I still say that a honey mead should be craftable.
That probably falls into the "GrowthCraft can do it better" category. You can brew mead in GrowthCraft... hell, they just added cheese and yogurt to their theme of "fermenting food & drink in your cellar".

Well you can always use custom config or minetweaker to change recipes, and mead should be craftable. I believe its just a bucket, a water bucket, and a honey pot. Unless there is honey mead in this mod, which i am unsure of

Just to be pedantic, "honey mead" is redundant. Mead is made from honey. If it's not made from honey, your booze is called something else, but not mead.

AND you can make custom brewing recipes with the latest update to the community edition of growthcraft!
It broke my old configs is the only reason I found that out. lol

And to be even more pedantic, Mead with added fruits or ingredients besides the honey and yeast is called Melomel.
EDIT: Actually, a quick question. Will there be any plans to add Cocoa Beans to the Market Block?
I will be putting it up on CurseForge next Thursday! =)
Please note that the Market, Traps, and Cake Blocks will come back in the next 1.8.9 update, along with compatibility. Beekeeping stuff is getting it's own mod and everything else you should replace with mods that do it better (Growthcraft, Cooking for Blockheads, etc).
1.8.9a - The Most Annoying Update
- Removed: Market, Churn, Quern, Presser, Apiary, Beehives, Candles, Hardened Leather, Wax, Oven, Cake Blocks, Fish Trap, Animal Trap, Tool Blocks, Salt Ore/Blocks
- Removed: Thaumcraft, MFR, Mr. Crayfish, and other compatibility files
- Changed: Six gardens generate across biomes; use Config file to change drops (use at your own risk)
- Changed Tofu recipes: Silken Tofu (saucepan, soybean), Firm Tofu (skillet, silken tofu), Soymilk (pot, soybean)
- Changed Sapling recipes: Now require three fruits instead of one
- Known Bug: Several config options are broke. Will be fixed soon.
YAY! So happy to see this!
Will the removed stuff be put back in later, or is it gone for good?

I only called it honey mead to emphasize that it is a use for the honey from her bees.

The Market, cake blocks, Fish Trap, and Animal Trap will be added back as I get a better handle on 1.8.9 code. Beekeeping stuff is moving to its own mod. You can still get salt with buckets.

Oh wait so did I miss that salt ores are gone now?
I would always tend to oredict salt ores with saltpeter ores myself lol, they are definitely not the same thing but meh

Awesome. Cannot wait for Agricraft to come back and then I'll have my perfect setup of agriculture mods.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
Worst case, I believe there's always Architecturecraft.
Though that mod is quite limited, and some blocks don't have textures for all variants. I do like the roundness of some parts. Allows for a round pool/arches/etc.
Edit: Agricraft does have an alpha, but it says 1.8. Dunno yet if that means 1.8.9 or just the old 1.8.0, but I hope the former. 1.8.0 is horribly unstable.
Beekeeping stuff is moving to its own mod. You can still get salt with buckets.
That's good, 'cuz you should've seen my face when I read that removal line. I don't make much use of the beehives as far as utility, but being able to locate a bee and farm honey has always been a small pleasure inside your mod.
I hope the beekeeping mod doesn't get too complex. I gave up on the other bee-related mods because they really had just way too much stuff for my tastes. I steer clear of almost every mod that is too "stuffed" with goodies I will never use; HarvestCraft has the special distinction of being about the only mod I not only tolerate but rely on that's chock full of items I have never managed to see in my normal gameplay as yet.
Are the kitchenware items being changed to inside kitchen blocks (e.g. a counter block with knife, cutting board, mortar and pestle etc., and a stove/oven block with different types of pans and bakeware)? Seven Days to Die has a system like that that I really enjoy, where its campfire has three slots for cookware and you can cook those things you have cookware for -- which means the cookware doesn't take up inventory slots, which is huge when you're struggling to balance inventory in a mod as massive as HarvestCraft (let alone with other mods in the mix).
Anyway.
I've been away from the modding community for a while now -- mostly -- due to having a busy year and such, and as I'm assembling an updated set of mods (in the wake of refreshing Windows and thus breaking all our builds), I thought I'd drop by to thank you for putting so much work and love into this mod. I can't even begin to appreciate how much that must cost you to keep doing this (though, having recently started my YouTube channel, I am getting a glimpse of some related topics, like all the things that get in the way of being able to put content out in a timely manner).
You don't know what a comfort it is to see HarvestCraft maintained over such a long period, and updated throughout that time -- given all the other mods I've watched drop off the map that I had to let go of as I moved through the updates (and I tend to stay about two updates behind, kinda for that reason... I'm enjoying the latest vanilla for a bit but soon I'll be back in 1.7.10 modded to the gills). Even looking things up now, something like a fifth of what I was hoping to find updated is in fact at 1.6.4 or earlier, and I'm not going back before the fishing update.
Incidentally, when eventually you get around to moving to 1.9, I hope you'll consider my suggestion to merge the "fifty shades of jelly" down to a small handful by color (e.g. Red Jelly, instead of (rummages through recipes file) individual Strawberry, Cherry, Raspberry, Pomegranate, Cranberry, Watermelon, and probably Apple, Mango, Papaya or something as well). It would seriously cut down on the number of items you have to juggle in code and the number of items players have to juggle in the game -- because then most of the sandwiches would be stackable. (So if you have two strawberry jellies and a raspberry jelly and three cherry jellies, you actually have just six Red Jellies in one slot, and they make six red Jelly Sandwiches that are also in one slot, rather than three slots.) Same applies to any item that currently exists as a couple dozen items based entirely on which fruit was used to make it (e.g. yogurt): Six or seven colors plus maybe a couple specials like Piña Colada Yogurt would do fine.
I really doubt this would have a negative impact on immersion, and a major update shift is a good time to do it. Also a good time to add in that PB&J and jelly donuts can be made with any jelly. (If you've already done it, count me that much out of date.)
Also, this is making me wish I was still able to be a Patreon supporter for you, because I would totally be asking for a Bavarian Chocolate Donut (chocolate-covered, custard-filled donut), because those things are yummy. Especially the mini ones you can get at 7-11 (which are like 1/3 of the size but only half the price, and I still want to buy them more than I want the big ones).

My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!

Right? I can't understand it but I've always loved doing it and then I just have random bees and honey that I never use lol

Sorting all the jellies by color instead of type in order to lessen the amount of jellies...
Yes I would definitely agree with this.

Also using agricraft and pam's harvestcraft and want to fix the sesame seed issue? I know how to check my bio for link to see how to fix it.
No alcohol in the mod.

It's already being worked on for 1.8.9 I believe. I need to check Curseforge once I'm back home to be sure, though.
Now that'll be the day. The final one needed is likely Carpenter's Blocks, though that may never come.
