Stairs will have a mini glass pane added to them if they are placed next to a glass pane. The glass pane must connect to the "notched" portion of the stairs. Mixing colors of connected glass will show that the horizontally-connected pane takes precedence.

Whoops, just noticed that I somehow nerfed the inventory icons for stairs. Someone smack the beta-tester! Will post an updated version once I figure out just what I did wrong.
Is this just a graphics thing? Do you need to have this installed on servers too? Because this would be awesome if it just changed what they look like.

Just graphics, which means it's client-side only... no server install. Simply a visual tweak.
So...vanilla isnt like this becaaaaause?
Deffinatly something that goes on top of my mods list...once i get around to playing mods in 1.7....
So yah, when the plugin feature comes around this will be one of my first downloaded
really nice mod! but this mod works perfectly fine (except some compatibility problems) I think it can be moved out of WIP.
also how are you handling the rendering code and how is the integration for 3DBlocks?
Yeah I think it's settled down, will have to have a mod move the thread. Rendering is done with Forge's ISimpleBlockRenderingHandler, and to get that to work I used some class transformation to replace the vanilla getRenderType() for stairs. I don't really know what's up with Blocks3D without seeing what they are doing... looks like they're hooking into inventory rendering in some way that's incompatible with ISimpleBlockRenderingHandler.

not working when i tried, most likely incompatible with optifine, mymod list @ the time;
optifine, liteloader, inventory tweaks, forge V7,2,125,1039,
no crash just tht the glass dosn't connect
Could you make a download for 1.6.4? It sounds funny but there are a lot of mods I like to play with in my survival world that are not 1.7.2 compatible. It might be a lot of work, but I would really appreciate it.
I must say, this is a great mod, Diamonds and Gold to you!
But I think this doesn't work properly with atomicstryker's dynamic lights, as it is the only other aesthetic mod I currently use. You can see water and stuff through the stairs.

I've noticed you can also see torches through the stairs, even without dynamic lights. Not sure what's up there.
I made a Feed The Beast modpack! Simply type "Experiment812390" without quotes into the 3rD party codes area and you can see the mods list and install!

BTW is it open source?
Hello World!
I haven't opened up the source yet as my class transformers need some housekeeping. I have a nice name framework that *almost* works automagically.

Interesting.... that's exactly what v1.1.0 was supposed to fix. Thanks for the heads up!
