While I can set the Diaboline to be registered to have UBC Textures, it will not "light up" in the when there is a gas touching one of it's faces. I opted not to do GG so as to not ruin that mechanic.
Do you know of any other mods that have something like that "clearVarsforRecursiveGeneration" behavior? Do you know what kind of mods (probably worldgen) might try to do something like that?
I saw the same twilight forest crash that it caused in another modpack that did not have you in it.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
I have been using BigTrees and UBC together a long time with no problems.
I do crash once every hour with my current installation of mods though, but hopefully that's just a bunch of minor fixable bugs I haven't fixed yet..
Hopefully they are compatible, it sure seems like it to me.

I'm not aware of any but it's a fairly obvious desperation fix to deal with chronic recursive generation problems.

Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.

Ive run into a problem. Im maintaining a modpack and got the permissions... but I got tinkers construct and it wont accept the mods cobblestone... it looks ate oredict and I checked. yours is good and I asked Boni (maintainer of tinkers' contruct:
boni: Mrbysco: it adds all oredicted cobble. if it doesn't work with UB it's probably registering its stuff too late.

Yeah, been running Minetweaker logs, and UBC, UBC Ores, and WTF's AdventureCraft are all suffering from the same problem. It only registers the first of the ore-->type of each stone in the Ore Dictionary. Basically, this:
<UndergroundBiomes:igneous_oreCoal> -- Red Granite Coal Ore
to name an example. There are no other types of igneous_oreCoal listed.

Part of the problem may be that those ores aren't actually given to the player when they get broken or silk touched, It gives you back the base block. Silk Touching Red Granite Coal Ore will just give you vanilla Coal Ore.
Hello Zeno! I have made a fork of this mod for personal use - all I did was alter the reflection code a bit so that it works in de-obfuscated environments, fix a vec3pool reference, and rework a bunch of textures according to my own tastes. I also removed the intermod compat for NoCubes and Highlands but that's not out of a real desire to get rid of that stuff - I just couldn't find the APIs, heh. Anyway, I just thought I'd stop by to ask if you're okay with that. Also, if you want anything submitted as a pull request upstream, I can do that.
I also have plans to do a bit more also: mostly I'm gonna see if I can optimize it (although you may have done all that can be done already, heh) at all. I'm considering a mechanic that would allow the people who complain about "rock spam" to craft tools that will only drop cobble when UB stone is mined (or vanilla stone with silk touch), but that might be better as an addon.

The inquisitors were torturing Harry.
First, Ignatius used the rock.
Then Billy asked Harry if he wanted to read his BDSM blog. Harry was so surprised that his pants flew right off. He was wearing women's underpants. The inquisitors were wearing them, too.
I am hysterical about the UBC ore registrar, it's great!
If my post had any effect on you making it, thanks. Well thanks anyway!
Do you just put in mods folder?
Any plans on Glenns' Gases?
Of course the UBC registrar jar goes into the mods folder, stupid me
Thanks

You have to register the metadata as well, Zeno.

I will follow you to the BT thread, and see what you find out.
I have to know whether two of my favorite mods are compatible!

They realized that they were all men of the lord.
