Yeah, they must be spawning at low rates because I just went through a HUGE tunnel system with 4.0.2.5 and found tons of gold, iron, diamond, lapis, redstone, and coal, but no other ores.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you explaining that to me. There is only one area that I have really developed. I can take or leave the rest of them. I'll try that out. I've got plenty of backups made in case I screw it up.

Underground biomes constructs mod has just added support for vanilla ores overlaying the mod added stone of underground biomes, resulting in ores that dont stand out against mod added stone by virtue of their "vanilla stone background".
According to the author of UBC
"UB Constructs only provides "UBifying" for vanilla ores; however, there is a simple interface for any mod to request that an ore be "UD'd". Three blocks are use for each ore; UB creates, names, and textures them when it get the request. Due to timing issues, this might often have to be done with additional bridge mods."
I have a suggestion/request, but first let me say that I love this mod and thanks for all the effort.
I think it would be nice to give the config file control over the amount of dust obtained by using the crusher and alloyer. I just personally think that 2 and 4 is too many and it upsets the balance. Using these with Damascus Steel, for example, will give you 32 for a mere 1 copper, 1 tin, and 4 iron. This is enough for 1.33 sets of fairly nice armor for only 6 easy to obtain ores.
If given these options, I would probably set crushing to give 1 dust per ore and have alloy crafting only give 1 alloy dust while the alloyer would give 2. This would bring the previous example down to a 1:1 ratio. 1 copper, 1 tin, and 2 iron would make 4 DS.
Anyway, this is just my own little peeve about this mod, aside from that I love it and look forward to the previous feature being added in.
dont know if it is just me but i have the mod running smoothly except for some reason i do not have ore dust recipes. meaning i am unable to create neither crusher nor dust.
ive placed the 4 sticks in top, left, right, and bottom slots with cobble in corners and a furnace in middle and it leaves a blank.
mod list i have is natura, treecap, metallurgy 4 + core, multimine, inventory tweaks, dynamic lights, backpacks, and optifine. also running this on server besides the client side only mods.

Actually is there also a way to upgrade these crushers? ive so far tried the base crusher in mid with surrounding bronze, copper and iron ingots.
plus looking at im guessing the old wiki for metallurgy it stays that deep iron and most other ores can be crafted into tools but i seem to only be able to craft armor. any reason for this?
thank you. ive been looking around for hours before trying to post and i figured i would have overlooked the answer somewhere
thank you so much for the help.
No problem. Not sure if the alloyer changed but the recipe for it follows the shape of the crusher just with angmellen(or something like that, the alloy of gold and iron) in place of the copper and damascus steel in place of the iron.
I recommend a recipe mod like CraftGuide or Not Enough Items.

I believe there are no more upgrades.
As for not being able to make tools...I was able to make them last time I tried but I haven't tried using deep iron specifically.
Is the plan for the M4 config to have the same granularity as the previous versions of metallurgy 3 ? Specifically I liked the control options over vanilla ores but also the relatively late additions of control over the properties of armours and tools (I was hoping to see control over vanilla armours and tools for better balancing with mod added items).
Apologies if this has been answered, im still fighting the new forums, me no likey.
Cheers
It's planned to be re-added into Metallurgy 4, not sure if the control of vanilla armours and tools stats is possible.
I am getting an error about the Silver Dust, says it's been removed, gonna reinstall and see if that fixes it, I had originally thought it was AOBD but he told me it was an issue with the mod that has it, and AOBD only supports it, not has it so I looked online and it shows that this is the mod with it, if i'm wrong then tell me, but if i'm right, then did this one get overlooked in an update?

Now I'm jumping on this thread, anyways to receive a email notification when there's an update to the mod and not at every single person posting on the topic ???
Thanks, I will test with those on the weekend
I have no idea why it's not working for you, but you can check your logs for errors and see if there are any related to Metallurgy. :S
Edit:
if you don't have any errors, can you provide your forge version so I can test over here too

Just didn't feel like typing it out.
