I have HarvestCraft as well as a few other mods; Little Tiles and this mod seem to have the same recipe for a water bucket. Is there some way to change the recipe?
Does anyone know if it's possible to make immature crops drop seeds only? I tried setting "cropsdropSeeds" to true in the config, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
Hmm. 1.7.10g recipe file link just leads to a 404 error.
I had been hoping to start massaging the recipe list into groups of similar items again, and make a video series based on showing the patterns, but without a recipe file the data's a bit more difficult to work with.
Anybody got an updated link, or a copy of the file I could have?

My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!
My first HarvestCraft video just goes over how to make the cooking utensils (quickly and with no commentary -- it's kind of a reference, for those who prefer vids to other reference styles).
I'm hoping to make more HC vids this week, but so far I haven't been able to get ahead of my schedule enough to put the time in. They're gonna need audio (me talking) and since I'm most active after everyone else is asleep, I have to plan out time to record audio outside my normal computer hours.

Hi! Did anyone else have problems with the Shipping bin? I made a giant farm with the intention of using it, but now as I try to craft it, I can't (Im positive I'm doing it right..). I have a few mods but none of the ones you listed and I don't think they'd interfear to much. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Just a quick question. I love your mod but it spawns all trees and gardens in the Wasteland mod (minecraft 1.7.10). Is there any way for me to avoid this as I sometimes play Wasteland and would rather find seeds and saplings in loot chests and not have trees and gardens all over the world?

Disable trees and gardens in the config file, your minecraft instance/config/harvestcraft.cfg. Set all variables with "Generation" in the name to false.
So... I'm using 1.7.10La, because Lb (or whatever it was) had an error that I don't recall right now but maybe got fixed in a later build. But I've just noticed that the Market Block has this weird thing where you can't page through the seeds regularly -- it offers three types of vanilla seeds (like Melon, Pumpkin, and regular Seeds?) between each HarvestCraft seed. E.g. Beet Seed, Seeds, Pumpkin, Melon, Rutabaga Seed, Seeds, Pumpkin, Melon, Turnip Seed, Seeds, Pumpkin, Melon....
Is this a problem that has been fixed in the later builds, or is it just endemic to 1.7.10 builds? If it's been fixed, I might give higher builds a try again (and try to avoid that problem I was having before).

Got my next HarvestCraft video up, and there'll be another one tomorrow as well. This one covers basic soups; tomorrow's is pies and anything that uses the same recipe as a pie (I hope I didn't miss any).

Working on my Ice Cream video, and just noticed that Spumoni Ice Cream is Pistachio-Cherry-Vanilla instead of Pistachio-Cherry-Chocolate. A quick glance at Wikipedia says Vanilla is a possible variant, but I've only ever seen it with Chocolate.

Can anyone tell me what the point is in having the water traps if they take one bait per catch, and the bait is made with fish?
You're basically catching 3 fish and using a string with them to stick in a trap that will net you 3 fish over approximately 7 1/2 minutes. What's the point? Can we modify it so that it catches more fish per bait?

IIRC, unless something changed, its 3 fish per 4 bait. Granted, a small fraction of what you catch (particularly frogs and shelled creatures) don't work for further bait recipes, but its still net-positive.

Hm. I may have made a mistake. Let me double check - So far I like everything else about the mod!
Edit: Ah, you're right. I see the positive (although string is more annoying to get than fish). I'd still like to modify it as it doesn't really seem like it's currently worth the effort.

From the dev's perspective, it would be simplest to alter the bait recipe so that it required less fish.
Fortunately, if it helps, you can do this yourself via minetweaker I believe, especially if you're playing solo.
Arkylie's Kitchen (my cooking show) is up to eight videos! Feedback appreciated. Bear in mind it's only 1.7.10 so there will be differences between the most recent versions of HarvestCraft and the one I'm giving recipes for.
...I should really make a vending-machine restaurant to spit out neat dishes and have that be part of an episode....

HarvestCraft 1.10 version has a few irritating things. First, stoves or whatever are not in it, and I can't cook turkey meat with a furnace, but they were not removed from the game and still appear in ground traps. Second, the config file is a bunch of gibberish, random letters, numbers, and symbols with no way of telling what I'm looking at. And third, salt ore was removed, so I basically have to fill a bucket with water, craft it into salt, refill it with water, repeat for over an hour just to get one stack of salt. Two changes I would suggest would be to reincorporate salt ore into the 1.10 version of the mod (or remove the need for salt in all recipes), and add the ability to use a furnace to cook turkey meat (or readd the stove, or remove turkey meat entirely).
I had wanted to look at the config file to try and see if the mod was interfering at all with vanilla fishing enchanted drops (books, poles, bows). And if so, to disable mod-specific fish while fishing (only way to get them would be with the water trap). But I've included a file attachment that shows what I see. I don't know if it worked, so an additional source: http://imgur.com/a/USbY7
I tried, originally, to do a spoiler pic embed, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that here.
O.O wow... I thought that you had taken some artwork from the painterly pack but now that I know that you made it... wow... great texture pack creator btw.
Any chance that Harvestcraft will get a 1.8 version? That's what I use because my favorite mod ever goes only that high.

Dear All,
I think i'm doing something wrong, harvestcraft works fine, but I'm unable to make any sapplings. I've combined it with lots o biomes and aquaculture.
Anyone knows what i'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
Polsie
Sorry, i've got the problem... Sorry for troubling you
