hey, im having problems with the metallurgy silver conflicting with factorization silver, they are both not ore dictionaried with each other, i even tried to download ore dictionary converter mod just to convert it, but whenever i place the metallurgy silver, nothing appears, but when i put the factorization silver, it only allows me to convert it to factorization silver

I wanted to ask if Metallurgy 4 (1.7.2) is compatible with Tinker's Construct (1.7.2)? In other words, can I use the TC smeltery to liquify M4 ores and metals? If so, does each M4 material have it's own properties?

The common metals (ex. Coper, Tin, etc..) are compatible at moment, the rest would require ExtraTiC to be updated first

ok, i went and redownloaded the mods and it helped with the conversion of the ores, but whenever i smelt any of them, they both give me silver factorization ingot and not the m4 one, i cant even convert the factorization oneto m4 one, so yeah, it helped a little but not that big

Where can I find the recipes? pls it's important!!!
Use NEI in recipe mode. CraftGuide will work too but it won't show stuff that come out of the Metallurgy machines which is just dusts for the crusher and alloys for the alloyer.

The smelting needs checking, although you can still convert them without issues.

So I'm pretty much brand new to mods and modpacks but I added Metallurgy and a few other ore gen mods a few days ago and the problem I'm having is that I cannot find ANY of the new ores. At all. I tried it in creative mode and found nothing. I've burrowed into numerous caves and ravines and mines and nothing. I've tried starting up MC with just Metallurgy to no avail. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
Hello, I just wanted to say i thoroughly enjoy playing with this mod but I had to give it up, I kept repetitively raging due to lack of inventory space.
I wish there was a mod out there that instead of using inventory slots, used inventory space For example the the current inventory has 2304 slots ( 4 * 9 * 36). You could navigate your inventory through left and right arrows on the right and left sides of the inventory respectively.
P.S. If you caught my little joke your really good at teh grammars.

That is odd, which version of metallurgy, and forge are you using?
I have metallurgy 4.0.2.8 I believe. I first tried it using Forge 1.7.10 (10.13.0.1159, not sure which number you need SORRY ><) but switched back to 1.7.2 (10.12.2.1147) just to see if that was the problem.

They generate just fine on both of those versions

you can use the Ore finder (In creative mod, under Metallurgy Core tab) to check for ore generation
Right click on a block and it will check the ores in that chunk, you can increase the check radius by Shift-right click
I just tried that right now. Here's the screenshot I'm getting.
Nothing other than vanilla ores seems to be spawning. I mean, in 5 whole chunks, surely SOMETHING from ONE of the ore gen mods I have would be spawning.
I understand this may not be an error with your mod in particular as I seem to be experiencing the same problems with other mods. This did seem to be the most recent ore spawning mod I installed, however, so this seemed the best place to start. Can you think of something I might be doing wrong or may need to fix to get this to work?
UPDATE:
When I run MC WITHOUT metallurgy, the other ore gen mods begin to work.
TENTATIVE UPDATE:
When I run it with 4.0.2.5 it seems to work. Tried it out in creative and found some new ores, trying it in my survival world now.

Well that is odd, 4.0.2.8 have a fix to generate ores, as they were spawning lower than expected in 4.0.2.5.
Is it possible to list the mods you have?
Yeah, they must be spawning at low rates because I just went through a HUGE tunnel system with 4.0.2.5 and found tons of gold, iron, diamond, lapis, redstone, and coal, but no other ores.

It's working fine over here,
Tested with following:
- Metallurgy 4.0.2.8
- Factorization 0.8.80
- Ore Dictionary converter 1.5.1

The standard ores should be compatible (ex. Copper, Tin, Steel)
The rest will be compatible when ExtraTiC gets released for 1.7
