Okay so now I noticed something, this mod adds steel and Railcraft also adds in own steel. However whenever I use like Steel Pickaxe or Axe or even the steel shears, to break a block my client crashes. It says:
Connection Lost
A fatal error has occurred, this connection is terminated.
I understand this could be a complex problem since they both have steel; any suggestions or help if anyone has seen this?

What steel tools do you use, metallurgy one or railcraft?
The solution can be the installing tinkers construct, and TC-Met4 crossmod, this could help you to craft non-crashable tinkers construct modular steel tools. By the way, last versions of TC have upped steel, it is now very cool material.
If that is not helps, i think your choice could be for railcraft. I am, myself tinkering around with metallurgy a little, but the mod itself pretty straightforward, primitive and plain. It is good only as addon to the tinkers construct for now - and that is after clearing thoroughly the config, to get rid of all the unnecessary metals and minerals.
What initially drew me in to M3 was the machine tiers. Unlike the huge amounts of end-game tech mods that speak of Machine Frames, modules and such, M3 began close to the beginning, introducing you to the basic traits early in with the Stone Crusher.
This is why I don't support the removal of the tiers.
I also agree with the common opinion that there are too many useless ores in the game. While things like Prometheum and Carmot were basically useless in M3, they could be made into a machine of their own, the Abstractor. But in M4, they are entirely useless, serving no real purpose other than chest space.
I also feel that the new recipes and looks for the machines feel uninspired, unoriginal. They are nearly identical to things from IC2 for instance.
Overall, I found this streamlined whimper disappointing.
I understand that the author of Extra TiC would naturally want to optimize M4 for Tinker's Construct, and I'm fine with that.
Perhaps the machines could further raise efficiency of smelting, that way they have more of a purpose alongside TiC.

You know this is still in the works, right? Things can change drastically between updates. Don't be upset with a mod just because its not what you want it to be. Its the mod author's work, not your's. If you want something that completely and utterly appeals to you, make your own mod. Otherwise, be patient. A work in progress is a work in progress.

You know that for things to change, the devs have to know that there's a desire for them to be changed, right? As the saying goes, "The Squeaky Wheel gets the Grease". If no one makes posts saying things that they feel need improvement, the devs aren't going to just magically know that there are things people have problems with. Someone has to say something first.

Yes, I understand that. Considering I'm in the middle of a job hunt, I know that better than probably even you do. However, I dislike people who complain in a fairly rude fashion. They could just suggest that they preferred it with the tiers rather than saying that this new version is a disappointment. That's the problem I had with his complaint. Squeaky wheel or not, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, and a dev who busts his butt trying to make a good mod for us deserves at least that much.

It actually looks like railcraft steel tools cause that crash, when used, but only when used with metallurgy.

Why do you even using them? ))) Get rid of it, i say, burn it with fire) Or you want to say to me, you are still not wielding a celengil pick?)
The trick is, celengil is extremely enchantable. Using enchanting plus table it requires nearly 11 levels to put both protection 4 and unbreaking 3 on it. Thanx to that enchantability, anything of celengil, in any condition, requires 1 level to fully repair with enchanting plus table)))) It's a cheating, i say)
By the way, let's hypothetically ask: if am i going to get rid of metallurgy, and put on some other mods, that adds metal ores and mineral stuff - some rumour is, there is a mod, that makes those changes: replaces ores of removed mod with stone and does the orespawn of newly installed mod. Is it so?

I believe I there is a mod that can retrogen other mods, but I don't know of one that will automatically do stonefill.
I think I will wait until the team actually incorporates the upgrade system and use it before deciding if I like or dislike what they replace the tiered system with.
Im no bot and i got a warning for that i found out that it was 3D blocks mod and i don't care that no one likes my i gave up on youtube anyways and i like watching videos more than making them. Don't know why they disappeared tho i removed 3D blocks and everything is fine now.

I think you may have the wrong forum thread, buddy. I don't remember seeing anything from you until just now.
check my posts before you judge i have 6 now just hover over my name and click view posts (if your a noob) and below my name it says 6 posts also check page 20 i was gone away thats why I'm late
No offence intended, but your English is a little lacking. It makes it hard to understand you. Including error logs and links to the mods you're having conflicts with will help people to know what you're talking about, and offer possible solutions. The more clear you can be, the more likely you are to get a helpful response.

I wasn't judging. I was just saying that I hadn't seen anything from you, so you'll have to excuse me for being a "noob". I was honestly quite confused because for me, your post came out of nowhere.
I'm having a problem using a Hopper under a Forge. The Hopper does not pull the smelted items out of the Forge, which I believe is a bug since the Hopper pulls items from a Crusher with no problems.
Thanks to both of you really helpful!

Already checked this out. It could ungenerate the mod, but it is option for 1.7.10 So sad)
