Maybe if you contact him, he can help you re-implement the Gregtech 5 Support back in to the mod.
I for one, am still using an old version, because, if I lost Gregtech 5 Support with the Power Converters Mod, my entire world would be screwed.
I really hope you both can figure this out and re add the support back in.
In the latest version of Power Converters 3.2.0, all IC2 consumers are disabled - all other consumers work, but any consumer that attempts to use IC2 Power, doesn't work. I had to roll back - my entire network is down without these consumer blocks working.

Well, I came to report this but it would seem you beat me to it. X3 A workaround I found (requires ExtraUtilities mod) is to use an Energy Transfer Node; those can convert from EU to RF.

I am having issues running it with the mod. I am running it on an FTB Infinity server and the server loads fine, but the client throws an error on it. Java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: iron. Any ideas or tips? Pastebin attached. http://pastebin.com/ramLadpA
Steam is broken for me as well, there is only 1 type of Steam Consumer and placing a Steam Producer (Steam) causes the world to crash on trying to open.
I use this with Ender Tanks to transport energy across the entire world. I could use Ender IO for this and just use Power Converters for EU <-> RF, but that's a bit annoying.
Any chance someone could post a complete recipe list for the mod? I am unable to create things like the RF Consumer due to the recipe in both NEI and CraftGuide being incorrect (or simply not working). It renders the mod unusable because of it. I have tried several of the last builds, from 70 through to 74 - all have the same result.
Edit:
Supporting information:
- MC v1.7.10
- FML v7.10.99.99
- Minecraft Forge v10.13.4.1448
- CodeChickenCore v1.0.7.46
- NEI v1.0.5.111
- BuildCraft v7.0.9
- IC2 v2.2.736-experimental
- Forestry v3.5.7.16
- PowerConverters (any build from 70 to 74)
The recipe for an Energy Bridge works fine. When attempting to craft a RF Consumer, the recipe shows:2 Bronze Gear, 2 Biogas Engine, 1 Intricate Circuit Board, and 4 Fire (ID 51) - one in each corner. I am aware that historically that indicated an ID conflict, but when using 1.7.10 that doesn't happen unless a mod's items/recipes have hard-coded item IDs. Did an author hard-code something for Power Converters?
The list above isn't my usual mod list, but I minimized what I needed to test with to that, and the RF Consumer recipe still won't work properly (fire appears in the corners). I need to have IC2 and BuildCraft installed at a minimum to create a RF Consumer, I believe.
do not use jenkins versions of the mods, please recreate using the latest versions from curse or curseforge.
The curseforge version IS the jenkins version. Do not assume every mod author is king lemming. Some want people to have access to the dev builds because they need beta testers. However some mod authors have crews that worship them so they can afford to only release quality builds. The bottom line is dont make assumptions you dont know anything about.
Fine, to be more specific dont use jenkins versions, use RELEASE versions from curseforge. I know Jim, i talk to him often, PowerConverters is not his main mod priority and he is busy with real life stuff. YOU shouldnt be making assumptions you know nothing about. Alphas are alphas for a reason.
I am a beta tester for all of Jim's builds, maybe you should follow your own advice before being an asshole.
His server was crashing, it shouldnt be using jenkins versions if he wants it to not crash, he wasnt reporting a bug, just stating a crash.
Well buildcraft doesnt use MJ anymore, hasnt for a long time. It uses RF. As for why the recipe is missing... i think Jim hasnt updated the recipes to use the new names, ill take a look.
Also there is another issue with the steam producers and consumer - they cause you to crash if you try spawning one into the game from the NEI menu in creative mode.
There is a New Mod Developer "Blood Asp" whom is working on an Unofficial (but authorized by Greg) update to the Gregtech 5 Mod.

You are using a dev version, do not grab those. Its best not to even grab the jenkins versions, it is best to grab them from here: http://www.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/229499-powerconverters-portablejims-fork#t1:other-downloads
Aaah okay, thank you! I greatly appreciate it.
is there support for Immibi's Ic2 classic port?
Thank you! now i can use thermal expansion and ic2

no one can help without a crash report.

Hi all.

Missing MJ consumer / producer recipe. In log strange string "Buildcraft recipe is missing items, not adding Power Converters converter recipes.". What's wrong?

I feel stupid)
Please fix the Steam Producers and Steam Consumers they are not working on Server edition or client.

Hey, I've been looking for this mod... Have needed to convert IC2 to BC.
I'm running latest IC2 781 exp and lastest Buildcraft 7.1.9 and I get this error
http://pastebin.com/8widAMEF
Does this mean that it won't work with Buildcraft ?
I'm on Forge 1492 running a KCauldron server. And running your latest build 76
Thanks.
