to a world. You cannot access the timezones in any other way.
I keep seeing these goddamn threads, and here is the truth about them: There is now way in **** this is ever going to happen to what they describe. The amount of programming required would be more than forge, redpower, buildcraft, ic2, thaumcraft, and equivalent exchange combined. The hard disk space required would be ridiculous (world saves going over a gig, seriously), and it would require a rewrite of most of minecraft. you may be thinking "but what about things like logblock? That stores a ton of block changes without taking up a ton of space." Here's the thing though: most servers have their logblock or big brother settings to clear every week. This can't be done in this mod, because it would make it so you can't travel back past to a week. Another thing though: the current version of the mod is hardly time travel. it's a reset button. I doubt this mod will ever make it past that stage.

... Did i ever say that time travel was actually working? And i have not seen many of these threads. I have not re-written a single line in any of the base classes. The world does not take up a gig - it only takes around 10-40 megs depending on how large your world is. AND I'm planning on zipping the worlds every x number of saves to save memory, and if they do get to intensive, you can always delete them. And the time that it saves is going to be around 30 mins... So it's one snapshot every 30 mins.

Yea.... Maybe.
Please provide some sort of proof of your "mastery" at these languages you know. Also, what mods and java stuff have you made?
I thought that it was in the pm.... The engine is still not complete to the point that it actually works yet, but I can still send a copy to you.
