Hmm, not getting either error in SP. Will have to set up a server to look at those. Anybody else trying on a server?

This is a bit ridiculous that you are not testing your mod in a server environment...
I'm sorry if that sounds mean, but it's not hard to do...
I would really like to play with this mod with my friends but I'll have to wait for the next fix.
PS. These patches might as well be new minor versions so that way it's easier to tell what version everyone is on.

Dear God, I always thought UB Constructs was an addon for UB (despite all your posts in the Highlands threads which shows how mightily perceptive I am), I did not know it was a replacement for the previous UB. Thanks for the post in the metallurgy thread that helped me compute 2+2=4.
Awesome job you did here. Thought I dread the large amount of textures in UBC, I wish to do an UBC texture pack for Dokucraft in the future. I already did some stone textures for Enhanced Biomes (which add new stones so that some biomes may replace vanilla stone with their own) based on many of the textures available in the Doku community, you can check a pic here if you want.
I hope both mods will be compatible in the future (the author of EB has now reached the stage where he is scratching his head as how to do modded ores compatibility and having them spawn with custom stone textures), thought I fear that it may end up impossible due to the way they work.
Thanks for your hard work.
Forgot to reply to this in the bugpatch rush.
I would *love* to have Doku textures! I love your stuff!
At present, EB and UB are completely incompatible below-ground in the sense that only one can generate. You could have both kinds of stone blocks in the world, but the generator can only make one type.
For the short term, I think the best approach for EB would be for him to provide an option to shut off EB generation underground (if he hasn't already) but still have the stones in the block registry (so existing worlds could be switched between the two generation types).
In the long term, I intend to make the UB biome system configurable and in that case another mod author, including EB's author, could add in underground biomes for UB to place in the world with (if they choose) their own types of stones, or even have the UB system generate only their stones. The UBify ore system could work on other types of stone if we could design an interface.

That was me; I should have put this in the known issues. Something in the Forge recipe system was erasing the UB slab recipes when I ran oredictify with the vanilla recipe in. So I took it out during the oredictify process. I tried adding it back in afterwards but I had some problem with that; I don't remember what. I'll go after it again once I finish updating ExplorerCraft.
For now if you run with oredictify off the cobble slab recipe should be available.
Glad to find out theres a fix for this. You still planning on fixing this?

It's been fixed. Right now I'm working on making the 1.6 -> 1.7 conversion more solid (it's working at present but only if some of the constructs are on.) and I'll put those out together.

Okay to be more clear its not working in 1.6.4 V0.4b. Sooo.... you plan on fixing it? After finding out I couldn't make cobblestone half slabs I came here and found out that tweak in the configs to make it work.

Which is the latest 1.6.4 version?
Also is this mod a replacement for UB or just an extension? Do I need to have UB installed to use this?
V0.4b is the latest for 1.6.4. No they took over the mod and just slightly changed the name which seems to mess up people and they think its an add-on when its not.
Any chance of us getting an official final release for 1.6.4? Minecraft 1.7.2 is just a completely borked version of vanilla and lots of mods are waiting for a more stable release (most notably Thermal Expansion and Tinker's Construct). Fortunately, Forge for 1.7.10 is finally out (well prerelease 4), so it won't be long at all now. In the mean time, it'd be great to get a final release of UB Constructs for 1.6.4.
By the way Zeno, I just wanted to say thank you and that I'm really glad you decided to release Constructs on its own as opposed to an addon. Many mod devs are terrible at communicating with the community, for whatever reasons, and its just refreshing to interact with a dev that actually listens to the player base. The massive speed improvements to generation were sooo long overdue and its aesthetically awesome to see ores matching stone types now. UB was on the verge of stagnating before Constructs came around, and there really isn't many alternative mods that could have filled the void left if it was lost. So, once again, thank you and I look forward to seeing what comes next for UB! (end of brown-nosing...)
Thanks for the reply. Currently updating the Doku pack for BoP is taking quite a lot of time but in a few weeks I'll be able to focus on making textures for both your mod and metallurgy 4. I like how you use ore overlay instead of full textures for each ore/stone combo.
Well 24 stones x 6 ores x 3 released packs = "OMG you've got to be kidding me"
Indeed, EB currently has an option to disable its own stone generation for compatibility issues. I assume it'll become a permanent feature.
That's good to hear, for a number of reasons. Amongst others, I won't have to switch UB in an out of my mod folder as I try to integrate Enhanced Biomes with Climate Control in a day or too.
What about this link you released a few weeks ago for a patched 1.6.4? https://www.dropbox....structsTest.zip
I've been using this for quite a while and it seems fine. No bugs that I've seen and slabs work great.

<snip appreciated compliments>
Ah, clever man - you know we modders do it for the ego. Well, that and inspiration. I want to do a bunch of testing on the 1.6-> 1.7 conversion before a final release. And I was about to, until I had an idea to use Climate Control to prevent chunk boundaries (under certain circumstances). And when I have an idea like that, it just grabs me and won't let me go until I do it. So it's hard to get myself to do comparatively tedious testing for UB 1.6.4 - even more so because my idea *works*.
But, you are persuasive, so I'll see what I can do.

Thanks so much Zeno! You rock!
Just out of curiosity, do you plan on updating to 1.7.10 asap, or are you wrapping up some more things in 1.7.2 after you finish the upcoming update? I'm not trying to rush you or anything, just wondered what your plans are. I'm staying at 1.6.4 until most mods update to 1.7.10 anyhow, but I can finally start to at least consider the changes I want to make to my pack.

Currently I'm planning to update fairly quickly. I want to get the various chunk-boundary-free world changes going in Climate Control, which I'd guesstimate will be on the order of 2 weeks. After that I don't have any priorities ahead of converting to 1.7.10. I do have a lot to convert, though, and I also need to factor out my shared utilities into a separate mod for all three (for API reason), so it may take me a while to convert.

Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
It looks like animals can't path-find over the new ores?

Not exactly; the pathfinding is using the renderID, but that isn't set up because the renderer can't exist on the server.
Try this patch.
Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
This seems to have fixed it.
Thanks!
This is using the test10 version of UBC
Second bug, picking up a UBC ore block in creative mode results in a wrong ore block in inventory.
For example an Eclogite Coal Ore picked up turns into a gneiss Coal Ore. A Siltstone Coal ore turns into a limestone Coal Ore.
Hmm, not getting either error in SP. Will have to set up a server to look at those. Anybody else trying on a server?
Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
I can confirm both of these bugs.
Here is the crash report for the mining bug.

OK, patch for those bugs.

I have it fixed in my own versions, I just haven't released it yet.

V0.4b is the latest for 1.6.4. No they took over the mod and just slightly changed the name which seems to mess up people and they think its an add-on when its not.
What about this link you released a few weeks ago for a patched 1.6.4? https://www.dropbox.com/s/dat71j4sc8tsddz/UndergroundBiomesConstructsTest.zip
I've been using this for quite a while and it seems fine. No bugs that I've seen and slabs work great.
Well 24 stones x 6 ores x 3 released packs = "OMG you've got to be kidding me"
That's good to hear, for a number of reasons. Amongst others, I won't have to switch UB in an out of my mod folder as I try to integrate Enhanced Biomes with Climate Control in a day or too.

RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
So I can just swap this with the one I have and not have any issues with like the config or ingame problems?
Thanks so much Zeno! You rock!
Just out of curiosity, do you plan on updating to 1.7.10 asap, or are you wrapping up some more things in 1.7.2 after you finish the upcoming update? I'm not trying to rush you or anything, just wondered what your plans are. I'm staying at 1.6.4 until most mods update to 1.7.10 anyhow, but I can finally start to at least consider the changes I want to make to my pack.
