Would it be possible for to add a generic ring, amulet and belt to your Baubles mod in your next update(s)?
I know you already have the Miner's Ring and associated recipe as part of the mod as a Bauble example.
I am not a developer but I would like to add Bauble items to my games.
The Loot++ mod allows me to take items from other installed mods (ring, amulet, belt in this case) and add potion/enchantment effects to them and include them in chest loot.
I just need a generic item included in the mod to work with.
I know you are a busy guy but if you could see your way clear to do this I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah, there are quite a few mods that add similar items but unfortunately they generally also add a whole pile of other things that I would rather not clutter up my game/worlds with. I am currently using Baublicious (sp?) for the generic versions but even that small mod adds other things to the game that just clutter it up.
I thought one generic version of each item would just polish up an already great little mod. Azanor has already created a mundane ring, mundane belt and mundane amulet that is in Thaumcraft so I thought it would not be too difficult to add those or similar items to Baubles, While Thaumcraft is a fantastic mod that I have played extensively, we are currently not using it (or any other 'magic' mod for that matter).

some 1.6 mods that use baubles don't work without it, but there is no 1.6 port of baubles. Is this planned, or just not happening? i would LOVE for those features in my 1.6 modpack for me and my friends.

It is not being backported, and there aren't any mods in 1.6 that use Baubles... where did you get that information from?

First of all: People are still on 1.6.4?!
Second: There never was a 1.6.4 version of baubles. So how can mods be using an api that doesn't exist?

Why is the Baubles mod updated if none of the add-on mods are updated along with it?? It does NO good at all! why even release it, I would have at least made it and saved it somewhere for later.

ohhh....i'm using botania and i thought there were missing features. and yeah, 1.7 always doesnt load for me. it just says:
error while running launchMinecraft(): java.error.lang.NullPointerException
so yeah.....i'm still on 1.6.4.....

detail: mods that need baubles (mod), need to have your own mundane baubles (mundane ring, amulet and belt) to craft
if the baubles (mod) had the own mundane baubles (mundane ring, amulet and belt), the others mods would not need to have the own baubles

For some reason my items in baubles slots turned in thaumcraft foci and swords. and game crashed after im trying to get it off.
There's an entire section that mentions modpacks...
Total noob question: I have downloaded the jar and everything works fine, but do I need to download the api? Thank you for any feedback/help.
Nope the API is for modders wanting to add compatibility for baubles. The jar should work fine.

How much ram did you allocate to the game?
I have to do -Xmx1024 or -Xmx2048 in the JVM Arguments heres the whole thing...
