Besides, her comment was directed at me, not anyone else. It was just a request for me to take another step before concluding where the error lay. Turns out it was on the part of hunger overhaul. I've posted over there and we'll see what happens. So, not haughty at all. Since I wasn't offended I don't know why anyone else would be. Subject now dropped. Nothing to see here. Move along, move along.

Ok.. so, fruit trees.. Wild ones spawn fruit forever, continuously, multiple fruits at once... Player produced ones, spawn random fruit, randomly at a time, and only for a small time and then go dry. Is that true? Or do I have some messed up trees? Or has this been explained somewhere, and I'm just too lazy to look over 48+ pages to find it.... I was doing this with apple trees.
Someone recently told me that you may not be visiting your old thread, so I'm re posting my recent post from there to here.
Hey there.
So I've been playing with Growthcraft on a server. One thing about it that really made me happy - apples fall from the trees when they are ripe. Now why does this make me happy? It's because my gathering golem from Thaumcraft can grab them and store them away. It would be nice if there was a way you could make the fruit trees drop their fruits when ripe. I ask this only because I tend to forget to harvest them amongst all the other mods I'm playing with on a server. So if you can add that, it's be nice. If not, then that's fine. Not gonna make stop playing with this mod or anything.
Also, I tested and can confirm that golems will harvest your fruit trees.... but they actually break the fruit as a whole so that it can't grow back. They also don't seem to instantly recognize the mature fruit as harvestable. Might just be golems being sluggish and derpy (it amuses me from time to time heh).
And one more thing - and feel free to say no, but there are four crops that have to be turned into seeds before they can be planted again. Might be more, I haven't tested the bamboo shoot, but anyway, the four I'm talking about are Seaweed, Rice, Cranberry and White Mushroom. I remember when all the crops had to be planed by seed. Nothing wrong with that and it makes sense. The thing is that golems can't replant if the harvested crops have to be turned into seeds first. I've been manually harvesting and planting all crops up to this point, but yesterday, I felt that some form of automation needs to happen. So if you can make it so that all crops can be replanted whether by seed or harvested crop, that'd be awesome. Or maybe how vanilla Minecraft handles wheat, making it drop wheat and seeds to replant when harvested.
Again, these are just suggestions I've had for a while now. Take them or leave them, I'll still be using this mod cause FOOOOOOOOOOOD VARIETY!!! \o/
Hi, possibly stupid question here. My friends and I play a Forge modded 1.7.2 server with Harvestcraft. Will the 1.7.10c update work with 1.7.2 or do I just stick with the 1.7.2f? I'm still a little unsure how compatibility works because sometimes a 1.7.10 mod works with 1.7.2 and sometimes it doesn't. If the latest Harvestcraft will work with 1.7.2, then I definitely am going to update for all the new recipes. I've had so much fun playing with this mod!
Oh, also I don't know if this was known, but some foods weren't craftable in 1.7.2e (shepherd's pie, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, onion soup, and others I can't remember at the moment). I went off the Harvestcraft wiki recipes on those.
Lots going on in this mod, simply amazing, thank you for the hard work =)
One request, can we separate the cranberries/rice/seaweed into two? Cranberries and rice would spawn in lakes and rivers where as seaweed would spawn in the ocean. Thanks for considering!
I've uploaded HarvestCraft 1.7.10c to CurseForge, and it should be approved soon. Hooray!

So I take it that there isn't Bone Mealng for the crops / saplings / shearing gardens?:(
Thank you for the update Pam. I love the new recipes. Pavlova?! Vegemite! Chicko rolls!!! And damper xD Love it.
There's no problems here at all but I thought I'd mention it in case other people are experiencing the same thing.
I'm using HungerOverhaul and it already has the right click to harvest feature. At first, having 2 mods enabling the right-click to harvest method was causing me to eat (or activate) my held item whenever I went to harvest a ripe crop. Ie, I'd harvest a carrot with right click, it would go into my empty hotbar slot and become my held item. The next mature crop I tried to harvest would result in me taking a bite out of the carrot in my hand - as well as harvesting the next carrot in the ground. To deal with this, I've gone into your new config and set
B:rightclickharvestCrop=false
and now I don't have any trouble harvesting crops with right-click using the HungerOverhaul method. I'm guessing it's the same method so there's been no ill effects with crops. Only positives.
The Harvestcraft trees are a little bit different. The HungerOverhaul method doesn't currently effect your fruit crops. Strangely, it still resulted in me taking a bite out of the fruit in my hand when I tried to harvest another ripe fruit from your trees.
It's not really a problem, of course. I have 2 options. I can either leave the default Harvestcraft setting
B:rightclickharvestFruit=true
..and just take a bite of whatever's in my hand when I harvest ripe fruit. Or I could set it to "false" and just continue to left click to harvest fruit crops for now. I'm happy with either way.
I've left everything else as default so I'm still breaking your gardens to get the 3 food item drops as before.
I've mentioned it on the HungerOverhaul issue tracker and it seems something they're interested in. It's a minor thing, though.
Anyway, thanks again for all the cool new features.
I found a bug.. I think. Bone meal is still consumed when used on a mature fruit. If you have right click to harvest turned on you'll get a fruit with every usage.
I'm using a fresh copy of Minecraft 1.7.10, Forge 1231, and HarvestCraft 1.7.10c. No other mods installed.
hey pam i just noticed something.....the maple oatmeal and the peaches and cream oatmeal do not have recipes....there is possibly others.....i havent checked them all
Thought this might be fun. Hers my kitchen set up with all the goodies from harvestcraft. Got my bilbocraft shelving holding my Copper Pots and pans and baking utilities. Also have a presser there. cutting board set up next to my crafting table on an upside down stair to look like a table end. My vanilla furnaces being powered by Flaxbeards Steam Power mod and my Electrical Age lights keeping things nice and bright.
All those chests are full of food items.
Upstairs I have my indoor garden with a good number of crops. And outside ive got my orchard started with as many different fruit types as I have been able to find.

Jolly good, glad that was all resolved.
I say! How rude!
Just how I perceived the comment that's all, it seems I was indeed mistaken, I surely hope you didn't take offense Pam. :3
It was indeed reported some time ago, the 1.7.10c update that will be released tomorrow (for us non-paterons anyway) fixes the bug among other things.
