I, for one, would rather keep it at RF Jetpacks and Tools.
Also the RF bat-packs are a bit silly, seeing as how capacitors do the same thing.
This. However I wouldnt mind a whole armor set. (Just one tier, though. Maybe even redstone arsenal ish)
Already replaced Mekanism's jetpack for this one.
How about its boots~

On the RF tools/armor: I have been wanting to do that from the start, but I personally found jetpacks to be the highest priority. It will probably take a while though; life is kind of busy right now, and I am also working on some other private projects.
Oh, that and I am horrible at balancing or coming up with tech trees. If there are any ideas, I'd love to hear them, to help me with that

You're doing just fine. Only one extra recipe to make the jetpack (The capacitor thing,) and they work so well.
Plus upgrading jetpacks from older jetpacks is a plus.
And like I said, just one tier of armor akin to Redstone Arsenal.
I had a few suggestions, but this is all my opinion. It might be considered OP to some people, but I think it is more suitable for my needs. http://imgur.com/a/u8j9z
IC2 is labeled 'experimental' for a reason. The recipes and features are being tweaked a lot.I've never liked thermal expansion very much myself, too cheap and the RF system is too simple.
Why are you commenting here? It doesn't help improve the mod, or fix any bugs, or give a suggestion to make it better. Plus the whole reason this mod was made was because the creator of the mod felt that IC2 was eternally unstable and in development. If you do not respect what he says, or disagree, you could either give a suggestion or not post at all. If you think it is not complex enough, did you ever take the name of the mod into consideration? Simply Jetpacks. Thermal Expansion is for the people that want to have fun without everything being so expensive, grindy, or near impossible. From now on, don't even respond with an argument, unless your statement will help the mod.
Sadly, the code that determines what to charge from capacitors is on Thermal Expansion's side, so I can't make that happen, sorry.
Could you possibly add a new "advanced" flux capacitor, maybe a combination of all current capacitors, and it would charge jetpacks? (I have no modding experience, I don't know how difficult it would be.

Hmm, I didn't think of that yet. I'll put it on the to do list, but no promises for anything soon...
I removed the 'why not use ic2' part from the main post, since that apparently rustled certain people's jimmies..
You, my good sir, have made a very simple, yet awsome mod! The "almost' creative flight is simply the best.
My 2 cents here:
- I would not really like this to go the IC2 way (solar panels, chainsaw, etc). Develop your own unique way and everyone will love it
- please incorporate some armor protection in the jetpack. Let's say: Leadstone jp = leather armor protection, Hardened jp = iron armor protection, etc...
I will try to be unique as much as possible; I don't feel ok with just blatantly copying ideas. It's difficult though.
As for armor protection, once I figure out how to give the jetpacks custom armor values based on stored energy, I will do it.

I love that idea! It's just like the TE machines, the more energy it has the faster it operates. The more energy in the jetpack, the more armor it provides. (It would also use more energy for higher armor levels). This is brilliant.
It would be nice if you could add a mining laser like the one from IC2. That is really the only thing I miss from IC2 now.
This mod looks awesome, I am going to add it to my mod pack, thank you for making it!
I would love to see armor come from the pack! and armored jet packs! I think tho because of red stone arsenal, tools would be redundant, but if you go a different way with them then maybe not xD
It would be super awesome if you could combine the jet pack with any chest plate and have it take on the appearance and max protection value of that chest plate! That way you could still wear your favorite, most coveted armor and still jet around.

My avatar is Reaper eating salad.
Get over it.

Also, please add a tooltip to the Potato Jetpack that says "100% of customers agree it's legit!"
- Jetpack tuning is now fully customizable
This means jetpack speeds, power usage and power storage. Be careful with these values, it gets unbalanced really quickly
I'm going to set the speed to OVER 9000!!!!

In regards to the capacitor being entirely on the TE side, is it possible to request an API method for it?
And it'd be extra awesome if we had an option to actually apply the jet pack texture over top the armor texture.
Get it?
Because thats the mods title.
You know what, I take back my suggestions.
Make that a completely separate mod.
