This is a very simple mod that adds rudimentary support for the MFR planter and harvester to Magical Crops. It gives the seed, the product, and second seed drop. (Unless the second seed is disabled in the config)
Installation:
Drop the mod into the mod folder on the server. This is not needed, or useful for the client, unless you are running in single player.
Compatibility:
Tested with FTB Monster Pack 1.0.4
(Minecraft 1.6.4, MFR-2.7.4-255, Magical Crops 1.6.4_3.1.4)
Tested with and without MCPC+
This will hopefully work with similar versions, but is untested.
Bugs/Limitations:
Plants will not drop some secondary drops, including Christmas essence.
If MFR or Magical Crops is not installed, Minecraft will likely crash during startup. Though, in this case, I do question why you're installing this mod.
Fertilizer support wasn't added, because allowing fertilizing of Magical Crops with normal fertilizer is utterly broken.
License/Usage:
The source code is bundled into the jar file, though it's only one file.
The source and compiled are licensed under the CC0 1.0 license: http://creativecommo...omain/zero/1.0/
And yes, this means you are free to put it in a modpack or make money off it using ad.fly
Magical Crops and Minefactory Reloaded are owned by their respective owners, neither of which is me.

Ok, so how's this code any different from the current support from MFR to Magical Crops? I think it's exactly the same code, which was reported to be dropping wrong items. Maybe it was a id missmatch issue?
Rebuilt this, based off of the original and further work from mechaet, to correct the missing crops and add fertilizer support (magic fertilizer only for non-food crops, regular fertilizer otherwise). Available here, with source: MFRCompatMagicalCrops (0.1b)

Looks interestring. The one thing I'm curious about is why you moved the registration to init instead of postInit. I think that both work if the mods load in the right order, but running in postInit makes everything work if this plugin is loaded before the MagicalCrops and MFR mods.

I had originally moved it since I wanted access to non-static members of the class, before realizing that postInit itself didn't actually need to be static. Looking at it now, of course, you are correct in that it's an unnecessary move. Thankfully, by telling Forge that this mod depends on both MagicalCrops and MFR everything should be automatically sorted to load after both.
I was seeing a similar problem with MagicalCrops-1.6.4_3.2.0_BETA_15a and MineFactoryReloaded-2.7.9-final. When I took a closer look it seems like quite a few things have changed, but currently it looks like MineFactoryReloaded supports all the "magical" crops by default, so you shouldn't need a compatibility layer any more.
However, it also looks like MFR *doesn't* support the "standard" crops (Strawberries, Chilli, etc.), so you do need a compatibility layer for that.
The mod by Xanarios crashes out when it can't find any of the crops, and as it does the "magical" ones first, it never gets to the "standard" crops.
I've never modded before but I figured I'd have a go, so I've come up with the following that just adds the "standard" crops, and won't fatal if it can't fetch a crop or seed from MagicalCrops, but will fatal if it can't then add those into MFR.
All credit to Xanarios and Patmo98 for their original work.
I don't know what im doing wrong. Im using AT Launcher and playing UHS. I change the configs around to allow MFR harvesters and planters on magical crops. but the harvester just doesn't seem to work on any of them. I have this mod installed any everything. The only difference i see is that UHS uses 3.2 magical crops. does that for 100% sure break this config hack?
for the record. I had to remove the direct disable of them inside minetweakers config.

You are the greatest modder alive today.
I shall name you the King!
Ty, for doing an amazing job!
BTW I'm not complaining! I'm already using this mod (as seen here http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/mfr-and-magical-crops.39360/)
Edit: Essence Seeds and Essence Crops are missing.

I agree that this error is really hard to read. The key line is this one:
> Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchFieldException: mCropAlumin
That is saying that this mod can't find the Aluminum crop.
I've tested this with 3.1.4. It looks like you have 3.1.3:
> magicalcrops{3.1.2} [Magical Crops] (magical_crops_1.6.4_3.1.3.zip) Unloaded->Constructed->Pre-initialized->Initialized->Post-initialized
I would try upgrading to 3.1.4 and see if that fixes the problem.
Does it also work with these sugar canes (Reeds)? http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2211508-164-growableresources-034-now-with-miniature-blocks-modjam3/
for the record. I had to remove the direct disable of them inside minetweakers config.
Will this run for the MFR and Magical crops for 1.7.10? If so, please let me know, if not, then oh well.
I was curious about it was all. I don't mind doing it manually, but I have everything automatized except for the magical crops on my 1.7.10 SSP world.
thanks man! do you just put it in the .mods folder? (:
Sweet! Thanks for this. I will be trying it out later on when I get a chance.
But the only thing that's bothering me is that sweetcorn, grapes etc. don't work with the harvester or the fruitpicker.
please tell me if you're gonna fix this or i'm just being stupid.
don't know about fruitpicker though.
