I agree. I have always wanted more villages, and since they are not in vanilla, I decided to make a mod for that. Hopefully someday there will be more villages in vanilla, but until then, mods will have to do.
Sorry for the first bug question of the mod, but I seem to be having problems with maps. Whenever I try to generate a new map the internal server crashes. Is anybody else having this problem? It could be mo'creatures otherwise, I'm running that and it's a bit on the buggy side.
Can you send a crash report please so I can see if it is this mod? Also, are you using 1.1.0 or 1.2.0 and minecraft 1.6.4 or minecraft 1.7.2? And what forge version are you using?

Sure thing. I had a look at it myself but I couldn't decipher anything from it.

I don't know if this is meant to be intentional, but the mod also seems to affect Nether fortress generation. Either that or I've just been lucky. Sweet!
I've been flying around to see how well this works. Seems fine except for one thing: no blacksmith shops. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just having bad luck?
It is probably just bad luck. This mod keeps the vanilla structure of villages, so there should be no reason for it to affect how commonly blacksmiths spawn.
Also, I checked if this mod is compatible with Minecraft Comes Alive, and it is!
It will run with most every mod, but it does not add villages to new biomes added by new mods. (unless the mod makes villages spawn in those biomes)
Right now I am working hard on nether villages mostly - I have gotten them to generate, but only on the roof. I am currently working on fixing that, but I don't know how long it might take.
I don't believe villagers recognise doors in the nether because there are always non-transparent blocks above them, so villagers are likely to wander off. Interesting idea though.
Also, in time you should be able to get villages to spawn in additional biomes, in the same way Mo' Creatures have (Not a massive priority if you've got things to do). If you get a chance to, talk to Dr. Zhark to find out how
Normal villages would not recognize the blocks above, but I am re-writing the whole village system to allow for villages in the nether. What do you mean, get villages to spawn in additional biomes? They already do.
Edit: Nevermind. I realized you meant other biomes from mods :P. Should be possible, all I need to use it the Biome dictionary (as long as other mods have it registered, I can auto-find climates, biomes, etc.). It wouldn't be as customizable, but it would work. I am really busy with school work currently, so I won't be able to work on the mod much, if at all, this week. Hopefully next week will free up.
Hello i have simple question, i play on Minecraft 1.6.4 with mods and forge loader. I must start new game to generate additional village?
Ok sorry i miss this information in first post, sorry. But i have another question, game about i talk before is online game via lan. My friend and i have lot of stuff and we dont wanna lose this. Theres any chance to keep are progress and spawn new village? Maybe we can re-create world with our structures and items? Maybe i can use seed for this? But how i can get seed from exicting world?
You should first back up your world. Then, you can load it with this mod. However, you will have to explore to find the new villages; they will only generate in parts of the world that have not been discovered. Unfortunately, using the seed will not recreate your structures - the seed only determines the landscape. To find the seed, you simply type /seed into the chat bar while playing on that world.
Yes, you can increase it over 32 for more rarity. As for buildings being made of coal, that comes from the world generator generating ores in stone, which some buildings are made of.
Like I said, I've been very busy, so I haven't been able to work on them. End villages aren't too hard, but yes, there are villages away from the island. Nether villages are the hardest, but I'm working on that, too.
Very unique! Now it gives you a chance to find a village easily in a random-generated world! By that, I mean you can go in a superflat world and find one easily, but it gives you the chance, not only to find villages easily in random-generated world, but in EVERY BIOME! I just love this mod very much! 1000/10 villagers! :D
BTW, what's your policy on modpacks?
EDIT: nevermid, I saw your other answer, thanks!

I don't know if this is meant to be intentional, but the mod also seems to affect Nether fortress generation. Either that or I've just been lucky. Sweet!
Also, I checked if this mod is compatible with Minecraft Comes Alive, and it is!
Right now I am working hard on nether villages mostly - I have gotten them to generate, but only on the roof. I am currently working on fixing that, but I don't know how long it might take.
Very unique! Now it gives you a chance to find a village easily in a random-generated world! By that, I mean you can go in a superflat world and find one easily, but it gives you the chance, not only to find villages easily in random-generated world, but in EVERY BIOME! I just love this mod very much! 1000/10 villagers! :D
