I feel as if I do not have the right java or Buildcraft knowledge to understand on how I could use the API, so I am going to halt this and create an addon to BuildCraft so I can get to know Buildcraft and it's API a bit more for the ease of it , I hope you all don't mind. Hello! Welcome to the Tech Enhanced Mod(May be changed later, first was Technical OverHaul) or TEM for short. This mod is a mod that I have created that brings modern industry into Minecraft. This is a W.I.P mod and it is still under development. please be sure to check back to the forum to see if the mod is actually released.The mod will be released once I can complete basic stuff. Also, the mod is first going to go out for Minecraft 1.6.4 and then 1.7.2 once MC Forge releases a stable version for it
This is a mod that I am developing for fun, I will update the mod if you, the users actually like the mod or I will just take it out until I decide the mod is better and THEN I'll put it back on the forums.
About the mod
This mod uses the BuildCraft API. you can download the BuildCraft API at http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/
^I will be creating my own Energy API once I fully understand BuildCraft's API (or I just might keep BuildCraft's API forever)
-Liquifier(useless right now but you guys should really make one for a future update)
-Energy Cell(still a few bugs which BTW I know so don't spam me with stuff(will be fixed in the next update))
-A lot of items that are used to craft machines
- A phone which is going to be used for future references for those you have trouble with the mod
- Armor which doesn't render but still works
- And Tools! That are going to be having special effects to them for next update
Suggestions:
If any of you guys have any suggestions for the mod, then please feel free to leave a post because I would be happy to implement it into the mod(if it makes sense with the mod).
F.A.Q
Q : is this mod going to be a replica of BuildCraft or any other type of tech mod?
A : NO, it is not. Even though I am using the BuildCraft API I am NOT making a replica and publishing it! It is going to be using the API but I'm going to add my own ideas other than what other tech mods have made
Q : When the mod is released to the public and there are going to be lots of bugs, are you going to release patches immediately after you get billions of bug/crash/mod incompatibility issues
A : No, I will not be releasing like hundreds of patches just to fix issues and the reason is is that I just can't make several patches in a week, I say that everything takes time and you got to wait. I'd say that it'll take 2 - 3 weeks unless it is a huge problem like mod incompatibility
Q : UniversalRed, why you no release new update even though I waited Days/Weeks/Months/Years!!??
A : We'll, first of all I'm sorry if I actually do that and the reason is is because I'm actually still in school and that I got to do billions of projects and assignments, so yes, I'm sorry if I do that but actually I will be doing things for the mod when I'm not doing schoolwork like fixing Bugs/Crashes/Mod Incompatibilities so that when I release it, you guys don't need to keep spamming me with those types of things because they have been fixed for you (No Offense)
Update As of march 22nd:
I have been working hard on the mod since this post went up, I have almost everything done for first release, but I don't think it will be done until next week or maybe the following weeks since there are a few issues in the mod that don't seem to fix themselves, so I have to fix them myself, and the other problems don't seem to make enough sense in them. I WILL be working hard to make sure these bugs are fixed, as well as the code for them, and when I am ready to release the mod, it will be up as soon as possible.
Also, when the mod is released, please be sure to post bugs and crashes on the Minecraft Forums Page(This one) so that they can be solved to the best of my abilities. And also, please, don't mind my bad textures when the mod is released since I am not a very good computer artist . If you are willing to make the textures better when the mod is released, then please send them(I will give credit, don't worry) through P.M. that would be great!
Permissions
If you are going to be asking to use this mod for your public modpack, then please, go ahead as long as you credit me, the mod author and at least send a link to this Forum page, as well as the BuildCraft Guys (I don't know if you are suppose credit the BC Team as well, but I'll check with them ), which BTW is www.mod-buildcraft.com .
Also, if you want to create a Resource pack for this mod then atleast credit me, the mod author and send a link to the mod forums.
Why would'nt I post?The reason I posted this is for people to give me more ideas and to give me feed back whether or not if it's good or bad, that is why I made a forum post for this, don't get me wrong, you are right to why I would have made a forum post if I haven't posted the mod download but I have already stated my answer to your question
