Netherrocks Fusion
alloy pack for Netherrocks 1.6.4 and 1.7.2
This is a Fusion alloy pack for Netherrocks with 4 alloys and a new high end furnace and fusion furnace.
Dragon Bezoar Furnace cooks at 3x speed, fuel last 2x as long, has 25% chance of doubling and 50% chance of giving 1 extra output
for normal single output recipes that gives 38.5% chance of 1 50% chance of 2 and 12.5% chance of 3
The stats and bonus on items are customizable
Alloys
fyrite + illumenite = Cinderstone
Fire and fall prof but looses Durability in the mix. The sword will tear through your foes while it lasts.
malachite + ashstone = Thraka
Good all around with only a small loss in ashstones speed and uses and malachites enchantability
Cinderstone + dragonstone = Pyralis
An attempt to strengthen Cinderstone it loses some of it's fire protection but adds some whither protection.
Sinisite + Pyralis = Dragon Bezoar
Once you make some of this you will fear no fire, fall or even the whither its self
Adds ore to the end and 2 alloys made from that ore. If you have the Extended Workbench Plugin installed you must update that to 2.2 before you install Endium
Endium armor gives a small speed boost
Telos (Endium + Mythril) armor gives a bigger speed boost highjump
Sunteleia (Endium + Dragon Bezoar) can only be made if Netherrocks Fusion is installed and prevents all damage (other than from hunger or void)
Recipes
Images to come
Telos: Endium Ingot + Mythril Ingot
catalyst:
Ender Pearl for small chunk
Eye Of Ender for medium chunk
Sunteleia: Endium Ingot + Large Dragon Bezoar chunk
catalyst:
Ghast Tear for small chunk
Wither Skull for medium chunk
Recycling disabled by default
Item + Endstone with dragonEgg as catalyst The dragonEgg is not consumed
Adds Wootz steel (known as Damascus steel in ancient Europe) Pig iron and Gray iron.
Pig iron is an intermediate product only useful for making other alloys. It is needed to make Gray iron and if refined can be used in place of iron to make Wootz steel. Option to also use refined Pig iron to make Sterling, Hadite, Blue Drift and Tungsten Steel off by default.
Gray iron is a utility metal good for making cookware that holds heat better. Gray Iron Furnace cooks at 1.5x speed, fuel can cook 25% more items.
Do to it's makeup and low tensile strength a gray iron block will drop graphite when broken. Graphite and a stick can be used to make a writable Book in place of ink and feather.
There is an option so that Graphite can also be combined with nether quartz in the fusion furnace with a gold nugget as a catalyst to make 2 Redstone dust. Off by default.
Wootz steel is a relatively easy to make steel but it is a multi step process and is not as good as many of the rarer metals and alloys or even the alchemy enhanced bronze and cannot mine Obsidian
Wootz steel tools can be turned into Hardened Steel tools in the fusion furnace using coal but doing so causes it to become very brittle and can no longer be repaired. A Hardened Steel pickaxe could be used to mine Obsidian but will break very quickly.
Recipes
PigIron:
A batch of 4 raw Pigiron is made in the fusion furnace from an Iron ingot and Sand with 2 coal as catalyst
3 raw Pigiron must be combined at a crafting table to get 1 Pig Iron ingot and that must further be refined in a furnace before it is useful
Gray Iron:
(old image no more medium chunk)
A Large Chunk of Gray Iron is made from a refined Pig Iron and a Iron ingot with sand as catalyst.
surround a furnace or fusion furnace with Gray Iron ingots to get a Grey iron furnace
Wootz steel:
Iron must be packed in "finely chopped pieces of wood" before it is added to the fusion furnace. To do that surround an iron or refined Pig Iron ingot with wood buttons.
The "Packed Iron" is added to the fusion furnace with fresh leaves (leaves block) and a catalyst of clay item gives small chunk and block gives large. For medium you can use a clay block with a sapling in place of the leaves.
Hardened Steel:
Recycling disabled by default
Same as raw Pigiron but with tools rather than iron.

Simple Ore Grinder
A Simple/upgrade-able coal powered ore grinder
Does not require Simple Ores but ATM higher level upgrades require simple ores materials I recommend AOBD for dusts
Adds coal powered grinders based on the "crusher" in older versions of Metallurgy using Simple Ores metals for the top tiers.
Plans for configurable upgrade to be usable with any.
If you have texture issues please re download
other notable things to grind
Stone or Cobblestone to Gravel
Gravel to Sand
Netherrack to Soul Sand
Glowstone to 4 glowstone dust
Sandstone to 4 sand
If Wootz steel is installed Gray Iron to Graphite
Code is on gethub
There is fallback code that will automatically convert any Ore Dictionary registered "ingot" or "ore" to 1 or 2 of the first Ore Dictionary registered "dust" of the same name if it can not find a recipe in it's list for the input
To add something to the grinders list from theoldone822.SimpleOreGrinder.Grinder.OreGrinderRecipes.addGrinding(Item inputItem, int inputMetadata, ItemStack output)
The metadata is optional but the metadata included recipes will be checked first over the ones without. Leaving metadata out will cause the recipe to ignore meta for that input unless there is a recipe using the same input that uses metadata.
allows you to use the Fusion Furnace as a Auto farmer. Config to turn off recipes
Put in the items needed to form something and the furnace will start producing it without using up the input.
Water bucket + Lava bucket + cobblestone = cobblestone
Water bucket + dirt + anyseeds/carrot/potato = crop from seed used
2x Oak sapling + apple = apple
3x same sapling = wood based on sapling
3x egg = egg
2x egg + Raw chicken = Raw chicken
2x egg + feather = feather
3x netherStar = netherStar (if you already have 3...)
2x netherStar + wither skull = wither skull
expBottle + Lava bucket + ingotIron = ingotIron
expBottle + Lava bucket + plantRed = plantRed
Simple Ores Dust
Adds Dust forms of Simple Ores metals and a coal powered grinder
1.6.4 and 1.7.2 No longer requires Simple Ores For 1.7.2/1.7.10 I recommend AOBD
A simple mod to add Dust forms of each of Simple Ores metals.
If you have Thermal Expansion installed it will also add Pulverizer recipes.
2.5 Adds coal powered grinders based on the "crusher" in Metallurgy but using Simple Ores metals for the top tiers.
Grinder rewritten for 1.7.2. Nolonger based on Metallurgy code.
SMELT ALL YOUR DUST INTO INGOTS BEFORE UPDATING Updating from 1.x to 2.0 cause all dust to disappear
For Applied Energistics
To use the grindstone add this to the "AppliedEnergistics.cfg" file under "grindstone"
Non Simple Ores stuff Armor Overlay Updated to 1.9
Makes armor on the HUD gold for each point above diamond you are. If you get full gold than it starts Diamond.
Image
Extended workbench stuff
Extended Workbench Tweaks
Allows changing extended tool/armor/weapon multipliers and has an option for requiring upgrading the crafting table before it will work as an extended workbench. Also has simple crafting recipes for converting non vanilla planks and sticks to vanilla ones.
To convert sticks craft 1 "stick"
for 2 planks craft ( x)
(x )
I didn't have planks 1to1 like the stick as that would override the button recipe. Download for 1.6.4 Download for 1.7.2/1.7.10

Use my source code however you want.
Find 'latest' src on my github
1) If you could, make a chart (using a monospace font like courier is easier) showing the tool/armor stats for your alloys. You may want to include the source materials for comparison.
2) Please consider bringing your chain plug-in here as well. It is not Simple Ores specific, but it would fit with the theme.
Also, for future reference, your post length is limited by physical length. As your post grows, you may want to make the fusion recipes displayed in rows instead of one long column. That will save you many inches of column space, which you can fill with other plug-ins.
EDIT: Oh! Can you tell us what the high-end furnace does?
Added a chart. Added information about the furnace, just forgot to sry.
I thought the spoiler tags would cut post length. Live and learn. I do my post in code mode and tried to put the recipes next to each other but looks like it 'fixed' that.
I will post the chain armor here when I get around to rebuilding it in eclipse rather than MCreator. What would you say to making the chain links out of tin?

Oh, don't worry, you'll revise it a few times.
And... dumb question, but... is the furnace made from Dragon Bezoar? I think it is based on the (cool purple) color, but I didn't see that explicitly named.

And you have just discovered one of my pet peeves about this site!
Look how I do my charts. I've fond that to be a good work-around. (I will also be adding your material to my master chart.)
I will post the chain armor here when I get around to rebuilding it in eclipse rather than MCreator. What would you say to making the chain links out of tin?
Um... tin is weaker than iron. Also, iron repairs chain.
What you can do is add four recipes. Replace each one of the iron ingots with a tin ingot. Essentially, you can replace one iron with tin, but the result is six chain pieces instead of eight.
I would say "You can add tin chain!", but that would be approaching buffed-up leather armor.
Nice work TheOldOne! Can never have too many plugins for SimpleOres as I have done for akka a number of times, if you have any requests for anything to be added/changed in the API, just let me know I'm more than happy to discuss it with you. Also, if you need any help, insight, or anything, just let me know. Me and akka have numerous PM's on all sorts of things
And... dumb question, but... is the furnace made from Dragon Bezoar? I think it is based on the (cool purple) color, but I didn't see that explicitly named.
Your right about that other than the not so dumb question I also had the Direct download link pointing the the wrong mod!

I should have been more clear but that is what I was thinking. You'r making chain as you'r short on iron so you may 'cheat' a little with tin.
I should have been more clear but that is what I was thinking. You'r making chain as you'r short on iron so you may 'cheat' a little with tin.
If you cut it with one tin (and I would go no lower than 3 iron to 1 tin), then cutting two mesh items would be fair.
You know... I was thinking about tin chain being a bit too weak to bother. However... what about chain versions of stronger materials? Like Pyralis, which is expensive to produce. What if you could essentially double your amount for armor by making chain, at a small cut to defense and cut to durability? (If you follow iron's pattern, perhaps even adding a point or two to enchantability?)
For something like Dragon Bezoar, it may be worth taking the loss in defense to get the special abilities more easily.
High end chain, sounds good. I'm working on merging the netherrocks and simpleores extended workbench plugins but I'll work on that when I finish the merge.
When I'm done with the merge it will be easier for me to add support more plugins to the EW.
OldOne, I've updated my master list of materials to include yours. This is based on the code in your "combined source code" download. If you could, I would appreciate it if you double-check the values on my table. Thank you.
The values are good on mine. I did see that Sinisite helm is listed at 3.5 but I believe only gives 3 def.
On special abilities:
Dragon Bezoar tools will also set its target on fire, can be used to start fires (right click) and auto-smelt. If you dig sand with the Shovel you get glass.
Pyralis tools will also set its target on fire, can be used to start fires (right click) but have reduced levels for it's effects. ie slow 2 rather than slow 3 and half the time.
Cinderstone sword will also set its target on fire, and can be used to start fires (right click)
Cinderstone Does not protect from Wither. only fall and fire.
Pyralis full set will reduce fire and Wither damage. Can be changed in settings default is by about half.
The technical bit on that is that damage from those sources works on ticks and each tick has a setting% chance to be canceled.
I looked back at my code to check and found when I copied the source I forgot to remove the fall check so it also has a chance of canceling fall damage. Do you think I should fix that or keep it as is?
Hey, got the first crash report on this thread, just for you!

The game crashes when I draw an arrow using any bow OTHER than the Dragon Bezoar bow.
Better Archery overrides the vanilla arrow behavior, so it's prone to causing problems with other mods that do the same, or add additional bows. However, I have SimpleOres + official plugins installed, which adds a few bows (mithril, onyx, thyrium, and sinisite). If the Netherrocks Fusion mod is uninstalled, these bows do not cause a crash on use.
Any idea how to get these mods working in harmony?
Looks like it's in your TickHandler, I'm looking into your GitHub source now. The fact that every other bow crashes EXCEPT the Dragon Bezoar one make me think you forgot a check somewhere.
EDIT: Hmm, you have a reference to Content.extendeddragonbezoarBow within your TickHandler. If Extended Workbench ISN'T installed though, this item is never initialized, which is what causes it to throw the NullPointerException. I'll submit a pull request on the GitHub with a suggested fix.
First of all, thank you TheOldOne and AleXndrTheGr8st for tracking down that bug!
Unfortunately, using the new 1.2 version, I get a crash on startup,

Any ideas?
Was there any more to the error? Some times above the stack traces there will be an almost identical error but it might start with NullPointerException or some such. It makes it easier to identify the actual problem rather than just where that problem is

Netherrocks Fusion
alloy pack for Netherrocks 1.6.4 and 1.7.2
Dragon Bezoar Furnace cooks at 3x speed, fuel last 2x as long, has 25% chance of doubling and 50% chance of giving 1 extra output
for normal single output recipes that gives 38.5% chance of 1 50% chance of 2 and 12.5% chance of 3
The stats and bonus on items are customizable
Alloys
Fire and fall prof but looses Durability in the mix. The sword will tear through your foes while it lasts.
malachite + ashstone = Thraka
Good all around with only a small loss in ashstones speed and uses and malachites enchantability
Cinderstone + dragonstone = Pyralis
An attempt to strengthen Cinderstone it loses some of it's fire protection but adds some whither protection.
Sinisite + Pyralis = Dragon Bezoar
Once you make some of this you will fear no fire, fall or even the whither its self

Wootz Pig and Gray
1.6.4 and 1.7.2/1.7.10
Pig iron is an intermediate product only useful for making other alloys.
Recipes
Old Change Log

For Moders

To convert sticks craft 1 "stick"
for 2 planks craft
( x)
(x )
I didn't have planks 1to1 like the stick as that would override the button recipe.

Awesome!
If I may make two small suggestions:
1) If you could, make a chart (using a monospace font like courier is easier) showing the tool/armor stats for your alloys. You may want to include the source materials for comparison.
2) Please consider bringing your chain plug-in here as well. It is not Simple Ores specific, but it would fit with the theme.
Also, for future reference, your post length is limited by physical length. As your post grows, you may want to make the fusion recipes displayed in rows instead of one long column. That will save you many inches of column space, which you can fill with other plug-ins.
EDIT: Oh! Can you tell us what the high-end furnace does?
Um... tin is weaker than iron.
Very nice. One reason I use code is on many sites doing so stops the removal of extra spaces for charts.
Hmm....
When I'm done with the merge it will be easier for me to add support more plugins to the EW.

―Mace Windu
The game crashes when I draw an arrow using any bow OTHER than the Dragon Bezoar bow.
Better Archery overrides the vanilla arrow behavior, so it's prone to causing problems with other mods that do the same, or add additional bows. However, I have SimpleOres + official plugins installed, which adds a few bows (mithril, onyx, thyrium, and sinisite). If the Netherrocks Fusion mod is uninstalled, these bows do not cause a crash on use.
Any idea how to get these mods working in harmony?
I'll pull the Extended Workbench support from Netherrocks Fusion and move it to my Simple Ores Extended Workbench Plugin.
Until I get the new build up installing Extended Workbench would fix it.
EDIT2: Okay that pull request is up. https://github.com/TheOldOne822/TheOldOne822Minecraftmods/pull/1
MCP does not want to recompile.
Edit: Recompile error just some code I had pulled into Eclipse that I should have just opened in Notepad++
Unfortunately, using the new 1.2 version, I get a crash on startup,
Any ideas?
Was there any more to the error? Some times above the stack traces there will be an almost identical error but it might start with NullPointerException or some such. It makes it easier to identify the actual problem rather than just where that problem is
