FAQ:
Textures for machines look too bright. (Not a question):
Currently we are going with new design as the team lost Shadow.
Will you re-add more tier of crushers, alloyers, etc.?
The machine tiers are gone, so there will be only one machine per functionally. for example the current crusher will be the same, so no need to remove it and upgrade with more metals.
There is a wiki for mod?
We will provide a wiki before actually releasing the mod.
Will abstractors, expanded chest, mint, lanterns, taetarite enchanter, fertilizer, (Put your Metallurgy 3 feature here) will reappear?
We have plans for everything that is in Metallurgy 3, you guys have to wait and see, everything will be revealed in time
What is alloyer for? I can mix dust like in Metallurgy 3...
The alloyer yields more quantity and it is required to combine higher metals together like Tartarite.
Will there be 1.6.4 version of Metallurgy 4
Metallurgy 4 will NOT be backported to 1.6.4, and we recommend that you use Metallurgy 3 for 1.6.4
What is the modpack policy for Metallurgy? You can add Metallurgy to your pack, just add credit to the team, and a link back to this page or the curse page
Its finally ready for 1.7.2!!! great mods guys congrats on the release! Do you guys have a changelog for this mod? Does it still work with Twilight Forest mod? I wanna know whats new with this version! Grats again and thanks for making such a great mod!

So sorry to bother you but I think I might have found a couple of bugs:
~ No smelting Recipe for iron dust (Checked with Crafting guide mod & Tried to smelt)
~ You can punch ANY Machine (Alloyer,Forge,Crusher & Metal frame) and it gets destroyed in one hit (Both Survival & Duh Creative)
~ Not really a bug more a opinion but whats the alloyer for? you can just craft dust together.
~ Forge couldn't cook but accepted Lava buckets correctly.
~ Tried it with twilight mod, the ores did spawn but not like in 1.6.4 which included some spawns in the "Mounds". ( Not tested thoroughly)
Didn't want to post early and double checked my forge version. I'm using the "Forge 1.7.2 (Build 1060)".
Again I apologize for the hassle, I just really love your mod.

I can see how iron dust is an issue.
The alloyer yields more quantity and will eventually be required to combine higher metals together.
What did you try to smelt in the forge? Also, we don't plan on continuing support for the older version.

~Tried using the forge to smelt steel dust. It consumed some of the lava but there was no indication of progress i waited for about a minute and nothing got smelted.
~For the Alloyer thanks for answering my question and thinking about it, that makes a lot of sense gameplay wise.
~I know this is kinda nit-picky but why do the new machines look so fruity? Aesthetically I might even say the Machines in M3 looked way better.
Again thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, more power to you guys!

We will look into the forge issues. The new machines are not aesthetically different since ShadowClaimer has left and didn't do any models/textures for them. They will mostly get something better before actual release.
Fantastic news! Been waiting on this as the last piece to my 1.7.2 puzzle!! Thanks guys for all the hard work!!
I have a couple questions -
1.) Will the all powerfull spreadsheet from Metallurgy 2/3 still be the same? I mean can we expect a stats/info sheet for all the metals with their abilities ect...?
2.) Did I understand you correctly in a previous post about changing how the Machines look? I have to agree with that poster about how they look now is kinda "loud". They would prolly look better with their respective Metals colors.
3.) Since you have the "Core" mod, is is safe to assume you are planning add-on mods?
Forge could not smelt tartarite dust into an ingot, despite having had enough lava. On the other hand, am happy to report that OreDictionary working correctly, all coppers correctly crush into copper dust.
I'd like to second everyone that's complaining about the new look of all the machines, but at the same time point out that it is very possible to make mod resource packs.
Finally, could we have a list of all the "planned but unimplemented" features? Just so we don't have to continuously guess/wonder/ask about orbs, metal chests, etc. Thanks, and much love to ye all.

Hi Nozgo
1- The stats are same of Metallurgy 3, the spreadsheet is outdated even for Metallugy 3, I will see what I can do about that when I have the time.
2- The Machines have the same colour of the ingots, which are the base colours for the metals.
3- The "core" mod is going to be used for Team Metallurgy's Mods for 1.7.2

HI Contramundi
- I can confirm the Forge bug, also I'm working on a fix at the moment, so currently use the furnace until a new beta is out :S
- It's odd that you guys in this post are complaining about the new style of the machines, while everyone I showed screenshots to like them
- The plan will be a secret at the moment.
Metallurgy is a mod to expand Minecraft's tech tree with adding over 50 new materials, plus machines, armoury and tools.

As this is the forth installment maintained by Team Metallurgy, you can check the older post for Metallurgy 3 and older version

Farewell everyone o/
If Minecraft were real, you'd be a zombie right now.
Since this is completely rewritten from the ground up, it would be hard to get a complete changelog. You can however, check out this https://github.com/TeamMetallurgy/Metallurgy4/commits/master
Since when have you been Section mod here?
~ No smelting Recipe for iron dust (Checked with Crafting guide mod & Tried to smelt)
~ You can punch ANY Machine (Alloyer,Forge,Crusher & Metal frame) and it gets destroyed in one hit (Both Survival & Duh Creative)

I'm just a Minecraft player that likes to give my opinion. Nothing special to see here.
I can see how iron dust is an issue.
The alloyer yields more quantity and will eventually be required to combine higher metals together.
What did you try to smelt in the forge? Also, we don't plan on continuing support for the older version.
It runs completely off the Ore Dictionary, so it should be compatible right out of the box.
Great to see this mod continue! Great job guys!
I'm working on an open-source mod called Craft++. Check it out!
