I am running a custom server with 1.7.10, and Pam's HarvestCraft 1.7.10Lb. When running the mods stand-alone, I have no problem with HC. However, in the server, I have trouble consuming Pam's food.
I can eat the food item, and it disappears from my inventory. If I open a chest, the item I consumed reappears in the inventory. My hungerbar will fill when the item is eaten, and not decrease when the item reappears. It does decrease at some point. Vanilla foods consume with no problems.
Anyone experience this, and if so, know how to fix or workaround it?
I am having the same problem on the latest 1.7.10 version. What I have noticed is that it's not being registered as being eaten and when it comes back you just need to keep eating it till you you hear the "chomp" sound that it has been finally consumed. It does not fill up the hunger bar as it the hunger bar would indicate. The food comes back that wasn't "consumed" and the hunger bar goes back to what it should have been without the food being eaten. I have no idea how to get around it, I have tried sprinting and eating and that seems to take care of it, sometimes. I think the problem is that the food takes little to no time to eat and the game isn't registering it as being ate.
After a bit of testing, it appears you might be onto something. Any food item that is a Morsel or Nourishing Morsel does not seem to work as food. However, more complex foods that are Meals do work. So, eating any food item from Pam's on its own will not decrease your hunger, but making meals from Pam's foods will.
I do not think this was the intention, so suggest this is a bug and should be addressed.
Ya I'm using the Spice of Life mod and Hunger Overhaul and am not even sure who to address it to? It sucks but I love all these mods and make do with these issues.
Just looked around for a week at the 1.10 update to see what was there, Cool beans for sure, but as much as I like the cool new food in the Harvestcraft updates and the neat features of 1.10, I really miss decorating with flowers. I'll stay on 1.7.10 as long as possible. Oh, and using Harvestcraft as a seed still spawns you outside of a village in 1.10 as well as 1.7.10. Have fun!

Hello! Got a question I have not seen asked or answered in the last 10 or so pages. Do you have any way for pack makers to add custom items to the quern, press, or oven recipes? Not as in how to craft, but what they can process. I would like to force those items to be used in game.

I'm an Admin over at MyM.li and a Good one.
I don't put up with people's excrement. I will most likely offend you.
(Mostly) Not on purpose, but because I will always speak the truth.
All I ask is that you put your big girl panties on and get a thicker skin.

Oh an api? I don't think Pam has one but if she ever decides to add one I would recommend she look at how MrCrayfish does it, he does a really great way of making it possible to add recipes with his furniture and appliances, too bad he doesn't have Pam's foods.
You COULD spend a long time adding Pam's foods to MrCrayfish's appliances, that way you can have a universal set of appliances for all foods though.
Yikes, looks like Pam was in dire straights there for a bit and I came on at the tail end of it :[
Anyone who hasn't read her note there yet should go read it. Looks like she could use a buffer for a while.
What's sad is that her situation rings extra true for me right now, given some things going on in my extended family and how they recently even moved to a shelter to avoid certain relatives. Hope both these situations get better, and soon.

My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!
I never noticed before but jelly sandwiches are huge. I like putting food in my offhand but the sandwiches just look silly, they're so big. That's probably going to be true for a lot of the food I expect.
I think as more modded players transition to 1.9+ they'll find that food in the offhand will be the most common arrangement and the size is going to matter because of how items in that hand can block your view.
Hi Pam, I have a suggestion for the mod. Since this mod has to do with food and stuff, could you add something that lets players know their saturation or find out saturation of a food? I've played a bunch of modpacks but no mod ever has this feature.
It doesn't even have to be a simple hover over a food to find out, there could be some gadget that a player has to make and scan the food, or scan themselves or something. Just some way to know what the player's saturation is and what saturation foods have.

In 1.7.10, there are mods called AppleCore and Spice of Life. They'll let you know your saturation. Just be sure to turn off the options that make it so you have to eat different things (only if you don't want your game to be harder, of course).
The 1.8.9e harvestcraft update has broken textures for all the food dishes, fruits, and vegis.
AGHBABABABABABBABBA ITS DOING IT AGAIN D: i just broke a desert garden thingy and now im crashing! HEEEEELP D:
I like Rainbows. Deal with it >B3

Same here.
it's probably Hunger Overhaul's algorithm, I'm using Spice of Life with no issues.
The same setup worked in single player with no issue. This has only cropped up in multi -player.
I was wondering if it has something to do with the internet? Maybe the server needs to catch up to what you just ate?

Am I going crazy or is the Fish Trap missing from the 1.9.4 versions? Fish bait is there...just no trap to put it in.
