---Introduction--- Remember the "You Are Minecraft" event back in 2012? I noticed some of the skins people built had extra accessories on them that would not have been possible on a regular skin. Some people even sculpted who their avatar represented, totally disregarding the normal player model. That is what Minecraft is about! Creativity! Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to realize your avatar as a custom model instead of the same six re-textured cuboids?
---About--- The Custom Players Models mod allows users to easily create and load their own player models made of voxels. Each voxel is the size of a cubic pixel from the default model. The mod comes with a program called "Body Shop" for editing these models. Currently there is no built in functionality for transferring models over a server, so for now friends must manually share their files. I hope to add this feature in the future. The mod and program are both buggy right now, but you can help improve them by reporting bugs.

---Creating a Model With "Body Shop"---
---Installation---
Download Minecraft Forge for 1.7 (you can get it from files.minecraftforge.net under the 1.7 and use the installer for those using the vanilla launcher)
Extract the jar from the download zip which is the mod file and put it in mods and optionally in 1.7.2 so it does not conflict with other instances of MinecraftForge
Create your body in Body Shop and upload your patched skin!

Could you make a bukkit plugin so the server doesn't need forge? That could be cool for Servers that have a lot of plugins and don't want to make a second server just for this mod (which is awesome)
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to ask, Can you make a script for the software to get a starting model with your current minecraft skin? (No url needed, you could just use the image file)
does it work with other players online? (can you see their skins?)
that's wierd. my new model wont show up
ok, so ive created my model. ive send my skin to minecraft.net, hmm
still doesn't work. what did i do wrong?
Have you looked in 3rd person? if so can you post your development console from the launcher in a place like http://gist.github.com and I will have a look for you. or you can talk to me here or if you do not have a IRC client: here or here
By your second post you may have solved the issue, but feel free to contact me as I mentioned above and I am willing to help.
thank you verry much! but it already works. the only thing to do is make the model with the correct collors and not change them!
dang... this will take long............ GODS ABOVE! GRANT ME THE STRENGTH!
Hmm, odd, when I have the time tomorrow, I shall look into it properly, it should work with other colours.

Alrighty 2 questions that might fix some of peoples problems
1. If you have linked your minecraft account to an email do you use that or your regular username
2. What forge 1.7 version did you update this with, this can sometimes effect the usability of the mod

Since I am not using any specific forge 1.7 builds, any should work and your in game name, so if I logged in with [email protected] I still would use cazzar
PS one way of getting everyone to see other peoples skins/models can be to make a' server were everyone can upload there skin/modrls too canda like the mc-skin servers

If the server has the mod your model will be visible to other players else no.

for now, just download the BodyShop from here and if you use a custom minecraft directory move models from %APPDATA%/.minecraft
