no, i was agreeing with you, really.
just pointing out that it's kind of a side-step to the normal processing chain, which then starts where vanilla ores would begin.
that's pretty neat that AODB supports them as well, too.
nether ore -> 2x standard output -> processing.
AOBD supports anything that is register in the ore dictionary
So if nether ores register a oreCopper, for example, you'll be able to process that with any of the mods I mentioned in the post

Every Ore already known by Thaumcraft (and their clusters) drop extra nuggeds when thrown into an infernal furnace.
Is it possible to add that for new ores like Ferrus and Shiny ore from Thermal Expansion?
Also, getting Shiny dust from pulverising Ferrus ore is an important source for Shiny metal.
Maybe you could change the nugget drops of Ferrus ore (nickel cluster) to Shiny nuggets.
I think Shiny is registered as platinum.
It does it automatically if you have both thaumcraft and thermal expansion installed

Nope, I've tested it.
I don't get any nuggets from Ferrus or Shiny Ore, or their clusters.
The same goes for Cobalt and Ardite clusters from TC.
And yes, I've used the latest versions of everything.
AOBD 2.2.4
Thaumcraft 4.2.0.1
Thermal Expansion 4.0.0B5
Tinkers Construct 1.6.0d40.1
I also noticed, that Ferrus ore in IC machines gives tiny piles of nickle as secondary output.
It would be good, to maybe change that to tiny piles of platinum (shiny metal)
Hm I'll have a look at the Thaumcraft part then.
As for the secondary output, you're the one who have to configure it otherwise it defaults to the same metal. So if you want nickel to yield platinum you'll have to change that in the configs
The developer of PFAA said this when i asked him about it -
"This seems to be an issue with the AOBD mod. It sounds like a useful mod to use alongside Geologica, but it also seems to assume that an ingot is present for every ore (and crashes if that assumption fails). Ideally, it would add ingots along with dusts, but at least it should be robust to the absence of ingots. Would you please report to the AOBD author?"
Idk if this is useful info for you or not, but figured i'd let you know anyway!
Is it possible to get Nether Ores added? Or would that be on Nether Ores' side (Or even EnderIO)?
I'm trying to use enderio for processing and I have to smelt then manually place then break for most nether ores, but with a Thermal Expansion pulverizer it's one step.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I haven't lost an arm brother, it's right over there..

Very patronising of him but thanks for your report.
I'll see what's causing that issue because AOBD should be robust enough to check if the ingot is actually registered =P
Edit.: I tried loading the two mods together and It didn't crash... I'm guessing there's a mod you have installed that is messing with the ore dictionary. Could you try loading just AOBD, geologica, mekanism, EnderIO and ThermalExpanion and see if the crash still happens?

If Nether Ores' ores are registered in the ore dictionary as oreIron, oreGold and so on you will be able to use them.
if they aren't registered then you'll need to pester their mod authors to register them or use a different mod that allows you to do custom ore dictionary registrations (like MineTweaker or ZZZZZCustomConfigs)
Nether Ores adds ores that smelt to 2 (user configurable) non nether ores. ore dictionary names are nether + <ore dictionary name of ore smelted to>. If there is dust for any ore Nether Ores adds pulverizer and IC2 macerator recipes.
You shouldn't need to place and rebreak after smelting them.
I haven't figured out how to add EnderIO recipes other than using the config. If i knew how I'd try sending Skyboy PR adding it to Nether Ores. I'm sure it's easy and I just missed it and will feel dumb when told.

Can't you just smelt them and then use those non-nether ores in the ore processing machines of other mods..?

Yes you can. You don't need to add anything for nether ores. Nether Ores doesn't even NEED the TE/IC2 recipes it has. Adding enderIO support to it would be nice but something for nether ores to add.
Yea, i agree.....dont shoot the messenger though :D! Tried loading just those and it worked fine. I'll have to do without geologica considering im running like 250 mods and don't really want to take the time to pin point the cause lol

Well I'd see if any of the mods you have add anything related to tungsten since that's what caused the issue.
AOBD searches for ores that have a matching ingot, it found it when it was pre-loading, but when it was loading and registering recipes the ingot was gone The only way that could happen is if some mod is clearing the ore dictionary entry for ingotTungsten (why a mod would do that is beyond me).
So I'd look for mods that are known to be, well, hacky (like GregTech and such). Other than that, No other way to pin it down without adding each mod one by one.
Can you add the Yellorite Ore from Big Reactors to the mod? Or add another way to link the ore to the correspondent ingot? Because in that mod the ore is registered as oreYellorite but the ingot is registered as ingotYellorium... So your mod is not finding the link between them...
In the config could be like S:custom=[ore]-[ingot]-[color]-[prefixes of the available items for it]
That sounds like a bug in BigReactors =P
He should register the ingot and ore with the same name if he wants other mods to play nicely with it.
I'm not adding a work around on my mod for everyone who does something in their own style instead of going along with the flow.
But I'm glad you enjoy the mod
You could work around if you used mods, such as MineTweaker, to register the big reactors ingots with the correct ore dictionary name. Then AOBD would find them
AOBD supports anything that is register in the ore dictionary
So if nether ores register a oreCopper, for example, you'll be able to process that with any of the mods I mentioned in the post
1.7.2 is dead, update.

Reverting back to 2.2.3 stops the crash.
It does it automatically if you have both thaumcraft and thermal expansion installed
Hm strange... I'll see if I can reproduce it
You wont be able to no worries!
Had corrupted CoFH folders in some mods that were using an older energy conversion type. After deleting them everything worked fine.
Hm I'll have a look at the Thaumcraft part then.
As for the secondary output, you're the one who have to configure it otherwise it defaults to the same metal. So if you want nickel to yield platinum you'll have to change that in the configs
Adding that yielded this crash - http://pastebin.com/iV2fnrLm
The developer of PFAA said this when i asked him about it -
"This seems to be an issue with the AOBD mod. It sounds like a useful mod to use alongside Geologica, but it also seems to assume that an ingot is present for every ore (and crashes if that assumption fails). Ideally, it would add ingots along with dusts, but at least it should be robust to the absence of ingots. Would you please report to the AOBD author?"
Idk if this is useful info for you or not, but figured i'd let you know anyway!
I'm trying to use enderio for processing and I have to smelt then manually place then break for most nether ores, but with a Thermal Expansion pulverizer it's one step.
You need a HEX color code (Adding "0x" in front of it I guess?)
S:custom=Yellorite-0xE6FF40
S:custom=Yellorite-0xE6FF40-dust,clump,shard,crystal,cluster,dustDirty
Yeah if it's a "known" prefix it will take the image from the AOBD default assets.
