I've been able to use your latest Lite pack to get shaders into Vivecraft - Minecraft for room-scale VR - and I can run them while livestreaming from the same PC. So thank you and congrats on having a beautiful shader pack that can deliver framerates, even in VR! That said, I don't know if I can live inside the headset much longer with my home and caves constantly orange-lit by torches. The color temperature becomes actually oppressive. So I took a look through the shaders and I plan to do some experimenting tomorrow, but am I right that torchlight has been hard-coded into 'ambientNdotL.rgb' across multiple gbuffer_*.vsh files?
I'm looking at these lines:
ambientNdotL.rgb = amb1 + vec3(1.0,0.42,0.045)*torch_lightmap[...]
...And I'm guessing that vec3 is the orange of the torchlight color.
If you can confirm, it'll save me some blind testing when I wake up later.
Absolutely love this shader, but I realised I ran into a bug: Enchanted Item flicker. All of them, I got those big black flickers on them. It's not game breaking, I rarely use third person, but it does mess up the screenshots when I take some
(And the no-night-vision-potion bug too, but I've read this one is known and no one with shader can solve it, so...)
Can you please release or make a version of "Chocapic13 No Shadows Lite RC1" with no vignette? (I know that I can do this with the Shaders Option implemented by Optifine but I'm super OC and always want a clean shaderpacks folder and not having any text files on it.) I absolutely love the shaderpack but I honestly think that the vignette takes a small part of the screen. I've been supporting you since v3 and your shaderpacks are absolutely my favorite. I'd do this myself but I have no idea how GLSL works. Thanks!
I'm using the medium version of your shaders and I'm liking it a lot, there is only one problem. I tried to modify the light strength of held torches (placed torches are fine) so that I can have a bit more light when caving. I modified the appropriate line in all files that had it and oddly enough after reloading the shader and even restarting Minecraft, the light strength is still the same and I'm honestly stumped. Is there some other place in the shaders where held item light strength is set?
Another thing I encountered is... weird sky color shifts when quickly looking up and down while looking at sunrise/sunset, it only happens in a very small timeframe.
I want to disable it but commenting out the wave gen or setting the wavy variables to perma-false in any of the terrain.vsh files doesn't do a thing.
It's triggering my OCD when unmoving flowering Biomes 'o' Plenty oak leaves sit in the midst of Chocapic's homage to sine!
In before people complain: Yes, I did post this before - if you saw it, I'm sorry. I can't find it anywhere so I'm posting again.
I've been exclusively using this shader for a long time now and absolutely love it. However, I recently started using the Wind Waker Edition resource pack and noticed that the shader's sky texture overrides the resource pack's. Stranger still, it only happens during the day. At night, the Wind Waker sky fades in and is perfectly visible. So my question: what needs to be adjusted in the shader files so that my resource pack's sky is what I see during the day as well? Any help would be much appreciated.
I'm in love with your shaders. It's amazing how well they look considering the impact they have on performance. Sadly, I have a weird bug with your V6 shaders. For some reason if I move the camera too fast downwards the sky flickers. This happens all the time but is mostly noticeable at night.
This first screenshot shows how the sky looks while the camera is still.
This second one shows how it looks while I move the camera downwards fast.
And this happens when I move it sideways. All of this only happens for a split second though.
I've tested this with V6 lite, low and medium and it happens in all of them.
I thought that maybe it was an issue with my PC's performance, but then I tested this with V7 Ultra (which is very laggy for me) and the issue didn't occur.
Hi guys, just need some help here, probably not a bug specifically with the shaderpack, but maybe in combination with another mod.
I'm running The Simple pack with Optifine 1.10.2 HD U E7, and I installed V6 High Chocapic Shaders. Now at night, the sky isn't dark at all. In fact, it looks exactly like day time.
PC Specs:
i7-4770
Gigabyte GTX 970
16Gb RAM
Pics:
I did use the recommended settings as suggested when you install the shaderpack
Hoping you guys can help, thanks
What mods do you have? And did you check in your settings if you have the daylight cycle or day-only?
Hi. When I use your shader, almost every things goes abnormally. I use Forge, 1.12, OptiFIne, Java 64bit. The F3-debug screens in the screenshots include more infomations. Could you help solve it? Thanks.
first of all.. MC looks amazing with Optifine and this shader (ps. I'm new to MC so I'm not very well versed in all the options etc)... but I do have a small problem.
I usually play on SMP servers, and when I meet other players that have enchanted armor on, it flickers strangely, and I've encountered 1 area where if I look at a sign that's lighted up, it will go dark/black... is it a setting or?
Hey everyone, I just uploaded a beta version for V7 Lite, it's a huge rewrite that uses the latest optifines features. There is still some issues but they should be fixed soon. It should run on amd, nvida and intel gpus, I am still unsure about mac compatibility. Performance is nearly doubled in some cases vs V6-Lite on my amd laptop:
Hello, I'm currently using the v6 ultra shaderpack and It's great! Unfortunately I'm experiencing a very annoying bug involving enchanted armor. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. Also enchanted items don't have a glowing aura in your hand. I'm running Windows 10 on a Gtx 1070. My cpu is an i7 7700. I've seen someone else post something about this a year ago but it hasn't been addressed yet. I tried the v7 beta version and its still bugged.

That's the third message with this bug I've seen in a couple weeks, maybe if people keep asking, someone is going to eventually react...
Yeah pls help with the light ;-; i cant see anything.

Hey,I use v6 version and I want darker night sky. Which items I need to rewrite?
It's really beautiful but too bright for me.

Also, whenever I run the shader pack onto my game it always displays 2 messages saying:
"Error: gbuffers_water.fsh" and "Error: gbuffers_weather.fsh"
Is there anyway to get rid of these as well?

Is there a way to manually add specular maps to the Lite shader?

no one that's able to help me with my issue? or at least tell who else to talk to about it?
Already asked about this bug, nobody answered me
It happens to me as well, and on many shader packs so it might be a shader thing but I'd like confirmation...
