This mod allows you to type in color in chat, books, anvils, command blocks (there is also currently a Dark Aqua option as I am testing persistent colors. It is a toggle that automatically adds the code for dark aqua after every space. Feedback would be appreciated. I can add the rest of the colors or just remove the feature.) and signs.Without the mod installed on the server, only books and command blocks will work.I can implement this in other versions if you'd like. Feedback and requests are welcome.Images:
I am not very good at modding as I use mostly mods that use Forge, so could you please be a little more descriptive on how to install it?
Go to where your minecraft files are located (most likely in AppData/Roaming/.minecraft, in that case, if you're running Windows, press the Windows Key + r or open run a program from the start menu and type in %AppData% in the "Open:" textbox). Go to Versions. Copy the 1.7.2 folder and paste it in the same folder. Rename the folder whatever you want the version to be called (CC&M). Open the folder and rename both the 1.7.2.jar and 1.7.2.json to (what you named the folder).jar and (what you named the folder).json. Open up the .json in a text editor (Notepad) and change the line where it says: "id": "1.7.2" to "id": "(what you named the folder)". Then change the .jar to a .zip by renaming it, open the zip and copy the files from the mod into the zip, replacing files already there. Then, if there is a "META-INF" folder, delete the entire folder. Then change the zip back into a jar. Then you should be able to go into the minecraft launcher and create a new profile with the new version you've created.
Not very good with the formatting on here or typing out detailed instructions, so if you need more help, just ask.
Can anyone confirm if this works in 1.8? Files changed in the snapshots, but it's possible those changes were reverted from 1.8. I've been away from minecraft for a while, so if someone could check, that'd be great.
